Ryker has followed his brother to Earth realm to work as a paramedic. He finds a woman shot and beaten one night. He has to act quickly. It turns out that she is his heart's mate. Gabrielle was an undercover cop before she was discovered. She has always known that she would die due to her disease instead of being beaten up and shot. She was undercover trying to find something on the Zellini mafia. Will they be able to keep her from harm?

I read this book as part of the 3 box set. It refers to Valen from the first book as his brother and talks about things differently than the first book so that confused me. However, besides those differences it was an enjoyable book. When mates are found they are quick to mate.

I received this book as a gift to read and I would like to give an honest opinion of what I did read.
I liked this story because it was so different. Usually the female in the story even though at the beginning may not be strong within as the story goes forward they seem to grow and find their enter strength as the story goes on. This on is so much different. The heroine in this story is all ready a strong person the only thing that she thinks of and has resigned herself to is and early death do to her health. What I especially like is how the story works its way around and she can finally take care of the business that she had started with her undercover work.
The story starts with Gabrielle being tied to a metal chair getting beaten by two thugs that work for Raphael Zellini the head of the mafia in New York. She has spent months undercover getting information on him and his gang to put them behind bars. She had drove twenty miles out of the city and yet one of his minions follow her and saw her talking to one her officers. Now they were trying to beat out information from her but she didn’t care, she already knew she was dying and had resolved herself to the fate that the cystic fibrosis was destroying her lungs. Franko and Vinnie’s finally act before shooting her was to untie her arms; then they ran off. She dragged herself outside the warehouse she was in and got outside laying on the walkway.
Ryker had left his home land because he could not stand the way that his parents ruled the land. When he was young he had one friend; one in which he couldn’t tell them about because they thought everyone was below them as they were Royalty. His friend lived in the orphanage and one night he her his mother complaining about them and glad that they wouldn’t be around. He flew to the orphanage to see it burning down the only thing that could kill another dragon is with a cursed fire. It was then that he decided that he would do what his older brother did he would leave and go and live out with the humans. He decided that he would be a protector or healer even though some of the humans in the world could be so evil. He decided to go to Haunted Park where most of the mafia left they bodies of their victims and this is where his dragon smelled her. Hurt, bleeding and had the smell of being sick. He came upon her and realized that he had found his Dragon Heart. First he had to stop the bleeding and then he had to get her to the hospital.
The story get so much better from here on out, but I am not going to spill any more of the beans. The question is, is how is Gabrielle going react when she discovers that Ryker is a dragon shifter? What is Zellini going to do when he finds out she is still alive? There is all of this oh so much more.

Ok.
There was nowhere near enough of a plot or action for me. So I’d say that it’s an ok read. If you like a fair amount of sex you’ll like it. Much more could have been done to develop these characters which disappointed me for one.

One badass female cop, undercover, in the horrible mafia underworld gets made and is fighting for her life. But she’s been fighting for that for awhile. Gabrielle is sick and there’s no cure. But she didn’t think I she would be offed by the crew she’s investigating.
A gorgeous, hot dragon shifter, Ryker, has left his cruel world to make a place for himself among the humans. If only he could be so lucky as to find his dragon’s heart. The one and only that was made just for him, the other half of his soul. Some dragon shifters search their entire life and never find their mate.
But wait; What is that scent? Someone is in trouble. Ryker has to check it out.
Gabrielle’s world is closing in on her, her vision is going black. She thinks she must be hallucinating. No man is that beautiful.
Anastasia Chase takes you on quite the adventure in The Dragon’s Salvation. Everything from action to love to better make sure you have a cold cloth to wipe your brow because the fire coming from the dragon’s mouth isn’t the only heat you’ll experience!

It was a quick read, but the author packed it with all kinds of mouth watering goodness ......I fell in love immediately with Ryker, he is a paramedic "I am a medic. It’s my duty to make sure you are safe.” “Is that it?” She whispered. “I don’t understand why a medic, who I don’t even know, would be here, looking at me like he wants to light me on fire." Gabrielle she is a bad ass detective that was undercover trying to catch a mafia gangster. These two have their destiny pre determined for them, but will it come to be as his dragon wants it to be?
I REALLY LIKED this book, it was packed with action, tenderness, love making off the charts, funny sometimes, kick ass heroine, fire spewing dragon, HOT alpha, bad guys got what they deserved, and HEA. I was left tingling all over, really enjoyed it beginning to end!!!
Well done Anastasia Chase, can't wait for more.

The storyline is exciting till the very end! The characters are fantastic. The story will keep you glued to it's pages.
Gabrielle is an undercover police officer. Her department is working to take down a Mob boss. Gabrielle goes undercover only she gets found out! Gabrielle is not afraid to die. Because she has cystic fibrosis anyways. The mobs lackys best her up , and leave her for dead.
Ryker is a sexy Dragon shifter paramedic. As he is walking home he gets a scent of someone needing his help. When he follows the scent he finds Gabrielle. His Dragon heals her enough to transfer her to the hospital. When he found her he discovers she is his dragons heart. This means she is his fated mate. Now he must win her heart and protect her from the Mob!

I have to say that I don’t read a lot of dragon shifter stories - this was actually my first one - but I wanted to branch out in my reading experiences. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. This was a very entertaining story. The author created vibrant characters and a spellbinding story, with enough “shifter insight” so that I felt completely comfortable reading and understanding the nuances of the story, even though I haven’t read this type of book before. I loved that the story alternated between the two main characters, so we received both characters’ points of view. The story was fast paced and intriguing. And the romance was beautiful and inspiring and incredibly hot! Great story!

Gabrielle, an undercover cop who had her cover blown, is tortured and left for dead. She found by a dragon, named Ryker, and saved but cannot walk away. She is being hunted and Ryker has no intention of letting anyone hurt her again.
This story has plenty of edge of your seat action as well as steaming scenes we all love . Gabrielle and Ryker thrown together and sexual tension is high. There are moments I wanted to scream because they were so obviously hot for each other and always telling themselves why it was not the right time. Gabrielle finds out Ryker is a dragon and she is the one that he has searched for, his mate. They battle the evil out to get her and create fireworks in the bedroom. This is definitely NSFW! But a must read anyway!

Gabrielle is a cop undercover but almost killed by the Mafia, when a paramedic - and dragon shifter - finds her. He recognizes his fated mate in her and tries everything so she survives. Not only had she been shot and severely kicked, but she also suffers from CF, which is ultimately shortening her life span enormously. Now he only has to figure out how to tell her that he is a dragon shifter, a prince to boot and save her from the Mafia, who still send out killers for her.
An entertaining story, fairly acton packed in the beginning, with a slower end - but still some surprises packed into it. A really enjoyable read for the weekend or a day of rest.

She's resigned herself to her death - either by these idiots hands or by Systic Fibrosis - she knows she's gonna die. Until Ryker finds her, then she doesn't want to die - and she won't if he can help it.
This is a short but beautiful story that packs a punch. I loved the fact that these two beautiful souls managed to find each other and fall in love despite all the obstacles in their way and despite the evil men trying to kill Gabrielle. I particularly loved the way that she has a backbone that demands she sticks up for herself and fights her own battles - but what I love more is that Ryker loves her enough to give her support and encouragement while she fights.

A nice paranormal romantic suspense
Gabrielle, a police officer, took a dangerous undercover assignment that almost cost her her lie if it wasn't for Ryker, a dragon shifting paramedic. As the story progresses there are losses to be faced, truths to reveal and triumphs to celebrate. Dragon's Salvation is a nice paranormal romantic suspense. Anastasia Chase has stayed true to reality, only substituting paranormal characters and their abilities, in this undercover cop versus the mafia story.

Gabrielle is a undercover cop who ha been made by the mafia she is tracking when she is left for dead by them it is up to EMT Ryker to save her life. Ryker is a dragon shifter and in Gabrielle he has found his mate. Now he has to introduce her into his royal dragon world and at the same time keep her safe fro the mafia. Be prepared fr some steamy times between these two. Once again Anastasia has given us a great boo that has you turning the pages as fast as you can I have no hesitation in recommending this book in fact read all of her books

This book was absolutely amazing.
It was fast pace with lots of action and steam and kick butt MCs.
And dragons, I absolutely love dragons so that is why I thought this book was amazing because it hit all the things I like in a book.
Anastasia Chase is a gifted story weaving genius and I love her books and I’m always looking forward to future books.
So yes I most definitely do recommend this book to anyone who’s interested in crawling into this story and getting completely lost within its pages.

This is a about a woman with Cystic Fibrosis that is a cop. Ryker finds her half dead and uses his dragon abilities to heal her wounds from Zellini's thugs. He finds that she is his "dragon heart". The story kind of sells itself, but their are some major flaws, because he has healing abilities but can't heal her disease, but making her a dragon does. I've read the previous stories in this series and the mistakes are quite a few.

November 1, 2018I liked this book a lot. Ryker was wonderful and besides being a healer, he's a dragon. Gabriel is an undercover cop with a fatal disease. Having an expiration date she takes big risks to arrest the Mafia kingpin. I loved the way Ryker calls her "my heart". She adapted pretty well to her life with Ryker. This was an exciting cop thriller as well as a wonderful romance. I volunteered to read an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

Ryker is a Royal Dragon and EMT. Gabriel is an undercover cop with C.F. who finds herself in the middle of the mafia underworld after she gets made fighting for her life. Loved the connection Ryker felt for Gabriel and how she was his Dragon heart. Gabriel and Ryker's story is an action packed, well written read that had me hooked from the start. A beautiful romance of fighting the other half of your heart. She is one tough woman. She is facing death and still never gives in. Not to the mafia and not to a disease. She is an undercover cop and has made it her mission to take down one of the biggest crime bosses. But when she is seconds away from dying her angel appears. Angel or paramedic that happens to be in the right place. But he is something else too. Plenty of action and a few hot and romantic scenes.

The mafia guys come after her at home, and he takes her to a cabin in the woods. I won't reveal the story, but I will tell you it is well worth the read.

Action packed read that will definitely take you on a adventure. Filled with plenty of mystery, suspense, and of course steamy romance to keep you hooked from beginning to end. This was such a great book. The characters were so wonderfully written and the plot was so great. Gabriella was such a strong woman. Ryker was a dragon wanting to find his way in this world finding his heart in Gabriella. Together they found heat and beat the bad guys. Such a great book.

I love shifter books and reading this book I fell in love with it. It became a favorite of mine, one I will probably read more than once. I haven’t read the first one so now I need to go and get the first one. It was so hard to put this one down, it was so intense and hot. I loved their chemistry. I can’t wait for more....

After reading the first book, I guess I expected the second book to follow suit. Gabrielle is a cop under cover in the mafia web, she made a costly mistake that almost cost her her life if it was not for Ryker. It was an okay read overall.

I just loved this story, there is so much suspense, adventure and action. Ryker and Gabrielle are such awesome characters. She has so much strength and passion, I loved that her physical limitations didn’t slow her down at all. The love and passion between them is sizzling.

WOW WHAT A GREAT TALE !!

The Dragon's salvation is the second book in the Healing dragon series. This was an amazing story between a undercover detective, Gabrielle who is dying with a disease and an Dragon shifter who can heal her with his blood. I just loved the story and enjoyed reading it
