Mint & Emma

When Emma runs with the deadly secrets she holds, Mint is assigned to find her and protect her while also tracking down the blackmailer. It takes several weeks to find her and get the team set up and by this time the evil Aaron Jones has located her and wherever they go he is there to hurt them or someone dear to her. Finally the blackmailer is revealed to Emma because he thinks his goons will kill her shortly. Not so, for Mint rushes to the rescue. I can't believe it's going to take three books to bring this guy down!

Emma rocks

This thrilling story about the Double Down agency is just as suspenseful as the first book. The characters in the first book come into the story after we hear about Emma and her trials. Action packed all the way through, and secrets revealed at a slow pace, but it keeps the reader wondering. I enjoyed this book and appreciate the intricate storyline crafted by this powerful author.

Emma is on the run, trying to hiding from the blackmailer’s men and Double Down is intent on finding her and protecting her as well as finding out what she knows. Mint has been tasked with her safety. A non-stop action book where Emma is at her wits end and just wants to keep people safe. The Double Down team is tested, yet still determined to find the blackmailer and bring him to justice. Edge of your seat suspense that will keep the pages turning to find out what happens.

Be prepared to read all 4 books for the completion of the story. This book has interesting and likable characters with this one having a romance between Emma and Mint. There is a lot of mystery and action throughout the book. It's a good story, but I really don't like the over-arching story to go on through 4 books. I have read the first 2 but I'll likely leave the last 2 for another time.

Although I loved the continuation of the series mystery, I had a hard time with Emma's self-sacrifice and constant running. The romance fell flat. Yet, I'm anxious to read the next and see evil undone.

Emma was in the wrong place, when she went to ask the senator a question. Running and she heard shots, now trying to lay low. With thinking she can do something herself, and others are trying to keep her save. The tension is high and so is the body count. Mint has fallen hard for this woman and doing his best to keep her safe. Continues on in the next book.
