I’m Dani Warren, a witch who’s just trying to pay her bills and keep her demon magic a secret. I was doing fine until I managed to arouse the Magic Council’s suspicions.
When a woman comes into my office convinced she’s been cursed, I’m determined to figure out what wicked magic is making her life miserable. The curse isn’t like any magic I’ve ever seen.
Before I know it, there are fae creatures popping up all over the city. They’re deadly, dangerous, and in my way. And just when I think things can’t get worse, I manage to get cursed myself. Now I really have to find this the source of this vile magic before it gets me killed.
This really isn’t my week.
Demon Rogue is book 3 of the Brimstone Magic Series, a fast-paced suspenseful urban fantasy series with elements of humor and romance.
Tori Centanni is a nerd girl and a recovering goth. She likes dark, quirky stories with elements of humor. When not reading or writing, she can be found baking, watching too much television, and wrangling cats. She lives in the Pacific Northwest.
A woman comes to Dani, asking for her help. She thinks that she has been cursed with bad luck, and she wants Dani to find out what has happened. Dani tries to track down the one who does the curse, but she gets the curse herself. And she needs to do something about it, without alerting Conor, the Watcher who seems on her path a number of times.
First of all, the title is a little misleading for me because it's a . I enjoyed the story nonetheless -- I kinda liked that it didn't have anything to do with . It's Dani, and Conor, and both trying to locate the one responsible for the curse.
By the end of this book, ... I surely want to know how HE deals with this information.
Dani ends up getting a curse stuck to her, and things go from bad to worse. Now, she also has Conor trying to help, but he also wants to keep his job, and she's going to do whatever she can to get rid of the curse and keep her secret, but that may be harder than she thought.
I felt in this one Conor was a little bit different, he seemed a little more chipper for some reason, so that was odd, but other than that it was really good. BUT, it ended on a cliffhanger! I can't believe it ended like that, and I can't wait for more.
Dani’s latest client appears to be cursed, and investigating the case leads Dani to get cursed as well! Trying to get the curse lifted involves chasing the perpetrator around town, but it’s not at all an easy task…
There’s some intriguing close calls again for Dani in this book, and she’s still worrying about Conor discovering her secret. It’s not a standalone, it picks up approximately a month after the last book, and builds on the events in it. It’s an enjoyable, fast paced urban fantasy, with a little hint of mystery added to it, and fans of UF or Paranormal mystery books will probably enjoy it.
This book starts off different than the rest. The others was back to back but this one was about a month or so later in the book. It had confused me at first and I was wondering if I was still in the storyline. No biggie though. This one was quite interesting and a little different than the first two. I liked the storyline!!! Now after 65% things start heating up and that’s where it’ll hook you. And with an ending like it had I’ll defiantly read the next one- can’t wait!!!
Stayed up all night to finish it. Super interesting and I’m loving the developing story and romance. I’m glad the next book is out already because I have to know what happens next!
