Oh my God! ....Just his voice has her melting and more than willing to do anything he asks...and he asks a lot!
Elijah is confused and torn by his desire for Abigail. He needs her on an elemental level that has never happened to him before and he is not sure that he likes it... but he is helpless to stop it.
Abigail knows that getting involved with her boss is wrong on every level. She has no will to resist his intense pull and no experience to understand what is happening to her. She can deny him nothing.
This part picks right back up where part 1 left off. It's getting very mysterious... why did Abigail's mother kill a man? Who sent the package and why?
Why is Elijah so worried about his father coming out of a coma...what happened the night his father almost died? What has happened in his life to damage him to this point?
I cannot wait to have these questions answered.
The sexual tension is off the charts and the sex is hot! On to part three!

Book two as this improper relationship between boss and employee continues to develop.
Let me start by admitting that I have not read book one. The good news is that I had no problems understanding the story, so readers are free to jump in at this point. The bad news is that I now desperately want to know how they got to this point, so I am going to have to go back and get book one. The bottom line: You can easily jump in here, but you are going to want to start at the beginning.
This is a very short BDSM erotica story with some very interesting and unusual components which really make it stand out for me. First, while our heroine is a virgin (who knew there were still so many in this day and age?), she is tough and calls her boss on his crap at each turn. That does not mean she walks away from the budding relationship. Second, our hero never gets undressed during the story and our heroine is still a virgin at the end of the story. Talk about taking it slowly.
That does NOT mean there isn't any sex, because there is and it is just as hot and steamy as you would expect. There are elements of D/S, light bondage and punishment throughout. There is also the usual office politics, friends trying to save her from bad decisions, the jealous boss, etc.
I found the story to be very well written and easy to read. The characters are actually very well done for such a short story. And as I alluded above, the story left me wanting more. Oh, and note is does end on a bit of a cliffhanger.
Highly recommended.

Both our H/h are confused: Elijah wondering WHY he is so damn focused on this particular woman, is she just a temporary itch he needs to scratch to get her out of his system? Anything else just doesn't enter his mind. And Abigail is confused: Elijah is her boss, he's intense with her & then just walks away without further comment & yet, & yet, he makes her body instantly react sexually in a way she's not experienced before. And why does he just end/walk away with further comment after their steamy encounters? Is he messing with her? Using her?
This portion of the story advances their push & pull jousting match to the point Elijah informs Abigail just why he cannot continue a relationship with her. But Abigail, to his hopeful excitement, does not say no.
On top of everything with Elijah, Abigail has a nasty run in with her former employee & now publishing line rival & then finds out why she was having trouble logging into a program on her work computer.
Things are heating up all around for Abigail . . . .

I have read many books by Hannah and couldn’t wait for the next installment of this series. This continues the story of Abigail and Elijah that ends on a cliffhanger. Elijah and Abigail have a heated moment which Elijah tells Abigail the next day that it can’t happen again. But saying and believing are two different things. Abigail struggles to fight her attraction to Elijah. What happens when a photo captures the two of them alluding to something more between them and Abigail’s computer account password needs to be reset? We’ll have to wait to the next installment.

This is book two of Hannah Ford's series, The Belt. It picks up right where book one ended at the Octane Restraunt where Elijah had taken Abigail to 'discuss her hiring another editor.' What they talk about takes both of them by of them by surprise. Each having self doubts about their own actions and each other. It was intriguing to meet Elijah's brother Ryan and a stilted conversation they had at the sport bar. And afterwards, his visit to his father and unanswered questions there. We still don't know who or why Abigail was sent the manila envelope at her desk without a postmark. And the hostility of a co-worker is blatant. This just took off running and hasn't slowed down yet.

Hannah’s new series is amazing. It seems like Elijah like some to play games. And Abigail can’t help herself when it comes to the dominate Elijah. But you know when you read Hannah’s book they aren’t the lovey dovey sweet love stories so be prepared for angsts and cliffhangers!

Good read
Disapointed in Author for a 'short' story for the cost! That is the only reason for the 3 stars. Otherwise, love the storyline and characters. Lucy is crazy and wondering her mental state at book 2. Last chapter...paragraph was hilarious. Has to be Lucy. Always enjoy the authors writing style and alpha male presence.

Elijah takes control
Elijah takes control over Abigail. He asks personal questions that he shouldn’t ask. He gets the answers he wants. He can’t stay away from Abigail. He has never had this feeling before. His brother is getting married but pushed the wedding up because his fiancé is pregnant. Elijah acts happy for him. The only problem I have is the book are so short.
