This was a fun one to read. For awhile now we knew Kelli had a crush on Luke, but he didn't see her. part of that was due to his being engaged to someone else. Interesting how when Luke needed someone by his side for the gala he instantly thought of Kelli. I was happy that he did as it hopefully would give Kellie the perfect moment to make her move and boy did she. I loved how blunt Kellie was when she talked to Luke about what might happen when they were away, it was the opposite of Luke's uncomfortable feeling. Funny how once Kellie started talking sex Luke really started to see her differently, not the ranch hand, but as a woman.

The time at the gala seemed magical for them. They got to explore each other as a couple, they met friends and business contacts, just plain had fun. I think being away from the Stone Ranch helped, it allowed them to only focus on each other without all the other family members butting in.

Getting back to the ranch things changed. At first it seemed like things were changing for the worst, but it didn't take Luke too long to pull his head out of his ass and let Kelli know that what happens at the gala doesn't stay there.

I really liked how business game from the gala, how it essentially saved the ranch and how the Stone's rewarded Kelli. But I think the best thing about Kelli's reward was how she proved that she was 100% all in with the Stones, that they really were her family.

The little bit of drama about Kelli's family ended up being a great thing. I liked that Kelli embraced this and made a place in her life for it.

Finding Part of the Future in the Past

Vivian Arend Stones of Heart Falls bk 03 A Ranchers Bride

I absolutely love Kelli James and Luke Stone together! They're story is full of love, family, and friendships (common themes in Vivian's books). There are surprises and twists and a punch of angst, but mostly it is love and passion. I just wish there was more of it!

The forced proximity definitely helped things steam up. The long-time crush realized is so sweet. There's discovered family and more.

As scary as it can be, I love how Kelli is willing to stick her neck out to help women in trouble get to safety. I like that Luke puts two and two together and starts to form a picture of who she really is and what makes her tick.

When it comes to Luke, he proves he can wrangle a filly. 🫣🤠🪢🔥 When he's curbing those hot caveman tendencies, he shows what a tender and caring heart he has. 😍

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrator is Tatiana Sokolov. She consistently provides a good listening experience.

***5 ‘Rightest Thing’ Stars***

I was all kinds of excited when it was announced that this book would be about Luke and Kelli because I already liked both of them, but then when I saw that there would be a ‘fake relationship’ thing going on, well, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on their story and A Rancher’s Bride did not disappoint! It was a fun, sweet and smexy read and filled with great characters and a lot of heart.

Kelli is a spitfire. This girl is made of grit, steel and a whole lot of heart. She may be a little cautious when it comes to letting people in, but when she does, she gives them everything she has and then some. Luke is a sweetheart, an Alpha, but a sweetheart. He’s hard working and loves what he does. He can be a little clueless at times, but once he figures things out, he’s all in.

Kelli and Luke’s journey to their HEA was a lot of fun. What helped things along was the fact that they were already friends, but what made it fun was how their views of each other evolved over the course of the book and how they realized that they were perfect for each other. I loved their bantering and the smexy was HAWT! There are a few bumps in their road, but nothing OTT craycray, though there were a few little twists here and there that definitely kept things interesting.

I’m a #fangirl of the authors, have been for a long time, and her books always hit the spot. They are what I label “no muss, no fuss” types of romance, no matter the trope she chooses to tackle because she keeps things on the level. The drama is there, but never gets into the OTT realm and the characters, ALL the characters, are well written and leave an impression. And while this is the last book of this particular series, this isn’t the last time we’ll be seeing any of these characters since there will be more romance coming out of Heart Falls and I cannot wait to see what happens next!

A Rancher’s Bride is everything I’ve come to expect from Vivian Arend and so much more! The story is packed with the trials and wonder of life on the land, an unrequited love, family values and a touch of sadness and mystery too. The Stone brothers have grabbed ahold of our hearts since we first encounter them, back before the Heart Falls series began; and true to all of Ms Arend’s series, they have continued to exceed my expectations of what family and commitment really means.

Luke Stone has an undeniable feeling that a devastating loss is imminent and that he must be the one to save the family business and the home they have loved for their entire life. So with the help of their long time ranch hand Kelli, Luke hatches a plan to ensure the future of the Silver Stone Ranch and everything he holds dear to his heart. What Luke doesn’t expect, or even entertain, is the prospect of finding a love so true that he thought it was merely a fantasy.

This is an exceptional story and Luke and Kelli’s characters are perfect together. They not only share a love for Silver Stone, but a commitment to the future, a pride in all things equine, and a family bond far beyond blood ties. Ms Arend has penned an enchanting story with easy ebb and flow, an engaging plot, and a fabulous support cast that add humour and depth to an already captivating story.

I’m a little bereft to see the Stones of Heart Falls series end, but know that Ms Arend will have something exciting planned for the future, as there are still so many wonderful characters to tell their tales.

This one started out strong but I got a little bored toward the end. I thought the secondary subplot was kind of unnecessary and mostly resolved very quickly as to not produce much conflict or drama. The characters were nice and seemed like fine enough people, if a little blah. I guess I just didn't feel like either of them really grew that much and so it was just kind of a pleasant story of two normal people falling in love.

Once again I jumped into this series with my first read being book 4. No regrets, perhaps I will have to read this one again to maintain the flow after I read books 1 - 3 but 'A Rancher's Bride' was the one calling out to me.
Kelli has had a longtime crush on Luke and he is oblivious. And the fun begins.

Cheers

I really don’t know how author Vivian Arend keeps doing it; she continually writes sweet yet sexy western romances and keeps them fresh and exciting. I loved the “fake fiancée” set up in A Rancher’s Bride especially since the “bride” has been sporting a major crush on the hero for years and despite their working relationship he couldn’t keep things platonic. I loved the heat between these two, the fact that they already knew one another fairly well, and how much they respected one another even before they gave in to their attraction.

When Luke Stone gets an invite to a networking gala having a significant other is a priority and despite his recent broken engagement he decides their ranch hand, Kelli James, whose expertise with the animals fits the bill. But their week away turns into so much more and the connections they make both personally and professionally will change their lives forever.

I so enjoyed watching these two fall and grow more enamored with each day, I loved the respect they had for one another and how easily they found it was to share their past with one another. Kelli’s past was complex and that made Luke appreciate her perseverance even more. I adored how important Silver Stone Ranch’s future was to Kelli and how she aimed to do everything to make sure it was there for generations to come.

One thing I always appreciate in Ms. Arend’s books is that while the story is focused on one couple, the family is always in the background to provide support, words of wisdom, and sometimes interesting surprises in luggage.

A complete delight from beginning to end filled with laughter, love, and a few revelations, A Rancher’s Bride is a well executed, excellent story.

Luke Stone has known Kelli James since she showed up at the family ranch when Kelli was just 16. Kelli has always had a thing for Luke but he's never seemed to notice. With the family ranch on the edge of success or failure Luke needs a fiance to take to a big gala for people in the horse business. Kelli knows her horses and is fun and easy to get along with so she's the perfect choice. For Kelli though it's the perfect chance to let Luke know how she feels. It's seems to go great until it's time to go home and live in the real world. Especially when someone from Kelli's secretive past shows up. The author has let Kelli be a bit of a mystery in the past three books. Finally you get the story of Kelli. Who she is and where she came from but Kelli gets some surprises of her own. Loved to see these to finally get together.

In this installment of the Heart Falls series from Vivian Arend, Luke Stone gets an invitation to an exclusive gala event for horse ranch owners. He's thrilled to be able to finally do something to help the family with their money woes. There's only one hitch -- it's a family oriented event and a fiancée or wife is expected, but Luke has just recently broken it off with his rich girlfriend.

Kelli James has worked at the ranch with the Stone brothers for years. New employees are given a "hands-off" warning as the brothers and others on the ranch have taken it upon themselves to take care of Kelli. They see her as part of the family. And right there is what I love about this series -- there's a wonderful family vibe going on throughout all the books that warms my heart.

When Luke puts Kelli's name on the gala rsvp, he makes one critical mistake and that's not telling Kelli that she has to pretend to be his fiancee. She finds out en-route and uses that to her advantage -- she's had a major crush on Luke for years and this is her opportunity to get a taste of him, even if it isn't forever.

Luke goes along with it, and in the end, he ends up realizing that his feelings for Kelli are more than just friendship. They have some real chemistry together, and their common goal of saving the ranch brings them even closer. Not only are Luke and Kelli steaming hot together, they make some terrific friends too. But Kelli isn't sure if Luke wants her for her, and so there's some tension there when they return home, along with some secrets that are revealed that put another wrench into Kelli staying with Luke.

I just really loved these two together. It was great to see them come to a new understanding about their relationship, and the rest of the clan is 100% on board with them being together. This is just a really sweet, low drama romance that left me smiling and wanting more by the final pages. I've enjoyed this entire series so much.

So if you are looking for a low conflict sort of romance that will warm your heart, The Rancher's Bride might just do the trick. Vivian Arend's writing is easy to read and easy to fall into the story and transports the reader to another world. I love that about it.

I will openly admit I wanted Luke and Kelli to be together from the very first book in the Heart Falls series. I was super excited to see with A Rancher's Bride, readers would finally get their story, and it was so worth the wait.

I have to be honest and say how much I didn't like Luke's former fiancé Penny. She seemed way too bitchy to ever fit in with the Stone family. Kelli has pretty much fit in from the moment she showed up at Silver Stone and really is just like a member of the Stone family. When Luke needs someone to go with him to represent Silver Stone, and pose as his significant other, the only person he thinks of is Kelli.

I loved seeing Kelli and Luke's relationship move from coworkers to more. They have always had pretty great chemistry and I love the banter back and forth between them. I just have always felt like they understood each other in a way others didn't get. When they shared their first kiss I had all the happy sighs happening and loved how fast it moved from a simple kiss to a smoking hot kiss. I've loved all of the couples from this series to date, but have to admit I've always seen there was more between Luke and Kelli.

A Rancher's Bride gave me all the happy feels the entire time I was reading it. I loved seeing Luke and Kelli share more about their pasts the closer they became. They just felt like the perfect couple to me. They both were so protective of each other and I loved watching them each realize how much they loved one another. I also loved how all the other members of the Stone family never made Kelli ever feel like less than family. The fake relationship to real relationship troupe is one of my favorites and Vivian Arend did it perfectly with A Rancher's Bride. I highly recommend her books to other readers who love contemporary romances.

Entertaining, happily ever after, some steamy romance with a touch of mystery!

"A Rancher's Bride" is the third book of Vivian Arend's The Stones Of Heart Falls. I am enjoying this series so much I find myself ordering the next book in the series before I even finish the last. And without even a second thought about blowing my monthly book budget or my too full To Be Read shelf!

"A Rancher's Bride" employs a familiar trope - the fake engagement. However, immersed in the world of rich and famous horse breeders in Canada, Vivian Arend was able to make an old trope seem new. With a mystery reveal at the end "A Rancher's Bride" kept me glued to the pages from beginning to the end.

Again, Vivian's character development is a work of art. Not only are Her main characters so real they practically jump off the page and perform in your living room, her supporting characters are vital to the storyline and recieve the same talented treatment. While only partly set in Heart Falls in small town Canada (which I have come to know so well I could find it on my trip to Canada), her resort setting in this novel was a welcome addition to the series. Her description of the resort, reminded me of a beautifully designed travel brochure and had me adding it to my bucket list of places to visit. I haven't been around horses since my High 4-H days over 40 years ago but "A Rancher's Bride" had me itching to get back in the saddle.

So far I have been thoroughly pleased with this series. I eagerly look forward to what Vivian has in store for us in the next two books!

If you are a fan of the boss/friends to lovers romance trope, then you will enjoy A Rancher's Bride by Vivian Arend. I have read many of Ms. Arend's books and this one is a nice addition to her offerings. The characters are intriguing, and the ranch setting is replete with brotherly love, amazing friendships, and the constant need to be profitable. This is the fourth book from the author's series Heart Falls, and it can be read as a standalone.

Kelli James and Luke Stone have worked side-by-side on Luke's family's ranch for years. Kelli's longtime crush finally evolves into something more when they both attend the rancher's premier gala together. The gala is a means to drum up new business and schmooze with the biggest horse enthusiasts in the region. This one event can put the Silver Stone ranch on everyone's radar. Since coupledom epitomizes commitment and stability, Kelli and Luke pretend to be romantically involved while they are networking. Within a week, they become more than friends while experiencing the best sex of their lives.

This is a great story, however, the pace was a bit slow from time to time. Kelli and Luke are a hot couple, both in and out of the bedroom. I liked how Ms. Arend evolved their friendship into true love. I did not see the twist at the end coming, which made the story even more enjoyable. Overall, a solid read.

In full disclosure, I'm on Vivian Arend's review team. However, these opinions are all my own.  This is the fourth book in the Heart Falls series.  It actually stand on its own quite well.

A Rancher's Bride is a friends to lovers story.  There's also a fake relationship thrown in for good measure.  And I suppose technically there's also an "in love with the boss" trope as well.  The book follows Luke, a ranch owner, and Kelli, one of his ranch hands.  The ranch is in financial trouble and Luke has the chance to attend a gala where he can schmooze and hopefully make some connections to turn the ranch's future around.  The only  hitch is that he needs a significant other.  So he enlists Kelli to help him, unknowning that she has a serious crush on him.  In normal romance fashion, sparks fly and a happily ever after occurs.  But the trip there is actually quite fun.

I enjoyed getting to know these two.  They danced around each other and their growing feelings.  They're both quite likeable and find themselves in a weird situation.  I even liked the secondary characters.

I kept turning the pages as I wanted to know how things were going to get resolved.  There were a couple of twists and turns to keep me on my toes.  I really did enjoy this story and can't wait to read more in the series.

Great read! loved the characters

I absolutely adores this one! This one pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention the entire time. I loved Kelli and Luke! This can be read as a standalone but if you have read the previous books in the series then you will recognize both Kelli and Luke. Luke is one of the brothers and Kelli has been working at the ranch for years and has just about become part of the family. I loved watching Luke immediately want to take Kelli to the event with him, knowing she was the perfect person. Kelli finally wants to take her chance and make a move on Luke and the Gala is the perfect opportunity. I loved how strong Kelli is and that she lets Luke know when he has messed up and gets her point across. Luke was great too as he started to see Kelli in a different light, as a woman and one that there could be something with. Once he started seeing it, he couldn't believe he missed it the whole time. I loved watching them together as they just fit and this story was very cute and adorable because of it. I loved watching them work things out. This story was easy to dive into and I wanted to stay. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Excellent!!! Very well written romance story, I love both characters. Kelli is bold, hard working, sassy and grateful. Luke is such a gentleman, a bit more reserved or rather has an one track mind focused on not losing his family ranch. A few days away from the ranch handling ranch business, helps clear the “air” a bit and Luke really makes you long for the opportunity to fall for this cowboy. Their story really touches the heart, their chemistry is off the charts & their antics are at times hilarious. They are very well matched also have great family circle on the ranch, very supportive & upfront. I love that the author focuses on plot and the couple without all the "extra" drama that is so overwhelmingly popular these days, it keeps you on track with the plot and lets you settle down into their story, love that.

Oh my gosh, where do I begin? The Stone ranch is in trouble. All of a sudden an unexpected invitation is made that could help the ranch significantly. But the only Stone who could attend is Luke and he needs a significant other. So he lists Kelli. Oh yeah, and he doesn't tell her the role she needs to play until they are halfway to the location. And so begins the fake fiancee storyline.

I love the chemistry between Luke and Kelli. And I love Jack and Diane (will we see more of them in the future?). I found it interesting that Mr. Carlyn was so interested in Kelli. What is that all about?

So what happens when the fairytale ends and everyone has to return home and back to real life? Will love prevail or will life get in the way? Enjoy the carriage ride.

I love this book as I do all of the others in this series. The only bad thing about the book is that it ended! I could read about the Stone family forever. I feel like I’m part of their family and I love revisiting with all of the characters. I was glad Luke finally got the chance to realize his true feelings for Kelli. Kelli and Luke’s story is a great story about not realizing the great thing that’s been right in front of you. A great friends to lovers story. I can’t wait to read Ginny and Dustin’s story but in the meantime I’m looking forward to The Whiskey Creek Coleman girls!

Luke and Kelly were just about perfect together! Friends to lovers, lovers to love, and getting the HEA they both so richly deserve. Kelly near about broke my heart sometimes, but she was always so positive, so upbeat, if she didn’t feel sorry for herself, then there was no way you could. Luke was always so steady, and when he finally realized Kelly had been right in front of him all this time, even he was sideswiped by that realization. A lot of fun, a lot of sexy, a lot of friendly banter, and solid commitment, I absolutely loved these two!

REVIEW: 3.75 stars--A RANCHER’S BRIDE is the fourth instalment in Vivian Arend’s contemporary, adult HEART FALLS erotic, romance cowboy series focusing on the Stone Siblings of Heart Falls, Alberta-Caleb, Luke, Walker, Ginny and Dustin. This is thirty-something, rancher Luke Stone, and twenty-three year old, ranch hand Kelli James’ story line. A RANCHER’S BRIDE can be read as a stand alone without any difficult. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. The HEART FALLS series is a spin off from the author’s SIX PACK RANCH series, but you do not have to have read the original series to follow or understand the current story lines.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Luke and Kelli) A RANCHER’S BRIDE follows the friends to lovers relationship / fake fiancé trope between thirty-something, rancher Luke Stone, and twenty-three year old, ranch hand Kelli James. Eight years earlier, lost and on the run, Kelli James found her way to Silver Stone ranch in the hopes of procuring a place to live, and a much needed job. Meeting Luke Stone stirred something deep within the young teenage girl but Luke was about to enter into another relationship that forced Kelli to watch from the sidelines as the man with whom she would fall in love, fell in love with someone else. Fast forward to present day wherein Luke, now single and desperately trying to save the Silver Stone ranch, invites Kelli to the Triple Crown Gala, where the who’s who of horse breeders gather to schmooze and set up deals. What ensues is the building romance and sexual relationship between Kelli and Luke, and the potential fall-out as their time together draws to a close when the gala comes to a satisfying conclusion.

Luke and his brothers are desperately trying to save the Silver Stone ranch since the death of their parents years before. An invitation to the Triple Crown Gala meant the possibility of saving the ranch, and securing a financial windfall but the hosts were all about ‘family’ meaning Luke needed Kelli to pose as his fiancé in order to put up a united front. What they never expected was to fall in love, or have their future relationship threatened by someone from the past.

The relationship between Kelli and Luke is one of friends to lovers; a fake fiancé / employee and boss arrangement between two people desperate to find something more. Luke’s previous relationship ended in disaster, and Kelli was in no position to become the rebound lover but offers herself up for their time away. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters including Caleb and Tamara (A Rancher’s Heart 1), Walker and Ivy (A Rancher’s Song #2), Hannah Lane (A Firefighter’s Christmas #3), youngest brother Dustin; veterinarian Josiah Ryder; Tamara’s sister Lisa Coleman : Ivy’s sisters Tansy and Rose; Silver Stone ranch foreman Ashton Stewart; Triple Crown gala attendees Jack and Diane, and Timothy Carlyn. Josiah and Lisa’s story line is next in The Cowgirl’s Forever Love, the first instalment in the author’s new spin-off series The Colemans of Heart Falls.

THE RANCHER’S BRIDE is a story of family and friendship; romance and love. The premise is engaging, heart warming and inviting; the characters are spirited and moving; the romance is seductive. THE RANCHER’S BRIDE is a delightful romance between two people who deserve their own happily ever after.

The Rancher’s Wife is the third and final book in the Stones of Heart Falls series and IMHO may be the best of the three. And that’s not to disparage the first two books which I thoroughly enjoyed. This book features the much anticipated (at least by readers of the series) romance between Kelli and Luke. Kelli has been an intriguing secondary character in the first two books. A young female ranch hand who can ride, rope and do everything the guys can do (often better) in a diminutive 5’2” body. Kelli has always had a secret crush on Luke but first when she was hired on to Silverstone Ranch when she was only 15 years old (fake I.D.) she was too young. Then Luke became engaged to Penny putting him off limits. Now Luke is a free man and Kelli is about ready to make a move. And fate plays right into her hands. Luke has an opportunity to attend a week long retreat where a lot of movers and shakers in the horse breeding industry will be in attendance. A chance to network and possibly drum up business for his financially struggling family ranch. For Luke the problem is to join this group he needs to show he’s in a committed relationship to win their trust and approval. Enter Kelli. Luke and Kelli have been friends for years. Her love of all things horses rivals his own and he knows her sparkling personality would be an asset in promoting their ranch. So he signs Kelli up as his significant other to attend the function with him.
I really enjoyed the way the author allowed this romance to develop slowly even after their relationship becomes sexual. And if you like some sexy in your romances there’s plenty of it in this story? Kelli may not be the most experienced lover but her natural boldness and willingness to go after what she wants makes up for any lack of experience she might have. Of course if these two could actually communicate their feelings this would have been a much shorter book. But in the fine tradition of romance novels they’re both secretly falling deeper in love with one another while both being afraid to tell the other just how deep their feelings run until the very end of the book. While Kelli and Luke are far and away the feature couple in this story we get to see how things are going with Caleb and Tamara and their kids and Walker and Ivy as well as Tamara’s sister Lisa who is featured in the next book in a new series The Colemans of Heart Falls as well as the other women who make up a group of close knit friends in the previous stories.
For me it was Kelli and her feisty personality, her vulnerability and her caring nature that made this story a great read.

It's nice being back in Heart Falls with the Stones. They're a tight-knit group who work well together. Even when they're making bone-headed, spur of the moment decisions without taking into account how it might affect certain other people.

*ahem* Like Luke did with Kelli.

Now, to be fair, Luke really was thinking about how this opportunity would be a step in the right direction for the ranch. Which is good. He just didn't think to inform Kelli of his teeny-tiny prevarication until he 11-th hour. Which could have been DISASTROUS. Fortunately for him, Kelli's both smart and willing to do what it takes to help the ranch.

The fact she's been pining for him for YEARS doesn't hurt either. Because, you know, spending quality one-on-one time with the man you've come to admire and wouldn't mind getting physical with isn't that much of a hardship. Providing she doesn't get her heart broken in the end.

A slew of familiar faces rounds out the cast of characters. All the Stones want to find a way to keep the ranch in family hands and they're willing to think creatively to do it. *thumbs up*

On the brink of losing the Stone Family Ranch Luke gets given passes to a very fancy week long gala with all the high rollers in the horse industry. This just might be the ticket to save the ranch's finances. As it is very family oriented Luke comes up with the idea to ask Kelli James - his ranch hand to attend with him and pretend to be his bride-to-be, not realizing that Kelli has secretly been in love with him for years. This book really pulls your heart strings in the best possible way. Luke soon finds himself falling for Kelli but does not immediately realize it. There is drool worth country charm oozing out of this book and I love how the entire family gets involved. It is an extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting read with lots of surprising twists and turns - one you will not soon forget. There is lots of panty melting sex thrown into the mix as well. It is a must read! The entire series is unbelievabbly hot! Sizzling romance at it's best - clever mix of seduction and heat. I highly recommend this whole series of books and can't wait for the next book by Vivian Arend to surface! I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily chose to review. I know I will be reading it again just to make sure I did not miss anything. Great book!

Fourth installment of the Heart Falls series, and it’s adorable!! This is Luke & Kelli’s story, they have a working relationship and friendship that blossom into something more over a working week event. Which started off bumpy but they manage to work thru it 😉 they are perfect for each other, with Kelli’s forever crush on Luke, and Luke being free from his now ex-fiancé, that no one liked..... she was a major itch with a capital “B”!! AND we finally get Kelli’s story too!!! This was something that has been hinted at in the past books. That Kelli has an awesome character of strength and feistiness. Makes you wonder how in the world Luke hadn’t truly noticed her before, oh right she was his employee and their friendship....which shows his great character too. But when he finally does....watch out sparks fly.

Very cute friends to lovers story with a very HEA with some happy twists. Oh and all the Stone family are there too with their own fun loving involvement and banter....right along with those adorable nieces, and their pet goats!! There is a bit more involvement in others outside of the Stone family but very much involved with the family, so looking forward to possibly more books/Novellas on them.....hint hint.

Kelli James starting working on Silver Stone Ranch when a bunch of new hands were expected years ago and is now considered to be part of the Stone’s extended family. So much so that when Luke received an invitation to a big breeders event and needed to bring a fiancé, he added Kelli’s name without giving it a second thought. Kelli has had a crush on Luke Stone for years without his knowledge but that is about to change now that this opportunity has just dropped into her lap. Luke is not going to know what hit him! The event turns out to be a success but it is also an awakening for Kelli when she meets a man from her past. She and Luke have a lot on their plate with all that’s going on at the ranch and this new revelation, but with determination, anything is possible.
I received an audio of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Loved the book and the characters. So glad it’s part of a series so I can get to know all of them better.

With his family ranch in desperate financial need Luke Stone accepts an invitation to the gala of the year where top business deals are made. In order to make the ranch look more appealing her needs to have someone with him who is familiar with how the ranch business works. Now that Luke is no longer engaged he feels that Kelli James is the perfect solution. Kelli loves Silver Stone Ranch and views it as her home and will do whatever it takes to save it. Going as Luke's pretend significant other is no inconvenience (since she has always had a secret crush on him).

Their pretend relationship takes a different turn when things heat up between them. But what happens when this business trips ends?

This is Book 3 in The Stones of Heart Falls series. We finally get Luke and Kelli’s story. What a great story it is, too. They are off to a week-long business event and she finds out that she’s going to be playing his fiancée. She’s had a crush on him so is this a chance of a lifetime for her? This is such a sweet romance with a lot of exciting things going on. Luke’s ex-fiancée happens to make an appearance, too. The chemistry between Luke and Kelli is so much fun to watch. I’m so glad that I got a chance to read it. If you like slow and fun romance, then this is the one that you need to read. There’s just enough spice to make it exciting but not R-rated.
