I have discovered that when it comes to love, you can never really lose. If we dare to sit long enough for the breaking, still enough for the healing, and open enough for the filling, we can be whole again. Whole is a collection of poetry, reflections, and searingly vulnerable journal entries. A devotional accompanies each poem, inviting the reader to reflect on their own life journey. This anthology is a timely and profound reminder that although love and life can render themselves heartbreaking, pretense- this shame-filled, anemic attempt at masking who we are and what we’re feeling- no longer needs to be our answer. Even in the face of pain, there is hope.
This book of poetry was such a timely read for me. It articulated so many emotions that I’ve been experiencing on my road to wholeness. Aziza’s voice is authentic and captivating. She invites readers to be able to relate to God in a way that is tangible and it’s so heartwarming.
This book is an invitation into the depths, the journey to wholeness, which often is messier than we care to admit. Aziza throws shame out the door and creates space for authenticity to come alive.
