This boxed set by Ellie Atkinson is full of heartache, triumph and love. Handsome Widower’s Second Chance is a sweet love story that will both break your heart and then have you rejoicing. Tragedy strikes as Holly dies unexpectedly leaving the whole family to deal with it in their own way. Holly’s sister Alice is the peacemaker and wants to help everyone, especially Adam who she has had secret feelings for since she first met him. In the end happy ending do happen as we find out...God does love us and takes care of us...in every situation. So if you want a book that will give you unexpected happy endings, this is the book for you!
In An Uncivilized Romance there's an abusive husband and a mountain man to keep you interested. Jason married Sarah for her house and land after her mother died and became physically and mentally abusive. Finally, after finding out she is expecting and Jason wants to kill her and the baby she escapes his wrath. Mike lives in the mountains alone after his wife dies and shuts himself off from all civilization. So how do these two so different people find they need each other and work together to make them more equipped for a new life? I loved getting involved with the characters, encouraging them and wanting yell at them all at the same time. This is a book that will keep you reading long into the night to get to the end.
Saved By An Angel brings hope and love to the troubled and tender of heart. Jake Collins is a drifter who is either is drunk and cheating in cards or just plain drunk. He doesn’t believe he is worth anything to anybody including himself. Marie was the town ‘angel’ that helped any drifter that came to town. When Jake needed help after being kicked out of his cousin’s house getting beaten up while drunk and cheating at cards, he found Marie.
Together the two bond and help each other heal in ways that no one expected. Demons that laid deep within each of them. Compassion and patience can be wonderful tools in find out who you are.

The Handsome Widower’s Second Chance is a good story of sudden death, different ways of dealing with death, suspense, and new romance. The plot is well laid out and the characters are well drawn. I spent a lovely afternoon reading this book!
An Uncivilized Romance is a riveting tale of just how strong a woman can be in the face of her husband's extreme abuse. It is hard to read about the abuse, but this book is about so much more than the abuse. This story is about triumph despite the abuse. It is a well crafted romance about the good that exists despite the evil. These are great characters who are completely believable. The book can be read as a stand alone but I enjoyed catching up on the lives of some characters from the first book in the series.
Saved By An Angel is an interesting story. You have the lonely town angel meeting the hard core drunk. It is an interesting premise and story. The characters are vividly portrayed. A bit slow in places but very entertaining. I enjoyed it.
