Mammoths walked across ice bridges over parts of the ocean frozen by the cold climate. The beasts of that time were truly enormous, weird, and wonderful, and kids will love learning about them in this book, complete with beautiful illustrations and gatefolds!

Tohle je taky hrozně zajímavý! Navíc to bude mít všemožná rozkládátka a ilustrace jsou hrozně boží. Megafauna z Doby ledové, sympatický text, což u těch obrázkových knížek zas tak často nebývá, tohle překladatelský miminko mě bavilo moc :)

This book is full of AMAZING illustrations on every page and packed with information that is easy to read and fascinating to learn. Even the subheadings are a bit more humorous than you would normally expect from a non-fiction book and that adds to the enjoyment of reading it.

I like the fact it looks at animals from the ice-age because children these days can't exactly go and visit mammoths in a zoo due to them now being extinct therefore being able to access the world of these animals means children can find new areas of interest and even share their new facts with friends and family.

A great addition to any classroom/school library!

Beautiful, informative book. Some text was a bit hard to read as it was dark on dark, but overall my son and I really enjoyed reading this together. It’s hard to find books about the ice age but this was just what he wanted.
