This series makes me so happy. I love how Furudate shifts focus around to each member of Karasuno—not just the so-called "superstars"—and how this focus even lands on opposing teams.
Sometimes I'm torn between loving it when Karasuno wins, and feeling sorry for the other team. This is one of those times. I mean, come on. Getting knocked out of nationals after your first match? That's rough. But yay for Karasuno!
Favorite moments:
-Yamaguchi being the great pinch server that he is. -Getting a glimpse of how Kageyama views the court. -Hinata's clumsy-but-successful attempts at receiving the ball. -Underhand server! (He makes me feel better about the fact that I still serve that way. 😝)

I honestly feel every time we see another win from Karasuno, I cheer and whoop like this is a real match/time in real life. They may not be real in that way, but they are real in my heart and it gets me fired up every time seeing these guys move on to the next match!
Absolutely fantastic volume! Just a really good match that had a different high stakes due to the length of the rallies. If I had been a nail biter, I would have been biting my nails as gross as that is to say! LOL!
One of my favorite parts is Asahi commenting that Daichi doesn’t flinch over Noya telling him that was some good “butt saving.” Made me laugh because even before he said it, I thought the same thing! LOL!
Loved seeing those glimpses of Hinata showing what he learned as a ball boy. Loved seeing the team stand strong with Kageyama as he got adjusted. Loved seeing Himekawa experience being a “hero” even if he is on the opposing team.
And hands down, LOVED that cover of Suga and how it relates to the match. YES YES YES! So happy for him!!!
*Reread 10/2/2020* Lol I noticed the score fuck up again, but since I'm reading this before watching (and I know the end result) I wasn't as bothered. I completely forgot about this team tbh. There's nothing super memorable about them (sorry), BUT I loved that moment the third years got. Their old captains are so proud :')
*Original Review 10/12/2019* I feel like this one will be a lot more fun to watch. Also it kind of annoys me when they fuck up the scoring cause it confuses me. The score bounced up and down within the same set and that's happened in another volume before like what is happening. I can rave about their growth and my love for these boys again and again, but I just sound like a broken record at this point lol. Didn't care that much about the opposing team in this one, but I'm excited to see what comes next. I'm soooo ready for season 4.
I totally just finished the whole volume in one sitting haha xD I didn’t remember anything about this match but it was actually really fun! I very much enjoyed seeing former Karasuno captains fangirling over the third years and also the random two friends commenting the whole match. It’s a whole another atmosphere during the nationals, I can’t wait to read more!
In the beginning of their first match against Tsubakihara, Karasuno did some minor adjustments to get accustomed to the court and lighting to solidify their play. But once they get used to it, heck they were unstoppable!
My sincerest apologies for spamming, I didn't mean to read four volumes in a single day lmao. I'm so exciiiited for the national matches!!! Very fun to see how being on a much bigger court impacted the team and how they had to adjust.
Torneo Nacional ya empezó y está emocionante, tantas escuelas tantos jugadores y como Karasuno se enfrenta a esta nueva realidad que tanto Daichi, Azumanen y Suga añoraban.
