5 Smut Scale Stars

As many of you know, I have my regular scale for books...and my smut scale.

Meaning, I rate the two classes of books differently as they are just two completely different types of reads.

description

My point?

That THIS book - just because I rated it a 5 - is not going to be the same kind of read as some of my favorite regular scale 5-stars, i.e., Transcendence, All the Ugly and Wonderful Things, Nine Minutes, to name a few.

Because they just aren't the same thing in my mind.

And just like I don't think it would be fair to rate this:

description

The same way as this:

description

I don't rate smut/erotica the same way in my head as I do other types of books.

Both are different.
And BOTH have value in the their own way.

Thus, the smut scale.

And, holy gang bang, did this book rock it.

description

This ARC has been sitting on my kindle for-fucking-EVER.

And I think the reason for that is because, before this, I had only read one other book by this author.

And let's just say that didn't go too well...(ahem, aka DNFsville).

Needless to say, I wasn't in a hurry to read another one from her.

So why request this from Netgalley, you say?

Well, that's because one of my whore friends (that's an endearment and she knows it, so calm down GR police), Shelby, said it was sex on a stick and told me I should read it.

And being that I am the type of person who, if all my friends jumped off a cliff...

description

...I would videotape tape said idiocy and post that shit on Instagram, I decided I should maybe check it out.

And I'm glad I did, because I MUST read more of this abject FUCKERY.

Being that this was book three in this series, I had NO fucking clue what was going at first.

And I had no idea what this "Wicked Horse" "Silo" business was.

So let me educate you, my friends.

The Wicked Horse is a bar, apparently(?)

And Silo...

...is where everyone comes to fuck everyone else.

description

description

description

And Boy.

Do.

They.

Ever.

Seriously though, I think every character in this book has fucked almost half, if not all, of all the other characters.

description

It was like a buffet of sex acts and sexual partners.

But it was done in a way that I didn't feel like the characters were betraying any loved ones.

Regardless, I really enjoyed the "kinky fuckery" of this book and I even liked the story line.

Cat married for money - which she openly admits and is forced to deal with on an emotional level at one point- and was forced to perform sexual acts that she didn't necessarily want.

Rand was unknowingly a part of those sex acts, and this book is about how - now that her husband has kicked the bucket - Cat moves on and comes to figure herself and her situation out...and Rand helps her in this endeavor.

So I guess what I am saying in this long-winded as fuck review that - no one will actually read because this is an old book that has already been reviewed, and way better than this I might add - is that I really enjoyed this smutty book and I look forward to reading more from this author.

Oh Sawyer, you dirty girl. :-p This is the first book I read of this series and wicked is a perfect term for what goes on. Rand is absolutely delish and unapologetic in his sexuality. Cat is a woman who has been through a lot in the worst ways. Life has not been kind to her. Rand's white knight complex puts a very vulnerable Cat closer to a temptation neither can deny. I enjoyed how their relationship developed because although they'd been physical before under different circumstances, the feelings didn't happen until later. Cat is a very complex person and I love Rand's way of helping her figure out how to move forward. I wish Cat stood up for herself more but the story was still very enjoyable. Let me tell you people, the sex scenes were off the chain! There's even a little M/M action. Safety gang: There is sharing. OM. Multiple partners at a time. Sexual and emotional abuse (not from our H to h).

Catherine is used to her life being shitty so when her husband dies and leaves her nothing, leading her to live in her car, she isn't surprised. Then Rand shows up and offers her a place to stay and a helping hand to get back on her feet, which is something she definitely wasn't expecting. Rand doesn't know much about Cat, other then what he saw of her at The Silo, the secret sex club he works out, but he does know that he needs to help her. And if letting her stay at his place means he gets some hot nightly sex every night, well that's just a bonus.

I was a little nervous going into this book because I wasn't sure how I would feel about Catherine's character. I didn't know much about her before reading her book but I did know that she was married for money, and that's what had me so hesitant. However, this is a Sawyer Bennett book and it's almost impossible for me to now like whatever story she brings up, so I had nothing to fear. Catherine's situation made a lot of sense once I learned everything about her past, and I actually ended up loving her more for what she did. Her character was full of strength and determination, which drew me towards liking her.

Rand wasn't an overly complicated character, and I liked the simplicity of him. He had a past which he moved on from to pursue other things, and he had a protective side that I found sexy as hell. The way he took on Catherine and her problems without a complaint was amazing of him. His sexy side is what made me fall in love with him, I just loved how open he was and that there was no judgment for the things Catherine liked. Together they were one sexy ass couple.

The smexiness level of this one was both good and bad. When we got the sex scenes between Rand and Catherine they were pantie melting worthy and will leave you panting. But also, I felt like there wasn't enough of those scenes throughout the book. I think I was a little too excited for those scenes, so then when there wasn't as many as I expected I got a little disappointed. But don't think that this book didn't have some very sexy moments, because trust me, it did!

Overall, this was a highly enjoyable book that I can't wait for everyone to read. Rand and Catherine were both amazing characters that will draw you into the book and captivate you with their story. The epilogue has me dying for Logan's book so I will, not to patiently, be waiting for that.

~ BONUS SCENE ~ 10/06/16

Now available exclusively at iBooks, an all new bonus chapter in Wicked Need, featuring the one and only Bridger, get a glimpse into the things he's willing to do to protect his own.

*****5 I wasn’t expecting that *****

Wicked Need is the third book in The Wicked Horse series. I wasn’t sure what expect with this one being Catherine Vaughn's story if you have read the previous books you know that Catherine likes to play A LOT at The Silo with multiple partners with her billionaire elderly wheelchair bound husband watching everything.

We found out in the epilogue in Wicked Lust that now her husband is dead Catherine has been left homeless and penniless and that Rand found her sleeping in her car at The Wicked Horse so he invites her to stay with him at his place.

Spending time with Rand she opens up and tells him EVERYTHING we get to know the real Cat Lyons and discover what a nightmare her marriage was and the HELL Samuel put her through for his own perverse pleasure the things he made her do. She let this happen to herself so she could keep a roof over her head, food in her stomach and the money in her account as she has been homeless and hungry before and does not want to go back there.

Rand has played with Catherine in the past at The Silo but when he gets to know the real Cat and the hell she has been through he is determined to take care of her with the help of Bridger they investigate the Will, did Samuel really make a new one leaving nothing to his wife???

Cat and Rand together are panty melting HOT and when they play with Logan OMG even Cat BLUSHES, SB does it AGAIN that scene was SCORCHING. I loved these two together they have plenty of sex and they actually talk about their feelings no silly misunderstandings and what Rand does for Cat to complete her life was so wonderful and moving.

I loved getting to know Rand Bishop better outside of The Silo discovering about his past, how loyal he is to his friends and what he will do to protect Cat. I loved getting more Bridger how everyone turns to him for advise or assistance he is the Oracle CANNOT WAIT FOR HIS STORY.

I found this very emotional I felt so much for Cat and everything she survived the phrase “Don’t judge a book by it cover” comes to mind as with the snippets about her in The Silo in previous stories I though she was a slut so I need to say this I WAS WRONG AND SORRY CAT. I found this different as The Silo doesn't feature much but we still have the heat and the suspense had me gripped.

Catherine is goin through a really shitty time he hubby as died an she as been left with nothin she was told to left the house with just her belongs she was just so lucky that Rand found her in her car where she was goin sleep but Rand bein the most caring guy ever he would have her stayin in her car Cathrine was known around The Silo an al the men there protected the women there so Rand was her White Knight an saved her

Rand is a really good guy he would help anymore an in some way he helps people out to much even people who have been arseholes to him but Catherine was different Ye she was beautiful sexy an awesome at sexy time but there was something dragging him to her but he didn't want to have sex with her cause she would thing that he was using her an he didn't want at even if she made him hard al the time but Catherine had nothin no money an she didn't want charity an after the way she as been treated an brought up give a blow job or having sex to pay for something is nothing to her but Rand wasn't having it he would made her see it wasn't al about sex an that people could luv her an she could trust them

Once these 2 got started having sex holy god they couldn't stop an al it took was Catherine turning up at The Silo an ask him to go to one of the rooms with an that was it he wasn't sharing her with anyone no one would get to c her anymore she was his an this did scare the shit out of him an Catherine but like I said once they had sexy time once that was it she sure knew what she was doin an he luvd what she did to him an she was the same they brought out the best in each other

There was a lot of shit that Catherine as dealt with an was still dealin with an once she poured her heart out to Rand this just made him even more protective of her she needed someone to care for her an not use her an with his feeling getting stronger for her everyday he knew that she was rite for him but Rand hadn't had a relationship in ages an his last one wasn't that great but he had to give this a chance cause he hadn't felt this way in ever

Catherine Lyons Vaughn is a 24 yr. old woman living in Jackson, Wyoming, & is destitute. After her controlling elderly husband passes away, Cat is left with $50 to her name. He left everything to his children after promising he'd take care of her. She is kicked out of her home, & is with nowhere to go, so she spends most of her time at The Silo indulging in fantasies.

Rand Bishop is a 28 yr. old guy from Vermont who is a former Olympic medalist & competitive skier. He manages a tattoo shop for a buddy of his during the day, & at night he works as a fantasy maker at the sex club The Silo, where every dirty fantasy he's ever imagined comes to life. One evening while leaving the Silo Rand notices Catherine sleeping in her car. When he finds out her situation he insists she stay with him until she can figure things out. He considers her a friend & wants her to be safe. He just wants to help her. This shocks Catherine since she's never had anyone actually care about her well being before.

 photo 365585f9-0374-4a73-8cb5-3d70b7c1626a_zpsy6bqvflk.jpg

Rand treats Cat with respect & tries to be a gentleman, but they both are extremely attracted to each other & are very familiar with the others body from their time together at The Silo. Soon they can't fight how bad they want each other & give in to their craving for one another. Rand becomes very protective of Cat & wants her to realize her own potential. Suddenly Cat has people around her she can count on & she begins to see herself through their eyes & believe in herself. She's never had anyone care or worry about her like Rand does & she starts to see a possible future for herself. Rand tries to convince her the past doesn't define her, & that she's a survivor. He values her & wants more with her. Cat just wants to be wanted & feels like her life is just beginning as she's falling hard for Rand. I really enjoyed this book & am looking forward to Logan's book & Bridger's! :D

Wicked Need is the third book in the Wicked Horse series, it can be read as a standalone as all the books feature different characters. I have actually been reading this series from the very beginning, because I have absolutely fallen in love with Sawyer’s stories. This is definitely her hottest series I have read and with every book I am more blown away with the level of steam.

This story features Cat and Rand. Rand works part-time at the Wicked Horse and Cat is one of their customers, she is also recently widowed. Cat was a trophy wife for years to her elderly husband, we quickly learn that she was mentally and physically abused during her marriage. She is also left penniless when he dies. Cat doesn’t hide the fact that she married for money and was so desperate to escape her past.

Rand is this super nice guy and when he notices her sleeping in her car he offers to let her stay with him. He really is just trying to do the right thing, but that’s Rand’s MO - always the white knight. This leads Cat to question his feelings and if she even deserves a guy like him. However, there is an undeniable chemistry and attraction between them which causes things to progress regardless of her fears.

I really liked how like this series there is this insane steam and sexiness, but I also so much emotion. Cat is seriously damaged and has a lot of things to overcome and I loved seeing her vulnerability. She isn’t perfect, but she also is honest about who she is. It is very easy to feel for Cat and Rand and want more for them.

This continues to be a strong series and I am really looking forward more!

My review @ Coffee, Cookies & Books

4.5 Wicked Stars

This installment of the Wicked Horse series makes me all kinds of happy. Leave it to Sawyer Bennett to drag me out of a MAJOR book hangover. As always there is low angst and a sweet love story with endearing characters.

She gives us Rand who has been introduced in the previous books as part of a fantasy. He is loyal to the bone, a nurturer and inherently nice while intensely sensual and dirty.

Cat, our heroine, is sweet and strong with a backbone. We have met her as well as the wife of a rich guy who let her play in The Silo seemingly doing it on her own free will. Far from it. When we meet her she is without a roof over her head and Rand, being the white knight in shiny armor that he has always been, takes her in and offers her to stay until she can get back on her own two feet. As the story develops we learn more about Cat and why she ended up being married to an old guy who got his rocks off while she was being gang-banged by strangers. Said old man has passed away and cut her out of his will and that's how she ends up sleeping in her car when Rand finds her.

Cat thinks she's used goods, broken. Life has dealt her a bad hand and when she married the old f*ck she thought she had a chance at a good life. Samuel, her late husband, however shared her with his family, friends and business partners in exchange for favors. The kindness Rand shows her is alien to her but welcome. Rand doesn't want to accept sex for his kindness, he just wants to help Cat. One night at The Silo all bets are off though and they give in to their explosive chemistry which slowly morphs into something more.

Cat is a lovely, likable heroine who was living a nightmare and made the best out of it. She is a survivor and so worthy of the feelings Rand offers her. Rand is a total sweetheart, he gets Cat, understands why she had to do what she did.

Loved the side characters again just as much - Bridger the enigmatic and wise owner of The Silo. I'm so looking forward to his story. Love how he is there being all mysterious but doesn't steal the main characters' thunder. Callie, who we met in the first book of the series, kicks major butt when she knocks some sense into Cat. Kevin, the old guy's oldest son, who is such a slimy douchebag you only can hate him. Logan - holy crap...that scene with Cat and Rand - get a pair of fresh panties ready.

This was another winner by Sawyer Bennett and I can't wait to see what else she has in store for us!

Wicked Need is the third book in the Wicked Horse series and Sawyer Bennett manages to give us once again a different story, one I didn't see coming.

Even if this book can be read as a stand-alone, I already knew both Rand and Cat from Wicked Lust.
Rand is what you can call a Fantasy Maker at The Silo (sex club) and Cat was somehow a client there.
To summarize how they knew each other, I'll say that Cat was a the Silo because her husband was too old to satisfy her and because he got off on seeing her with other men. And yes Rand was one of them.

When Rand sees Cat's car in the parking lot, and when he learns that Cat is homeless because her dead husband cut her out of the will, his caring self offers her a place to stay.
Of course, you can guess that things become quickly something because each other have a huge sexual appetite and they are very much attracted to each other.

This book took me by surprise because after two books I was used to evolve around the Silo and I expected things to be more heated. Don't get me wrong, they are scenes scorching hot! Sawyer Bennett goes way beyond what she usually writes and she does it quite good. Without telling you two much, there's a MMF scene - but more focus on the MM part - that was fantastic! It was something I was looking forward too from one of my fav' authors.
But the whole story is very much more focus on Rand and Cat. While this is not a bad thing, it let me with a taste of not enough.

In my opinion, the book could have been a little longer. There was a lot happening and all takes places in such a short time, it was hard for me to really connect with how they both fall in love.
Rand was such a sweetheart. He wants to help Cat getting a life back and once feelings starts to arise he also wants to be a part of his future.

I had some problems with Cat. Her life was not easy, the thing she had to do where awful but in the back of my mind I couldn't stop thinking that she chooses to stay with her husband. The worse was that she admits it too. So then why the self pity afterwards?

What I enjoyed the most is why I like reading book in series such as this one. You always get to see the previous couples. Sloane and Callie were just like I remember them. Too bad Cain wasn't there.

The epilogue left me with a big question mark. The next book will be able Logan and I'm not sure how to take what his story is going to be. I'm sure Sawyer Bennett has something specific in her sleeve but I'm keeping my judgment until I know more... because really you should all know by now that the one I really WANT is Bridger!

3.5 ★

This is the 3rd book in the series, Rand and Cat’s story.

Rand and Cat have been in the periphery in the first 2 books. Rand is one of the Fantasy Makers in The Silo. Cat was the woman who everyone knew in a biblical sense when she was brought in by her then alive husband to live out his fantasy.

Cat may be my fave h in the series so far. Despite what she's gone thru, there's gumption there. And she owned her sexuality without judgment, which is like almost a given, I suppose. Rand, just like the rest of the men of The Silo was just perfect. They do right by their women. Need I say more?

Cat's past was not easy to swallow but Rand understood all that. It may have felt that things moved really fast between them but keep in mind that that there was enough history there even before they became a couple thanks to The Silo. And seeing these involved the men of The Silo, it goes without saying that the heat is thru the roof!!! Sawyer, you dirty woman, you! I dug it! *g*

While I have no real complaints about this one, it did feel like everything just went down too smoothly, even including whatever conflict they had. Cat thought the right thought, did the right thing, and said the right words. And so did Rand. Could there be such a thing as too right? Or I wonder if it's my impatience for Bridger's story affecting it. Not to steal away Rand's thunder, but Bridger, I wanna hear his story!!! (Did you hear that, Sawyer?!?:p)

Logan's story is up next. He's just as "durh-tay" as Rand *winks* so it'll be interesting to see what floats his woman's boat out of his many skillz... teehee...

“I’m lost too. But I’m glad you’re right here beside me now.”

“If Rand can be that stubbornly set on seeing me as a good person, why can’t I?”

- Who is the Hero? Rand Bishop, Age: 28, Occupation: fantasy maker at the Silo and also works at a tattoo shop
~ Rand has a bit of a white-knight syndrome. He likes to swoop in and rescue the damsel in distress. Didn’t work out very well for him last time, but he’s got a caring and giving heart that sometimes overrules his better judgement.
Rand is also an amazing skier and has a gold and 2 silver medals from the Vancouver Olympics as proof of his downhill accomplishments. Thanks to sponsorships that resulted from his successful skiing career, Rand has a very sizable bank account.

- Who is the Heroine? Catherine (Cat) Lyons, Age: 24, Occupation: nothing specific
~ Cat did not have an easy life growing up and was out of the house by age seventeen and living wherever she could and doing whatever she needed to survive. When she was 21c she ended up marrying a very old, wealthy man and thought she would just need to fake some “wifely duties” in order to secure a stable home life. Turns out he was a sick and twisted old sleaze who got off on watching other men sexually debase her. Thankfully he kicked the bucket after three years of marriage, but Cat has some emotional healing to do after living under his rule for a few years.

Plot overview:
~ After the death of her husband, Cat ends up without a home or any money. Things aren’t looking so good for her, but thankfully Rand comes along and rescues Cat. He offers her a place to stay and a ton of support as she fights to regain what she’s lost (stability and self respect).
~ “He’s been my one true champion from that day he pulled me out of my car and brought me to his apartment. He’s spent countless energy on validating and affirming me. He’s never judged me once for my choices, and despite knowing the worst about me, he still desires me on both a physical and emotional level.”

** The following are my thoughts about this book: **

* * I will admit that after reading the previous book I wasn’t very excited that Cat was the heroine of this book. She just didn’t impress me (she really only had one short scene, but I formed a negative opinion of her). Shame on me for forming an opinion before I had all the facts. Cat turned out to be one of my favorite heroines. Complex, with much growth through the story.

* * By book three, everyone who knows each other has had a very explicit sexual encounter with someone’s partner. So there has been a lot of sharing of bodies. What should have been awkward moments between Callie, Sloane and Cat (heroines from the first three books) turned out of be the beginnings of solid friendships. I was really thankful there was no girl jealousy to be found. They realized the sharing was not done out of betrayal, but rather putting someone else’s needs first and making sure pleasure was achieved. The girls understood the basis of the various encounters and embraced each other’s kinky choices.

* * Cat was a strong and a weak character. She was so complex and I loved the way the author created her.
~ “Oddly enough, The Silo helped me survive the sick perversion Samuel was intent on forcing me to endure. It was the lesser of two evils, and so I made sure I put on quite the show whenever my husband brought me here so he could watch me get fucked and debased because that made him happy. He watched with clouded eyes from his wheelchair, his mouth twisted into a feral grin, and I made sure he believed I loved every bit of it, because it was one of the few ways I could assert my independence from him. It was also how I could hurt him, if even only a tiny bit, because he’d much rather believe I hated it.”

* * I often roll my eyes with the “I’m not worthy, so I have to let him go” trope. It really frustrates me. But, I will say that I bought into it with Cat. Given her choices, I could see where she would feel tainted and not “good enough” for someone like Rand.
~ “I was perfectly willing to let myself be defiled and humiliated so I could keep the fancy house, Mercedes, and designer clothing. I whored myself out for a cushy life and that right there tells me all I need to know about my true character.”
~ “I’m not the type of woman anyone respects. I sold out. Sold my own fucking self-respect and worth for the almighty dollar. I let myself be treated abominably because I didn’t have the fortitude to demand better for myself.”

* * the MMF scene …..🔥🔥🔥

* * I really liked both Rand and Cat. They were genuine, honest with each other and easy to root for. Rand’s unwavering support definitely put him on my book boyfriend list.
~ “I’m falling in love with you and I’m sorry if that makes you uncomfortable, but you need to know for a woman who doesn’t think she amounts to much, you’re pretty much amounting to my everything.”

* * So glad Cat found a loving family. Well deserved and it melted my heart.

* * so far, this is my favorite of the series. I thought it had less sex and more of a meaty story. Don’t misunderstand…..it’s still got a lot of sex, it’s just balanced better with the plot.

**Overview:**
- Content Warning: sexual abuse (although it is done with consent. Off page, but Cat does describe how it made her feel), a physical attack by a stranger
- Setting: Jackson, Wyoming
- Do you need to read previous books in series?: Yes. The previous books provide backstory to the Silo and the various characters in this book. I don’t think you would get as much out of it if you were not already invested in the characters
- POV: Dual POV
- Tropes: erotic
- h virgin? No
- First time they kiss: 14%
- First time they sleep together: 15%
- Safe sex? No. they were overcome by passion and forgot the condom. They have the “safe / clean” discussion after
- First time they say I Love You Rand says it at 82%. Cat says it at 98%
- steamy? Yes. Several descriptive bedroom scenes
- Chemistry? I thought they had great chemistry both in the bedroom and out of it
- OW/OM drama? a bit
- H/h cheat? Technically No. However there is an MMF scene that is requested by Cat
- Time apart? No
- Did I skip pages? No
- Big secrets? No
- Did I cry? No
- Did I laugh? No
- Did I swoon🥰? Yes!! Rand is very swoony in so many ways, but the dad thing at the end of the book just put him over the top. 😍🥰
- Cliffhanger? No
- HEA? HFN. I will say the characters from the other books continue to pop up so you can clearly see everyone is getting their HEA, even though each books seems to end with a HFN
- Epilogue? the epilogue sets up the next book for Logan
- Recommend? Yes

Quotes:
“How can I chase away your demons if I don’t know what they all are?”

“Telling him my secrets and shames last night was freeing. The fact that he listened without judgment speaks volumes.”

“We all make choices in our life that we are held accountable for later. I can’t see that the choice you made to stay does anything more than label you a survivor.”

“If you trust Rand, then you must believe what he says. If you believe what he says, then your past doesn’t have shit to do with your future with him.”

“It’s hard to comprehend what it does to the human spirit… the belief that someone doesn’t want you.”

We all remember Rand from the previous book - he's 'working' as a fantasy maker for Woolfe & Bridger's sex-club THE SILO.
He's also working at a tattoo shop as his main job.
He used to be an olympic-gold-medal-winning skier, but that life died with his knee a few years back. And now he's happy with having lots of kinky sex and running that tattoo shop.

One night he finds Cat sleeping in her car outside the sex club - in which she just had some very naked fun....
Turns out her very old and dead hubby didn't leave her anything when he died - she doesn't have anywhere to go. Rand is known for saving everyone who needs saving, so he takes her home with him - into his extremely small apartment.

There's some instant attraction between those two - they did have sex many times at the club - but once they get to talking about their lives and problems - the attraction only grows....

But both are not really in the market for something serious....

Rand's job at a sex club is probably not something a relation-ship can survive.
But sometimes something or someone might come along that might be worth it to change your life...

And Cat - she thinks she doesn't deserve someone as good as Rand - she made so many horrible things in her life - Rand is way too good for her. Also, Cat's step-son will probably make problems for her - as well as a very clingy ex of Rands.

WHAT WiLL HAPPEN TO RAND & CAT????
WiLL THE TWO OF THEM GET THEiR HEA?
WiLL EVERBODY SURViVE???

I'm not telling you that of course.....

I really enjoyed Rand's book.

I was already looking forward to hearing his story while reading the last book.
And I really loved Rand & Cat - and Logan and Bridger and Woolfe too of course.

What I didn't love - right from the verrry beginning of the book - and I know that it's just a personal problem of mine... and I don't even know how to describe it - I don't know the correct grammatical term for it... the AS things. Normally you only use AS as LIKE. Sometimes authors use it as it is used here - but Sawyer uses it a million times and I JUST HATE IT!!! I think it's what english kids learn to do in school, but it's just not used much and when it is used I just hate it.

Examples:

... must have sufficed for her, AS she hasn't attempted to reach out to me.
... was done at the East Coast, AS I'm a native Vermonter.

I don't know why I hate it that much - it just sounds way too formal and idiotic in a contemporary romance. You probably don't even know what I mean - I'm bad at explaining things ☺ Sorry. #EndOfASRant ☺

OK - another little rant coming ☺

Rand - he's all tattooed - I don't personally like that - but in books I'm totally ok with the hot tattoo guy - BUT Rand also has A NOSE PIERCING! EWWWW - that is sooo unsexy and unmanly and 90s and ewwww - Guys with nose-rings are seriously unattractive and ewww. Nope! Sorry. (Same with baseball caps by the way!)
#ReallyRantEndNow

But I really loved Rand's story!
It was soooo incredibly erotic (we're having a verrry hot m/m/f ménage thing - phew!!!) and adorable and sad and even suspensy .... It really had everything a great erotic romance needs!

WICKED NEED - was a wickedly beautiful erotic Romance! Rand & Cat were just too adorable - I want my own Rand now, please! (sans the nose-piercing of course!)☺

...and nor hurry June and September - I NEED Logan's & Bridger's stories NOW!!!!!

In the third book in The Wicked Horse series, Sawyer Bennett gives us the story of Rand and Cat. If you recall, Rand was the bartender and fantasy maker that was introduced in a few group scenes in the prior books and Cat is the woman who is pretty much game for anything when it came to playing at the Silo... or so we thought.

When Cat’s husband dies and leaves her with nothing, Rand is quick to come to the rescue. Being the white knight is not new to Rand, but this feeling of desire he’s feeling towards Cat is something that he’s looking forward to exploring. How much can he really want a woman he’s already had? Why can’t he seem to really quench his thirst for her?

For Cat, she was just looking for a way to find a better life for herself. She thought her late husband was the answer, until he wasn’t. For years Cat lived a life that was worse than what she had escaped and now realizing how much she missed out on, is feeling guilty and unworthy because she stayed. Rand is everything in a man she could want, but is everything she feels she doesn’t deserve to have. Lucky for her, Rand is certain enough for both of them.

I just need to say this before I move to the sweetness that was this romance. HOLY FUCKING SHIT. Logan. Cat. Rand. Dies. I am loving this dirty side to Ms. Bennett. The dynamic between Rand and Logan was off the charts hot. I thought the glimpse we saw with these two in the last book was hot... this topped that.

Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way and spent a few moments fanning myself.... I really loved that Rand was this fantastically sweet guy. I loved that he got a bit dominant, but that deep down he was just a decent, caring guy. Cat needed a man like Rand in her life. A man that was willing to fight for her and by her side.

Wicked Need was an exceptionally hot read, but it really packed a punch in the emotional department. It balanced perfectly and although there is a certain mysterious character in this series that is bound to steal the show, Rand gave as good as he got – and I think Wicked Need tops my list for favorite book in this series (so far).

4.5 Rand Perfection Stars
* * * * 1/2 Spoiler Free-Limited Time, ONLY 99 CENTS!!!
Sawyer Bennett writes so many differently-themed books. She seems to be able to pivot easily from one to another in a blink of an eye. It could be me projecting...sometimes it seems there may be a series that may feel a little more near and dear to parts of Ms. Bennett than others...Whatever the case... With this specific series...I sense a naughty joy in her work... taking a themed idea of a sex club with its tight group of owners, workers, customers and making them as human and relatable as possible.

With this third entry to The Wicked Horse series, we have the story of Rand and Cat. If you had been reading the series, you already met both of these characters. Rand is a friend of the owners of The Wicked Horse saloon and its sex club, The Silo. He works part-time at The Silo as a "Fantasy Maker", meaning he provides sexual experiences for the members... all consensual and enjoys the perks of having the unlimited pool of partners to enjoy. Catherine was introduced to us as a woman who came with her much older husband. She would be involved in numerous scenes with numerous partners doing whatever while the elderly husband actively watched...her participation seemingly for his pleasure and hers.

This story opens with Rand closing up the Wicked Horse and walking to his truck in the parking lot. As he is about to drive out, he sees Catherine's car parked in a corner near The Silo. This is curious because she left the club earlier and unless she went with someone from the club... her car shouldn't be there. Rand has been thinking about Catherine... her husband died and she has been coming to the club and acting not herself... manic, intense. He sees movement in the car, decides to go and check it out. There he finds Catherine in it with the seat reclined all the way down...Rand being a straight talker asks her outright if she was planning to sleep there in the parking lot...

Catherine is a woman lost...What everyone saw and thought was only a front, an illusion. Her wealthy owner of Las Vegas Hotels husband was not the doting man he presented. He was a sadistic monster who lured a woman who was vulnerable into believing he was offering a much better life than she was experiencing when she meet him. Catherine was a product of mother who said her father didn't care and abandon them. She was taught the only thing she was good for was the government money she provided the mom. Going to bed hungry was a regular occurrence. Getting a job at 15 to be able to fill her own belly was a lesson learned too early...quitting school at 17 and then stripping seemed like the only way to survive and be away from her parasite mom.

When this man started coming to the club and pursuing her, she didn't know what to think. He gave her presents, took her to all the fancy Las Vegas eateries, and doted on her, never making a move to indicate he was anything but sweet, barely touching her. He proposed; Catherine thought it would be a way out of the cycle of crappy apartments, stripping and living with the fear of where the next dollar would come.

She sincerely was prepared to be the wife she thought he wanted...there by his side for charity events, take care of him... and do the necessary sexual encounters that a marriage entailed. He promised he would take care of her and put it in writing.

Little did she know, she was the lured into the ugliest of webs...

When Rand asks Catherine why she is in her car... she has a huge house and everything a rich widow should have, the truth comes out. The husband left her with just her clothes and jewelry per the oldest son Kevin. He had a lawyer throw her out and she had only $50 to her name. Rand is taken back and tells her to come to his place and she can stay there ... get herself together and figure things out.

At first, Catherine thinks to offer sexual favors as a way of payment... Rand shakes his head... no...just come and rest... this is an act of friendship.

That is not to say Rand doesn't want to take Catherine in every way possible. He has been having her image in his head for a while now...while doing others. She is the woman who is playing on a nonstop loop in his head. But Rand knows she is not in a good place and is one of the good guys...In fact... Being one of the good guys, looking to be the "White Knight" has been a point of pain for him in the past. Even his friends tease him of having a hero complex.

But Rand instinctively knows in his gut the reasons why he is acting the way he is He has a deeper calling to this woman. When Catherine tells him to call her Cat... she wants nothing to do with her past calling of "Catherine"... we see this woman is on a path of reclaiming herself.

This story has all of the sexy, hot sensual times expected with a sex club as its center....but what elevates this series is its humanity... These characters are not just there to fuck, suck and switch... and repeat. These characters are drawn in such a way, we are sympathetic to their personal plights.

Also not everyone is the typical sorry story so that is why they are there in this sex club...nope, Rand is an Olympic Gold Metal Skier...and landed in Jackson because of the weather, friends and just trying to figure out what is next in his life after competing. He comes from a loving family who supported his talent, encouraged him, and allowed him to pursue his dream of elite skiing from a young age. In other words...He is a product of a loving family, a healthy relationship with them and he understands what parental love feels like. He is well-rounded and basically a cool guy.

This story follows the journey Cat needs to go through to discover who she is, what is important to her and learn to fight for her own belief in herself. The hardest lesson she will have to tackle is forgiveness for herself.

The way Bennett takes us through all of it is masterful. We are there to watch Rand fall hard for Cat and understand exactly what this woman needs every step of the way. What is refreshing is his smarts in understanding the control she needs and setting his ego aside numerous times. Cat also is so strong in taking back her independence; she stands up to forces which others with the same experiences would roll over...taking an easy route. We are supportive of her through it all.

We also get interactions from all the other players in this series...and each time is a plus. I do not have to go into all the sensual scenes...but I will say... they are something to experience...as that is also Bennett's talent...

More of this series is coming and I can honestly say... Bennett has created a naughty outlet for all the kinky fun she wishes to have...and she is having a lot of fun...with huge, massive doses of heart.

Our next installment will be Logan... and people, this ought to be outstanding.

Welcome to The Silo – a place filled with . . .

“Kinky fuckery.”

And I was all . . .

Palm Springs commercial photography

The Silo is a sex club where Anna Nicole Smith Catherine used to be forced to go . . . . . ummmmmm perform in order for her geriatric husband to get his rocks off while he watched her bang other dudes – including former Olympic medalist Rand. Rand hung up his skis and opted for the simple life, managing a local tattoo shop by day and working as a “fantasy maker” by night. When Rand discovers Catherine sleeping in her car at The Silo after her husband dies, he offers her a place to stay and to help figure out what the hell is actually going on with the supposed new will that cut Catherine out completely.

Okay, both my hands were occupied I made a whopping three highlights on my Kindle while reading this and it was all about the plot points I just mentioned so you’ll have to bear with me as I babble.

Plenty of grouchy bastards on GR gripe about “scrapbooks” being made with regard to casting characters in these books but those people seriously can go f*&^ a duck. For me, a porno scientific journal such as this doesn’t work unless I either want to picture myself as the lead or my brain conjures up someone else for the starring roles. Wicked Need delivered immediately in that department. As soon as Catherine was spotted putting on a . . . . uhhhhhh toy demonstration my brain said . . .

Palm Springs commercial photography

And Rand? I realize authors more than likely assume that this fella will be chosen by the vaginas minds of many when a bearded blonde is described . . .

But (1) I’m the only woman in America who doesn’t find Charlie Hunnam attractive and (2) my friend Baba called dibs like umpteen years ago and I’m all about ovaries before brovaries. I also am delighted any time my brain can cast my dream blonde as the lead . . .

Palm Springs commercial photography

Not only is he adorable, but I have a feeling he’d be pretty awesome in the sack too. Just think of what he could do with his magic hands off the ballfield . . .

Palm Springs commercial photography

So let’s talk about sex baby let’s talk about Rand and me. Here’s where y’all realize it’s a full moon or start looking out your window for a swarm of locusts or something because I thought there wasn’t enough of it. I mean this book was about a SEX CLUB for Jeebus’ sake. I was totally ready for . . .

Palm Springs commercial photography

Instead the instalurv kicked in a bit and the supah hot stuff (*cough threesome cough*) was done in fade-to-black style. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The good news is the scenes that were described in detail had me like . . .

She's been telling me about Sawyer Bennett for quite awhile, but for whatever reason that's the one author the porny librarian only has in audio format (and I'm scurrrrrred I'd crash the car if I tried to drive to work and masturbate listen to a book like this simultaneously).

Yummy Rand ex-Olympic skier and Fantasy maker hooks up with Cat. Cat has had a hard life plus her dead husband was a real jerk (his older son was just as bad). She's now homeless and Rand, the white-knight, steps in to help. He is gives a place to stay and the courage to stand. The two are just as hot together as the previous couples (who we get to see again). There is a M/M/F scene, so be warned. I really wish Bridger's book was next, but Logan's will be pretty amazing.

I love the Wicked Horse series!! I was so excited to dive into Rand Bishop’s story…. we saw a bit of him in Wicked Lust (Cain’s story), ok a lot of him in one scene in Wicked Lust lol and I was so excited to learn more about Rand.
As with the prior books in the series, the prologue is the epilogue of the prior books, so it is a great “refresher.”
Wicked Need pairs Rand with Catherine Lyons Vaughn, yes Catherine was seen in prior books, and watched, watched as her now dead husband made her play at The Wicked Horse. Because of this element I would suggest reading this book as a book 3. I think it allows a deeper understanding of Catherine and as to why Rand doesn’t care about her background.
Yes, the use of kinky f*ckery is explained and it made me smile.
When Rand stumbles upon Catherine, yes he knew her before…. but when he discovers her new circumstances, emotions start to whirl for him.
Rand and Catherine or Cat as she makes it clear she prefers to be called, build an easy friendship one without judgement of the past; one that makes you feel them connecting deeper and deeper.
I adored Rand and his desire to help Cat “right” her life, and how he wanted her to find her own way, offered her support but not answers. Yes, the book is hot, it is the Wicked Horse series but for most of this one, the hot is not at the club it is home, still hot but always layered with emotion.
I freaking love the use of Logan in this one, yes Ms. Bennett pushed the envelope yet again, I loved this scene, it was hot, well written and truly fit for this couple, not giving it away, read the book!
Yes, Bridger makes an appearance in this one, yes he is still very observant, yes I want this story now!
Speaking of not providing answers; when Cat pulls away, Rand’s response is so perfect, as I said he before he knows she needs to find her own way.
There is great additional element; what Rand brings back to Cat was so epic!
Rand’s deep desire to help Cat move forward touched my soul! Nope not telling read the book - yes it is a secret from her past, not her secret, someone else’s but it touched her life deeply and so affected her life, yes I know that this is vague...Read the book!
P.S. Ms. Bennett speaking of pushing horizons, I hope you might branch out a bit as I think a male male romance would play perfectly in this series

The Wicked Horse series is truly sexy and wicked in every sense of the word but there's also a story to it. I've enjoyed the two previous in the series. I don't know what it was about this story but I had a difficult time connecting with the two main characters. That's doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the story cause believe me I did.

I enjoyed Rand and Cat and found their background story somewhat interesting. What I appreciate about this series are the other characters from the two previous books. They made appearances as well and their friendship really made not just this story but the others too shine.

Cat had taken some serious crap from her marriage to an old scumbag. How she pulled herself through and changed her views on herself was all thanks to Rand, who truly was a damn sweet guy with a heart of gold. Their sexual chemistry was hot and there were so many sexy and certainly also kinky as hell scenes. Did I mention a threesome...These characters were not picky when it comes to sex and pleasure.
This was a fun and enjoyable read but my mind was so focused on Bridger's story. It has been since the first book. His story is really what makes me read this series. So now I'm just waiting patiently for his story to be told.

Each book in this series keeps getting better and better!! Another great read by Sawyer Bennett.

Rand and Cat’s previous interactions were not what one would call traditional. They did meet at The Silo, a kinky sex club, after all. Despite that, this story, almost from the first paragraph, took me in a completely different direction from where I thought we were going.

Cat had been left in a bad way after her late husband leaves her with nothing but the clothes on her back. Rand immediately took on the role of protective hero and I loved it! I bonded with him as quickly as Cat did. He was so sweet and real and uncomplicated, not to mention sexy as hell. His chemistry with Cat was off the charts hot. Even more, his patience towards Cat while she struggled to find herself and build up her self-worth was a treat to read.

As an aside, can I just say that Logan, though a secondary character in the book, just about made me self-combust? CANNOT wait for his book.

This review is kinda rambly and full of sex talk and gifs. (Like my normal reviews)
You are warned.

Catherine Lyons Vaughn admits she married for money. She grew up poor with an absentee mother who just used her as a tax write-off and for extra food stamps. She started growing up and realized that blow jobs would get you enough money to eat. Then she meets an old guy named Samuel, he seemed to just want to pamper her. He didn't even want sex. So Cat marries him.
Turns out old Samuel is all kinda wacked out.
He liked to take Cat to Wyoming to a club called "The Silo"..and watch.
Palm Springs commercial photography
It's a sex club and all kinds of kinky, nasty, sexy stuff goes on inside this place. It's a no-holds-barred type of club and anything goes as long as it's consensual. Some of the things I've done in this club would make the devil blush.

Samuel passes away and Cat ends up back at The Silo because she needs some closure on her time there. She was made to service a whole lot of men for her husband's pleasure and she admits that her time at the Silo wasn't all bad.
Palm Springs commercial photography

Rand goes to the Silo several times a week, he even works part time there..he delivers fantasies.
Palm Springs commercial photography

He finds Cat in her car one night upon leaving the club and finds out that her dead old husband's son has kicked her out of her house and turned off her money. He and his lawyer say that Samuel cut her out of his will and she gets nothing.
Rand plays white knight and takes Cat back to his place.

These two characters are all kinda freaky.

I think I have missed out on this whole damn sexual revolution stuff. (Not that I have the energy to want to do it)
Because this is more like a night at the Flying Monkey House:

The husband and I go to bed.
Three frigging spoiled Chihuahua's come and pounce into the bed with us.
After pushing and shoving their little bed hogging butts into a somewhat manageable position..we get ready to sleep. We are tired, dang it.
The husband starts yelling because one of the Chihuahua's favorite place in the whole world is right up the husband's butt. She doesn't realize it but that man can fart hard enough to blow her little self right out of the bed and through the wall.
Then the snoring starts: It freaks me out because the husband is yelling about smothering me in my sleep if I don't stop it. (bastard)
Then I have to pee since the butthole woke me up and I had four dang kids. Trip over Chihuahua toys left in the middle of the floor and say about fifteen bad words.
Make it back to bed and the husband is now snoring and the little bed hogs now have gone completely boneless on my side of the bed.

So the moral of that way too personal story is:
Palm Springs commercial photography

I do like to read about it. This book is full of all kinds of sexy times. I'm not going to break a hip by trying any of them. I also read some of this book out loud to the husband last night as I tried to get him to work it.
Palm Springs commercial photography

He told me to keep on reading that he had to be up at 3 am in the morning....sexy times.

The third book as the previous books of the series didn't disappoint, it was obvious that for a character like Rand the story would be very interesting as so is he.

"I'm definitely unlucky in love, but i'm okay if it never comes my way again. I've got friends, a great job, and all the kinky fuckery i could ever imagine.

Well Rand never indeed imagined how lucky he was because his time has come, in the arms of a woman he would never believe that she had the ability to wake his caveman inside him and the long lost feelings that will make him see the world with a different point of view.

"I wasn't ready to give up the security he was temporarily providing me, nor these new and delicious feelings blooming inside of my chest whenever he looks at me.

Catherine (Cat) has suffered a lot in her life from her childhood 'till her husband died and leaving her in the streets all by herself, but also her time for change and happiness has come in Rand's arms. Cat is a strong person she "survived" many bad situations without a soul knowing that, everyone thought it was her wild personality but no she was leaving her own personal nightmare and now she tries to take a breath and start her life from scratch not letting anyone owning her ever again. Rand becomes not only her support but also the man she truly deserves to have in her life.

In the whole trip we will see many secrets and discoveries unfold, twists and mean people will try to hurt Cat in some ways, both character will stay strong together trying to overcome every obstacle. Rand is a badass character with many layers, it's really very interesting reading his thoughts and learning many more things about him. In addition the explicit scenes and dialogues made the story even more juicy and after reading the epilogue i can't wait to read Logan's story.

"My heart rate is finally back to normal but what is still going full tilt is the happiness coursing though me."

Wow, Catherine’s story is very different then what I thought it would be. I’m not really certain what I was thinking she was all about but she was a surprise….a good surprise!!

Rand has been told he has a white knight complex and so when he finds Catherine sleeping in her vehicle it is no surprise he offers her his couch. Rand is beyond dreamy!!!

We heard all about Catherine Vaughn in the other 2 books in the beginning of this series, when she would be at the Silos with her elderly husband on the sideline watching. After her husband passed away she found herself homeless. She quickly decided she wanted everyone to all her by her preferred name of Cat and then she decided to go by her maiden name of Lyons. Now she is trying to fully get her independence back but with only $50 to her name she has a tough road in front of her.

Wicked Need is HOT! And it's also very tender. And there's some danger and quite a bit of self-doubt.

Review - (un)Conventional Bookviews

With Wicked Need, Bennett took the tension and the hotness up yet another notch! I felt both sorry for Cat, and was angry at her expense because of what she'd been through with her old-ass husband, and things didn't exactly get better for her once he kicked the bucket, either. And I was so surprised by Rand's knight in shining armour complex! He seemed so detached in the prior books in the Wicked Horse series, I wasn't sure he had it in him to be so caring, even if I knew he wasn't judgemental! He was the perfect champion for Cat, and his intentions were almost always noble.

Cat was a very strong, young woman! She had definitely lived through hell, both growing up with a mom who didn't care about her at all, and after she left home and could only rely on herself. She really thought her life had taken a turn for the better when she married an old billionaire who acted so sweetly towards her while they were dating. He wasn't really all that sweet though, but he managed to keep his true colors hidden until after they had gotten married. Cat was still able to hope, though, and she was not a shrinking violet who thought she didn't have any options at her disposal.

There were sightings of the other characters from the series, too, and Cat's meeting with Jamie and Sloane was priceless! And it also squeezed my heart to think that she'd never really had any close girlfriends before she met them. I also loved that Rand was so ready to do whatever he could to help Cat out, even as he was falling in love with her. Their romance was tender, with lots of hot sex, and the only real obstacle to their happiness was Cat's complete and utter lack of self-worth! She truly didn't think she was good enough for Rand, and was ready to leave him behind so that he could be happy without her.

There was a nice mystery going on as a smaller side-plot, and the way that was dealt with was amazing! It showed some very strong girl-power, fast thinking on Bridger's part, and some hard to keep in check emotions for Rand. If you're a fan of contemporary erotica that has a lot more going on than the sexy-times, the Wicked Horse series is one you should absolutely pick up! Both the main characters and the side characters are well fleshed out, and the story is fast-paced. Written in dual points of views from Cat's and Rand's perspectives, it was possible to really get to know both of them as well.

Fave Quotes - (un)Conventional Bookviews

I'm definitely unlucky in love, but I'm okay if it never comes my way again. I've got friends, a great job, and all the kinky fuckery I could ever imagine. I snicker to myself, thinking about that. Kinky fuckery.

Hell, she may be the absolute sexiest, and I'm only judging this by the fact that, in this moment, I seem to be more attracted to her than ever before. I'm not sure if it's her vulnerability or my white-knight complex, but I've seen Catherine dressed in any number of sexy outfits with perfect hair and makeup, and I never wanted to fuck her as bad as I do right now.

I may spend a lot of time at a sex club, but I'm not one of these guys with emotional barriers who uses no-strings sex as a way to keep women at arm's length. I'm an actual snuggler to the core. I don't care if it's a one-night stand or the love of your life. After sex, there's nothing better than spooning and drifting off to sleep.

I was super excited when I saw that Rand’s story was going to feature in Sawyer Bennett’s third Wicked Horse series book. I’ve been intrigued by him and Logan since the beginning. They seemed to be big time players at the super hot sex club, The Silo, and they usually played together. So, would Rand’s story involve Logan at all? Would his HEA feature just one woman, or would it be more of a triad-type relationship? All questions were answered in Wicked Need.

Rand actually surprised the hell out of me. For someone so obviously free spirited and into anything goes kink, I didn’t take him for the kind to want to settle down permanently with just one woman. But, I think it was BECAUSE he has this incredibly nurturing, compassionate soul that he was able to be such a popular guy at The Silo. Women and men alike loved to play with him, and Rand was happy with that arrangement while he searched for The One.

Rand was able to put his hero complex through a vigorous workout when it came to Cat. Not only had she just gotten out of a very damaging marriage, but she was now left destitute with only her clothing, her car and her membership at The Silo. It was so telling that Rand immediately offered to help her out, despite the potential awkwardness that might ensue due to the fact that they’d played together at the club. He didn’t even care about that - just saw a woman in desperate need, and offered her a roof, food and his help.

Cat is a smart woman. She doesn’t look a gift horse in the mouth, especially when said gift horse comes in the form of former Olympian and stud in the sack Rand. She very quickly learns, though, that Rand is so much more than the person he is at The Silo. Unfortunately, she constantly feels the taint of her former relationship, and that makes her feel less than worthy of Rand’s sweetness, light and tenderness.

Cat was stuck between a rock and a hard place, and I felt absolutely awful for her. I wanted to cry along with her at the situation in which she was dropped. But, at the same time, I loved everything about her, because this woman was STRONG. She’s been dealt a crappy hand, but she’s still independent and has kept her pride. Honestly, she and Rand were so well suited.

Surprisingly, Logan’s name wasn’t even mentioned until more than 50% into Wicked Need. That surprised me. I thought Rand and Logan were sort of a team - Rand’s ying to Logan’s yang. But, seriously - when Logan does enter the picture, it’s for exactly the reason you would suspect, and the resulting scene is the hottest one I’ve read in all three of these books to date. It. Was. AWESOME.

Once more, we’re told at the end of Wicked Need who will be featured in book four, and it looks like it will be Logan’s turn. I’m both happy and disappointed. Happy because I do like Logan, and it looks like his story will be a doozy. Disappointed because I’m STILL waiting for Bridger’s book. I just KNOW that one will be amazing. He is my favorite character of all of them. He seems to be the best friend a man could ask for, and has been so far to Woolf, Cain and Rand. And yet, he seems very alone in the world. He absolutely fascinates me.

Sawyer Bennett’s Wicked Horse series is one of my favorite sexy adult series ever. The characters are interesting, the setting is brilliant and the sex is absolutely ridiculous. I can’t wait to keep reading!

Please please ... I need the next books in this series soon! Same as the previous 2 books in this series I LOVED it! This one might even be my favorite so far =D

This one can be read as stand-alone but I definitely think you'd enjoy it more after reading the previous books.

This book brings us the story of Rand, one of the Fantasy Makers of The Silo. He's a gorgeous, sexy man and he has enjoyed Cat many times before in The Silo but he never thought he would fall for this amazing, strong, damaged young woman. Now he only has to make Cat believe in her own worth. Which isn't easy with the history she has ...

I loved this story, main characters, the kinky f#ckery, the dirty talk and hot MM(F) action ... Sawyer Bennett knows how to write amazing stories which keep you captivated!

The only thing I missed a little is more Bridger haha. Since I started this series he has been my favorite character and I'm impatiently waiting for his book (which will be book 5 if I'm correct).

As always this was a fun read, this series is a bit of a guilty pleasure style read, even if I dont feel guilty at all reading them. I quite enjoyed the first half, I didn't need some of the added drama in the second half. That being said I liked Cat and Rand, even if Rand seems almost too perfect of a person. Cat's a survivor and takes some time to learn who she is as a person.
There are some excellent erotic scenes, I do wish there was more time spent at the silo but with this one I get why there wasn't. That doesn't mean there weren't some scorching scenes though!
Next book will be Logan's which I'm sure will be a good one even if I'm unsure of the whole virgin thing.
