Amazon Top 15 Bestselling author and lover of forbidden romances, tacos, coffee, and wine, Q.B. Tyler gives readers sometimes angsty, sometimes emotional but always deliciously steamy romances featuring sassy heroines and the heroes that worship them. She's best known for writing forbidden (and sometimes taboo) romances, so if that's your thing, you've come to the right place. When she's not writing, you can usually find her on Instagram (definitely procrastinating), shopping or at brunch.
UMMM YESSSS. This is now my favorite of the series. Dad's best friend, age gap, AND office romance? Give it to me. Serena has always been the good daughter who follows all of the rules. It's her senior year of college and she's interning at her dad's law firm. The moment she runs into Landon, there's no denying their chemistry. Landon, though, is also Serena's dad's best friend, so he knows that Serena is off limits. But he can't stay away. I loved the intense attraction between Serena and Landon and how explosive their chemistry was. I loved how they had to sneak around and how there was a lot more going on in both of their lives with their families. This one is definitely my new favorite in the series!!
This book was such a good time. My second book by QB Tyler and I enjoyed it even more than the first. Age gap/forbidden romance between Serena and her boss. Who also happens to be her dad’s best friend. Longer than a novella, but short for a full-length book I read this in one sitting in about 2-3 hours because I didn’t want to put it down!
serena wasn’t childish or anything. landon was a fuckboy who was going through a divorce. the beginning was hilarious, serena and her dad walked in on him getting a blowjob. there wasn’t too much smut, it was the right amount for me. the dads best friend, forbidden, work place romance was done really well. the age gap was a lot, serena is twenty one and landon is forty three. i didn’t partially like when he took his time with her because she’s a virgin and the ending was not it for me. buddy read with bff giada <3
DNF @ 65% - the hero is a skeevy predator manwhore. The first scene is a really detailed bj scene with another young woman in his office… we’re in his head and he’s getting off on how young she is and her “daddy issues”…. He’s a creep… he meets the heroine about 2 seconds after he cums in the too-young-for-him OW’s mouth. He is different with the h… but he still thinks about daddy issues and marvels over “young pussy”…. 🫤😵💫 Apparently preying on the young interns in his office is a *thing* for this 40-something man who is blatantly riding out his cringe-worthy mid-life-crisis and recent (not even finalized) divorce by screwing vulnerable women who work for him (and gawd knows who else).
He’s just a bit too much older and too predatory for my tastes. The h is a 21 yr old virgin. But also very sexually aggressive. I know the author was likely trying to make them seem more equal, but the whole set up wasn’t working for me. I was super grossed out when he was taking the h’s virginity and marveling about the “familiar *pop*” as he takes her cherry. 👀👀👀😵💫😵💫😵💫 He’s “popped” that many cherries, huh? What a special moment this must have been for him. 🥰 That heroine is one lucky gal. 😐🤢
I stopped reading when the h meets the H’s 17 yr old son… the first thing he says to her? “You know we went to elementary school together, right?” 👀🙃🥴😬😐😵💫
Well, that’s awkward.
I’m good. ✌🏻

DNF at Chapter 1 This is on me. I should have read more reviews on this. Chapter one is all about the hero getting a bj from a paralegal and him thinking how he's such a hotshot fucking everything that moves. He was also an asshole to the girl. Nope. I'm out. I can't see him as a hero after he treats a woman like that.

If its about a daddy or his best friend, I NEED IT. AND I WILL READ IT. And my girl QB Tyler knows how to make these stories just right & boy are they HOT.
This story was no different. Playboy Landon West sees his best friend's daughter for the first time at their law firm on her first day as an intern. He is immediately drawn to her and can't get her out of his head. Serena feels this same attraction and although she's innocent in some ways, it doesn't stop her from going for what she wants. Which just so happens to be Landon. OOOO it was just so good y'all. Their chemistry, the forbidden aspect of it all. THE RISKINESS. SO HOT.
THE LIBRARY SCENE. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Definitely recommend ;)

Can we all agree I need to slapped for putting this off for so long? Yea? Okay cool. I honestly loved this book so much bitch I’m mad at myself-____-. I didn’t vibe with First semester that much which is why I was hesitant about this but boy was this a full circle. Serena and Landon are EVERYTHING. I loved the way their relationship formed it was so genuine & organic and oh so hot of course. I’m a sucker for a virgin heroine who wants to explore I can’t even lie. I love it even more when the man is well experienced and WANTS to take his time with her. Yes, yes & MORE YES.. this book was sweet, sexy, swoony, funny & everything I needed it to be to get me out of the reading slump I was in and I’m so grateful. I wouldn’t change not one thing about this book. Even with it being as short as it was it hit all the points it needed to and I didn’t feel like anything was missing.
delicious!! i honestly thought Landon was yet another manwhore considering but as the story goes on, Landon was just awesome! he's just so sweet and not afraid to get what he wants.. which is Serena of course! Serena was amazing as well and strong in her own way. i enjoyed this alot. 4 stars!
A cute and fast read! The second in the “Campus Tales” series by QB Tyler. This series is a lot lighter than my absolute favourite by her–“Unconditional”--but this book isn’t without a little bit of angst! You gotta love the forbidden workplace romance. Sometimes with books where the hero and heroine get together early on, the book is sickeningly sweet or doesn't have enough plot. But this one strikes the perfect balance! 5 stars!
POPSUGAR Reading Challenge 2023: This book fulfills the "A book with alliteration in the title" category.
I am loving this series by QB Tyler. I immediately jumped into the second book and it’s a DADS BEST FRIEND ROMANCE!!! And he’s a lawyer!!! The perfect combo
Dads best friend romances always bring out my own daddy issues and it makes me laugh. I fucking loved this. It was short and spicy, along with so much of their relationship being domestic. Serena was so innocent and Landon with his dirty talking just made everything *chefs kiss* And once again the epilogue was adorable!
I was so happy to read Serenas story (she is Skylers sister, from the first book) SECOND SEMESTER is a steamy, older man/younger woman, dads best friend story, and I loved it!!
at first i did originally give this book a 2.5 stars. KEEP IN MIND, i've never rated a book below 3 stars... its truly because every single book i've read before i have enjoyed. its just this book was a no go for me. i did change my rating after a couple of days because i realized it was just a meh book and it didn't really deserve a 2.5 rating. would i ever read it again?? absolutely not, not even for the smut scenes. does that mean it was horrible?? no. i did like the first book (first semester) wayyyy better than this one. i didn't like the age gap, i didn't really enjoy the smut, i felt no connection to the characters what so ever. it just was a no.
i also did buddy read this with becca again because she is just my bae 4life and we had already discussed reading this series together before april for just some short smutty reads. then i also asked her if the last book in the series is worth it and she said no. so its safe to say i will NOT be continuing or finishing this series, purely because i didn't like this book and if becca didn't like the last back then im not going to waste my time on it. ALSO THE TROPES FOR THE LAST BOOK!?!?! absolutely not, never. so thank you becca for saving me. :) <333
edit: its been a couple of days later after i have wrote this review and i will be changing my rating back to a 2.5 star because i thought of a part in the book that i despised and got the ick. my first 2.5 star ever, oh well.
reread in september, 2021 ❀ i read this like two months ago but felt the urge to skim through to my favorite parts and then just ended up reading the whole thing in one sitting again so… hehe. this book is literally so up my alley it’s insane. i’m happy that i enjoyed it so much again!
four stars! ❀ oh boy oh boy oh boy i loved this book so much!! this was much better than the first one, imo. i related more to serena than i did skyler and i definitely liked landon much much more than aiden. it was still fun to see them in this book, though! i definitely wish this was much longer bc i’d love to read more about this couple 😭
QB Tyler strikes again ! Sometimes I really do ask myself what was I doing in my life not reading her books. I really liked the first book but this one just hit different. Age gap & dad’s best friend. I am here
My God, I forgot how great a smut Q.B.Tyler can write!
After the shitfest that was my last read, this book was a perfect mixture of a light story, relatable characters, cute romance and 🔥🔥🔥 steam. I liked this one so much better than her book 1 of this series: you could actually see the connection between the heroes and how they made each other and each other's lives better by being together.
The ending was a bit rushed and some conflicts felt teensy weensy unresolved, but i guess not every story needs to be that deep.
Loved this one way too much. The tropes in here were just top tier. Serena and Landon’s relationship was truly amazing and I loved how Serena was not a childish character given the lack of her experience.
You get exactly what you expect with the books. It's not necessarily ground breaking or new but these books are all super cute and fun. Great palette cleansers between longer books or if you're looking for a specific trope. I love 1 & 2 equally. Hard to pick a favorite.
Second Semester is book 2 in the Campus tales series by the lovely Q.B. Tyler!📚 Second Semester follows the taboo story of Serena and her dad’s best friend/business partner Landon!😜
Serena, our heroine grew up in a pretty sheltered household. Her younger sister Skyler was bold, a rule breaker, independent, and constantly stealing the spotlight from her older sister Serena. Which inadvertently caused Serena to grow up more on the quiet and reserved side. Serena was always proper, followed the rules, and strived to prove herself which resulted in her taking an internship at her fathers law firm where she meets the low key man wh*re, her dad’s business partner Landon. Landon is going though a difficult time in his life and has been filling his time with meaningless hookups until he sees his Business partner’s daughter Serena. Serena decides some rules are worth breaking and Landon decides hookups are no longer what he wants... but what happens when their taboo relationship gets out?
This book was such a great read! When I first picked up Second Semester I was in a total book slump, but this book pulled me out and got me right back into the reading swing! 🙌🏻
You guys know me, I love taboo books and books with age gaps so already this book was SO up my alley 😍 The book was short, sweet, steamy, and had a few unexpected twists along the way that I really enjoyed🙌🏻 The characters were great, I loved how protective the hero was and I loved seeing the heroine push her own limits OHH AND I LOVED getting to see the characters cross over from book one!😆 Skyler (the younger sister) and Serena were hilarious together!
Side note - This series is made up of interconnected standalones so you don’t have to read book 1 in order to read books 2 & 3🙌🏻
Anyway, If you are in the mood for a short, taboo, age gap Romance I definitely recommend checking this one out!🤩
I really loved Skyler's story in First Semester, but WOWWW I felt incredibly connected to Serena. Aside from her virgin status, of course. (Sorry, mom.)
Serena is Skyler's older sister and is following in her father's footsteps to become a lawyer. As the eldest sister, Serena has always felt pressure to be perfect in all facets of life, and always be calm, cool, and collected in all that she does. She begins an internship at her father's law firm and quickly finds herself in a flirtation with his best friend and partner, Landon. Landon essentially volunteers to be her sexual sensei, showing her the ropes and quickly falling head over heels for her sexy librarian vibe.
Since Landon is her dad's bestie and 20+ years her senior (and in the middle of a messy divorce and a rebellious teenage son) the two face a good deal of adversity when their relationship goes public. As always with my girl QB, the spice was fantastic. I had to literally TEAR my eyeballs away from my kindle to go do dumb family shit, and I think I highlighted 80% of the book to reference...later. Go read it! 4.5/5
I have to admit i read this book first, I thought it was book one but as soon as I read the first 2 chapters I was so hooked to the story and the romance so I binge-read it and absolutely loved it. It has so many of my favorite tropes age gap, dad's best friends, taboo, forbidden and so many more. I love the relationship between Serena and Landon, they are perfect for each other. Also, I loved how the two books connected in this one EPIC scene. Last, the hotness in this book was next level and I was so here for it!
QB is the queen of forbidden and she does it again with this one. This short story follows Serena - the perfect daughter who falls for her dad's best friend/law partner and all around playboy.
The smut is greatttttt. She is a vcard holder and VERY naïve at first. I did get a tad irritated by her "can I see it/I've never seen one before" phase, but it was over quickly and became her own.
Overall a great palate cleanser with a good amount of spice!
The second read in the Campus series and another fast, easy read. This one has an age gap, and a bit of a forbidden romance since it’s the heroine and her father’s best friend/business partner. Serena is a law student and interning at her father’s law firm, things quickly heat up between her and her father’s business partner Landon. He’s going through a divorce and has a teenage son, Serena has been sheltered and hasn’t really experienced life outside of her family. Steamy times, quick read (less than 200 pages).
This book was as good as the first one and I really enjoyed it. It didn’t feel like a novella at all. I would definitely read these two books again. This one does follow the sisters relationship with her dads best friend/business partner which is one my favourite taboo tropes. Would 100% recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 🌶🌶🌶 Age gap Taboo Dads best friend Intern/boss Innocent heroine/ reformed playboy Single dad Praise
