A two novel combo for your delectation. The stories brim with disturbing twists, edgy drama blended into a gripping thriller. The suspense is palpable enhanced by the cast of strong convincing characters.
Never To Be Ignored - Circles of Subterfuge Book 1 A dying woman. A pernicious objective. A warped sense of justice. A nurse deceived and betrayed. Is revenge ever fair?
Stolen By Jackdaws - Circles of Subterfuge Book 2 An old flame. An innocent request? Some valuable gems. The cost may be too great for this gentle samaritan.
If you dare, dive into these two enthralling psychological suspense novels! Fast paced stories involving betrayal, deceit and manipulation. The victims central to these stories are nurses who strive to help their patients in every way possible. Sometimes the help goes beyond normal duties placing our female protagonists in danger.
H.A Dawson writes engaging thrillers triggered by tantalising mysteries wrapped in dramatic suspense. There is a blitz of material coming so be prepared you'll be enthralled, especially if you follow authors such as Robert Galbraith, Ian Rankin, Michael Connolly, Val McDermid, Dean Koontz and Jodi Picoult. This is one book from H.A Dawson's catalogue of gripping stories based around determined women, embracing gritty themes with the strength of drama you would expect from the BBC. Also available - Circles of Subterfuge vol. 2 with another two exciting novels.
HA Dawson’s psychological thriller Never to be Ignored follows protagonist Shona, a nurse, who is asked to help one of her patients eager to solve a mystery before she dies. We learn quickly that Shona is plagued by insecurities that prevent her from trusting people, particularly devilishly handsome men. Shona’s personal life affects the job she tries to accomplish for her patient, and before we know it, tensions rise as the characters are entangled in lies and deceit and revenge.
Dawson does a nice job exploring the inner journeys of the characters, sometimes veering into a bit of analytical writing, but gets us back on track with the action of the story. I like the interrelationships and the revelations that result, making for complex characters.
This is the first book of the Circles of Subterfuge series. I’m interested to see how the author develops the characters’ arcs over the next books.
