Rate this book
Love is madness. Love is divine. Love is a mirage.
Love is .
Love is different for everybody. Some say that words may never be enough to express this feeling. And yet, some of the most beautiful thoughts on love have been expressed in poetry.
100 World’s Greatest Love Poems brings together an eclectic collection of poems, ranging from the love poems of Edmund Spenser, John Donne, William Shakespeare to that of Robert Browning, Christina Rossetti and Emily Dickinson. Comprising light-hearted verses to grand sonnets, this edition is about love in all its varied forms eternal, ephemeral, false, unrequited, platonic, erotic, ideal and true.

This is the first collection of poems that I've finished, and I've to admit that in the beginning I was sceptical of this one too!
Things started getting interesting after the first few pages, and as I kept on diving deeper and deeper, the realization that this collection is better then alright came knocking at my mind's door!
There are many good poems in here, but I won't lie and say that all of them are good to a whole new level, though if you're looking to read some wise words about love penned down by some geniuses, then this will do the job quite well!

A little gem of a book for all poetry lovers that will coax you into exploring the myriad facets of love or something that will leave you delve deeper into a love that still remains uncategorised and unexplored as penned down assortedly by some of the best poets ranging from the sixteenth century’s substantial to the twentieth century’s lucid yet discerning love poetries. Another wonderfully placed in order and enormously rich compilation of Love Poems.

My favourite poems out of the ones I've read so far in this collection include 1. The faithful lovers by anonymous( since it's humourous), 2. To the one that asked me why I loved J.G by Ephelia( since it is humourous) 3. Annabel Lee by Edgar Allan Poe ( since it has a haunting quality) and 4. Heart, we will forget him by Emily Dickinson (since it's beautiful)

To oppose great nature’s plan?”

How sad it seems.”
