Shade It’s interesting, being the guy in the room that makes everyone else nervous. They’re still my Brothers. We ride, drink, and play cards together but no one wants to hear about what it is I do. Even if my jobs bring in a nice chunk of change for the Northern Grizzlies every month. I never minded my life. Not until that night she and I crossed paths on the road. Good girls like her don’t need shit like me dragging them down, so I walked away the next day. I tatted her nickname on my hand. Now, it feels like a brand and when my past rears its head, I’m forced to make some changes. I step back and regroup, but the memories of our few short hours together still haunt me. If our paths ever cross again, I swear I’ll remind her how hot that night was and I won’t let her go. Jessa Shade was honest with me the night we met. I knew we only had the night. The next morning was a bonus. So was the surprise he left me. HEA and panty melting sexiness all rolled into an insta-love, Alpha male, secret baby story. 18 and older only due to graphic content.
Just love me some secret babies, lol, and this one was great with some of my other favorite micro tropes like lactation k!nk and secret tattoo ❤. Fast paced with tons of action. Definitely hits the spot for a lighter, but entertaining read!
I went into it with a friend having given me spoilers about what to expect with respect to my safety preferences. I figured I’d grit my teeth and get past it. Instead, I reveled in it. I can’t say I would intentionally hope to see that happen in a book, but wow, if it’s gonna happen, the way it did here makes a world of difference. I absolutely adore Shade. And Jessa makes a damn fine heroine. Strong in her own right, able to stand when it’s necessary, but also to bend when it’s right. Shade was so beautifully broken and needy that everything he did felt real and right. I will absolutely be reading this book again. Absolutely.
I really liked Shade's story. I admire the author and I look forward to each of her releases. I didn't really care for his character for the first 20%. I enjoyed to see Shade's character change throughout the story and in the end seem truly happy. I loved the contact he had with his son and how he set out to be the man and dad he felt he needed to be. I also liked Jessa's character. Really felt bad for her a few times. A weird feeling for me, her nickname was because of her rosy nipples. People, other than Shade, called her Rosy. For the safety group: I don't feel some people will consider this safe. Their initial contact was a one night stand that was made more than obvious by Shade. He left, felt something for her, tattooed her nickname on his hand and still bought condoms, got drunk and slept with someone else. He regretted it afterwards but still did the deed. Didn't touch anyone else afterwards.

This was maybe my 3rd or 4th book in the series (yes I hop around) and I think so far its the darkest and edgiest one I've read, and I loved it!
I had been curious about Shade and exactly what he did and how he'd find redemption since seeing him in the background of previous books. M. Merin did not disappoint, she really found a way to bring the darkest MC brother back into the light, thanks to Jessa.
Jessa was incredibly brave, strong and resilient, she refused to judge Shade on the opinions of others, kept an open mind and was so accepting of him. I don't blame her, he really turned into a softy after meeting Danny. It was a crazy change of character in the best way.
"I think your shade is perfect." Shade is the man! He's right up there with Gunner for me. This book really gave us all the deets on Shade's hard upbringing. From how he got the name Shade, to how he was practically neglected as a child. My heart broke for a young Shade walking around stinky and couldn't communicate effectively so was put in special education. Because nobody cared to find out what going on in his home. Thank God that a teacher moved near him and he finally started getting proper care. Finding out about his shenanigans as a teenager was funny. I mean taking a dump on someone's front door hilarious I actually laughed out loud. He meets Jessa one night. He helps her out of a sticky situation. He offers Jessa one night and the get it on for twelve hours. The last time the condom breaks. Shade has Jessa rinse out and she tells him she'll take a morning after pill. Jessa goes on to her Aunt's house which is in Shade's hometown. Fast forward a year and Shade is at the town fair. He sees Jessa and goes after her. He has regretted walking away from Rosy and he doesn't intend to do it again. Jessa tells him that she had a baby. Even after taking the morning after pill. Shade steps up to the plate and becomes super involved in Jessa and Danny's lives. I really enjoyed watching Shade and Jessa get back together and get their HEA. It's always nice to see the other characters too. Especially Gunner and Russian. Looking forward to Royce's story and hearing about Gunner's baby.

I have loved this whole series so far. I wasn't sure what to expect with this latest book but, wow!!!. What a story. M Merin has certainly surpassed herself with this one. It ranks up there with Gunner and Riley's story. I loved the whole dynamics of it between Shade and Jessa, or Rosy as he calls her. She is his redemption and he will do nothing else but prove that he is worthy of her. Loved the small glimpses of everyone else from the previous books, especially of my favourite couple Gunner and Riley. This whole series is so worth reading. Love the characters, love the story line and the way M Merin just draws you in.
I started this series on a suggestion from amazon based on my reading history. I have to say that I have come to love the Grizzlies and their women. This book is the best of the series, it has characters that grow and mature as well as have believable connection. I have had a soft spot for shade since the first mention of him and love that he got his HEA.
Shade is scary guy, even his MC brother’s are scared of him. Then he meets a girl and has a one-night stand that leaves lasting impressions! Shade soon realizes he wants something he never thought he would... a future, a family.... Jessa. Jessa had a one-night stand that will change her life forever. Shade will do anything to get Jessa, and to protect her when his enemies come looking for him. I loved this book so much! To be honest, Shade is my 2nd favorite of this series.... I really love Gunner!! Can’t wait for more Northern Grizzlies MC!
Loved the story of shade. SUch a big change. The Northern grizzled are awesome. Only issue I had was toward the end of the book while Rosy was in the cabin someone was confused for two pages and Tabby was changed to Tammy. I had to re-read it three times to figure out who Tammy was and why was Michaels bringing her by.
After each book ends, I get so excited for the next!!! I loved this book!! I loved that Jessa gave Shade a chance that he deserved! Such a good story a s just might be my favor of the series, not 100 percent of that just yet!!
Thank you for A another brilliant book , hard put down read . Gutted it had end. You get know who all are n feel know them. Well done for a read looking forward to the next one.. Thank you x
Shade is so dark and yet there is such a light in Rosie. Once they find each other oh Shade’s heart grows ten fold! You see this fierce biker fall head over heels in love and wow the transformation that happens is special to read about.
Wow!! He’s such a total biker! Strong, devoted to his brothers and is a psychopath. He has a tough job with the club and does a great job. He has no conscience until he meets her and his world is turned upside down. This book got me hooked on the series. I’ve read each so far and am hoping there are more coming. You like bikers? You’ll love this series. Begin with the first and plan to spend hours entertained.
Shade was awesome. I didn’t love how so few wanted to even consider giving him the benefit of the doubt on his intentions but they got on board well enough. Not too mushy or brutal. Good break before the author’s hiatus.
Shade thought he would never light in the darkness around him until her. Jessa wasn’t looking for a hero but he became one. One night turns into a lifetime. Definitely recommend this book and series.
I love this novel. Shade is very involved in the North Grizzlies MC club. He meets with Jessa and had a one night stand. He meets her again finds out that he has a son. I enjoyed Shade committing his support and love toward Jessa and his son. Shade struggle to change his behavior and be a better person.
This story was literally everything.... Shade is this psycho man who cares about nothing but his next kill, that’s the way he’s portrayed through all the other books.... Then entered Jessa and she literally turned his world upside down... one night together 12 hours and then they parted ways.... little did he know he left a little something behind .... Fast forward a year later and they meet again... willing to do anything to prove himself to Jessa that he’s ready for it all.... He wants nothing but her and their son .... Until his past comes back to haunt them all... Amazing read , full of on the edge of your seat moments ... The love and devotion of this crazy man will bring you to your knees ....
This has been a good series it's well written the characters are colorful and passionate. There's action, some steamy sex, and all in all a fun way to spend some time.
Another winner in this series of books. Good plot, great characters, good twists and turns plus romance. Just a really enjoyable book. Looking forward to more of this series.
