The Lady is Mine #2

The Lady Stole My Heart

Rate this book
Six months after a tumultuous beginning, Maegan Miracle and Elijah Markham aren’t just playing house; they’re playing for keeps. The girl who dreamed of someday living in Bliss House is now the lady of the manor and resides with her very own Prince Charming. The man who lived too long as a lone wolf has shed his cold existence for the lady who loves him fiercely.

Pulling strength from their chosen family, Maegan and Elijah lay to rest the ghosts from their past to focus on building their bright future. Sunday brunches, quirky capers, and blazing passion abound on their journey of acceptance, forgiveness, and healing.

The Lady Stole My Heart is the sexy, funny, and endearing follow up to The Lady is a Thief. The Lady is Mine series must be read in order. This novel contains sexually explicit material and colorful language intended for adults 18 and over.

I'm a wife and mother of three teenage kids. I've been married to the same wonderful man for twenty years. I've decided that if I can survive raising three kids then I can survive anything!! I haven't uttered the Mama's curse yet, but it could happen any day now. You know the one..."I hope you have a child just like you someday."

I'm an avid reader and lover of all things romance. I've spent my entire adult life waiting to follow my dreams of becoming a writer. One day this past summer, I decided to just do it. No more wishing and hoping. I haven't quit my day job, but that is my ultimate goal...make a living telling stories of love.

I write contemporary gay fiction. I hope you will love reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them.

The Lady Stole My Heart is the second book in the The Lady is Mine series, so you MUST READ The Lady is a Thief (Book 1) FIRST, as it's a continuation, and you will be confused if you don't. It's 6 months later, and Maegan Miracle & Elijah Markham have put their past ghosts to rest, and are going strong while living together in Bliss House. Their families, friends, and maybe a real ghost or two, are the hilarious secondaries that make more than a few appearances, which only add more humor to this already funny story. And of course with Maegan, there's already some seriously hysterically funny interactions between her & Elijah that had me doubled over in laughter. Not to mention there's a serious mystery of missing chickens.....yeah, more laughter, and my stomach muscles will never be the same. The hotness factor is off the charts, with sexy times that set those sheets, or any furniture/walls on fire, when they are nearby, while some angst filled moments off some twists that had me confused as to whether I would drop f-bombs or shed a tear or two. Aimee Nicole Walker has completely hijacked my full attention with this amazing series, not to mention made me desperate for more! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Another great add to the series. Maegan Miracle and Elijah Markham are at it again, and I loved seeing them grow not only as a new couple but as individuals. Mixed in with the awesome Bliss House mystery we have Eli dealing with his own past. I was caught up in the emotions and new discoveries in this book that I couldn't put it down. These two keep getting better and better. Sweet and sexy moments with a darker story line plot waiting in the wings that am waiting to know more about; hopefully with book 3. If you're like me you love everything from Aimee Nicole Walker and also read 'Road To Blissvile Series', if so this book works along side 'Smoke in the Mirror (Road to Blissville #5)' with those characters.

Happiness and a lingering threat

If you read this, be sure you read the later books in the Road to Blissville series. One of them goes into detail with what happens in California with the ghosts. There’s a lot happening, but it’s Life Stuff. No strong angst or high adventure. You don’t *have* to read the other books, but it’s great to see what’s happening everywhere in Blissville. A lingering threat clouds the horizon for the loving couple’s future.

I admit I preferred the first book in this series - The Lady Is A Thief - which was an easy 5 stars, this one didn't captivate me as much, but it had Memphis and Lyric in it. I adored their story in Smoke in the Mirror so I was thrilled they were in this one continuing the Anthony Bliss story.
I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series - The Lady Took My Name.

I absolutely adore Maegan and Elijah. Their love and commitment to one another through thick and thin just melts my heart. This story is sweet, emotional, sexy hot and funny and the snark factor is literally LOL!! We also get to visit with Milo and Andy and Memphis and Lyric and my favorite town of Blissville!! I want to live in Blissville!! LOL I'm so ready for #3!!!!

OK, Megan and Elijah are probably the only MF couple I have read this year, but Aimee Nicole Walker is too damned talented to pass on any of her books!
I cannot say I love this series as much as I do her M/M books, but Maegan is tough enough that I don't actualy dislike the female character.
looking forward to the next final chapter!

The Lady is Mine 2

So good to visit Blissville again and see so many familiar faces. I love Maegan and Elijah. The two of them have such a dynamic relationship. Unlike most M/F books there is no damsel in distress which makes this series unique and must read. The conclusion to this story is going to be epic.

The lost a little bit of the spark here but this was still a good story.

Things just went way too smoothly for Elijah with his family and stuff. It's not that I want the guy to have a hard time but it just didn't come across as completely believable. Then it seemed like the story was going somewhere with his former case but it just sort of fizzled out.

As Always Aimee tells a great story.

I absolutely love Maegan and Elijah. I thought book 1 was good, but book 2 was so much better. It's like their story keeps getting better and better the more Aimee writes the better it gets. I can't wait on Book 3.

2 1/2 starts. I didn't enjoy this one much. It also rehashed a lot of things from Lyric/Maverick's book.

Very enjoyable

I really enjoyed this second book in Meagan and Elijah’s series. We learn more about the couple and their backgrounds and see their relationship move to the next level.

For the most part the story moved well though there is a sub-plot related to Elijah’s previous job as an undercover detective that gets alluded to and stretched through the book but just hovers. It was a little annoying as I kept thinking it would somehow play out here but nothing...it’s still hanging out there. I’m assuming it’s going to play a role in book three but it was distracting as it didn’t serve much of a purpose here other than to demonstrate Elijah is an idiot for keeping something from Maegan that is clearly going to come back to haunt him.

I liked how the book runs concurrently with two other books, alluding to them without creating any real spoilers. Having read those two books already it worked fine for me but if some hadn’t read Ride or Dye or Lyric and Memphis’ book it wouldn’t be awful (but better to read all the books in this Blissville universe in release order for maximum enjoyment!)
