Finn is focused on continuing the success of his family's bakery. Eventually, he'll settle down with an alpha and start a family, but for now, he's content to satisfy his needs with casual hook-ups. Then a gorgeous stranger walks into the bakery, and Finn's whole world shifts.
Levi's father was a wolf shifter, but he was raised by his human mother and—like most hybrids—has never shown any wolf characteristics. That all changes when he enters Lupine Bakery and every instinct tells him the omega behind the counter is his.
Both Finn and Levi try to ignore what their hearts and bodies are telling them, but an unexpected pregnancy may force them to face what fate has in store.

This short, scorching hot prequel to a new series was a wonderful read. I really liked Finn and Levi and look forward to seeing more of them as the series progresses. On to book one!
A cute little shifter romance. Finn is an omega. He’s going through a long dry spell due to the hours that come with running his own bakery. Levi is new in town and human. Well he thinks he is. His father was a shifter but after going through puberty with no signs at all he assumes he’s human.
Contact with Finn starts to changes Levi and being close to Levi brings on Finns heat.
I love me some mpreg! This was just a quickie...yes it was lol. But it's a good, sweet start to a new series I'll be looking out for (and what I mean is stalking the author, legally of course). I'm glad book 1 is out. Daddy kink and age-gap....my favorite.
It was sweet -if a bit too high on the sugar intake- for the most part and I was kind of enjoying it, when the human/hybrid MC, made a disappearing act for no reason at all and killed the romance for me. I couldn't get past his assholeness :(
I can't tell you how excited I am that one of my favorite authors has caught the mpreg-writing bug! I love the world she has created here already, and I can't wait for more!
This is a quick, sexy intro into her new world of the shifters at Trillium Creek. Alphas, omegas, heats, mpreg - it's all good here, folks. I can't wait for their alpha to get his story, or that beta couple to get theirs.
Love at Lupine Bakery is a prequel to Silvia Violet’s upcoming Trillium Creek series. It was originally released as a freebie and has now been recovered and re-released for sale in anticipation of the first full book in the series (which is releasing next week). This is short and easy and a nice way to get a feel for the new series. I was able to get a good sense of the world building in Violet’s omegaverse, as well as to get to meet some key players. Not everything is fully fleshed out here, but given the length, that is to be expected. But I got enough of a sense of how things worked that the story comes together well. The book is told in alternating POV chapters, but for some reason I felt like we get a much better sense of Finn than Levi here. The story also seems to focus a little too much time on Finn’s cousin, so much so that I expected his book to be the first one up, but that is not the case. Still, I assume he will have a big role going forward.
As a prequel for a new paranormal series, this novella definitely does its job. It sets the scene in the fictional small town of Emsworth, Virginia, introduces the Trillium Creek pack as the local shifter group in charge, and presents several characters who could be starring in the books that will hopefully follow soon. The focus is on Finn, an omega dedicated to making his family’s bakery a success, and Levi, who is a half wolf shifter and believes he is more human than wolf since he has never shifted. When they meet, everything changes and I had fun watching them deal with the fallout.
This was a short quick read that I liked. This was the first book in the "Trillium Creek" series. Finn is the owner of the Lupine Bakery after his parents who were the previous owners were killed in an automobile accident.Finn knows he’ll eventually find his alpha and have babies and settle down but for now he’s perfectly fine hooking up with random guys every chance he gets. Finn is working the counter when a new customer comes in Levi is part human part wolf who doesn't know it he was raised by a human his father took off. Finn senses that Levi is at least part wolf but he is also confused about being so drawn too him. When these two finally have sex it’s unlike anything either of them has ever experienced. It confuses Levi even more he has never believed in knotting and has never experienced it so he takes off although it was the best sex of his life. When Finn discovers he’s pregnant and it wasn’t even time for him to be in heat when he hooked up with Levi everything changes for both men. This was a really good read I have read this author before. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
It was fast read with some things I liked - hybrid shifters, Levi's wolf waking up because of meeting his mate and I really liked cream filled innuendos. In the same time it was predictable and after the sex scene it felt like a f/m harlequin story. As much as I like shifters books and happy endings, this one was just too silly.
3 stars. If this would've been a full length novel I would've given this a higher rating because it does include just about everything that I love in a ABO book. Plus, I say it all the time but Silvia Violet is so amazing at smut. Just top notch quality smut. I really liked Levi and Finn, they felt pretty fleshed out and their chemistry was undeniable for this to be such a short read. I was impressed. The setting and side characters were interesting as well. This is a really good set up for the series and I'm looking forward to reading the first book and starting a new series by Silvia Violet.
Oh my god, this prequel has me so excited for this series!!! I really enjoyed this so much and the way the background characters were thrown in has me so curious to find out more about them and this little world of theirs. Of course, this couple moved really fast but I didn't actually mind -- I find myself more forgiving when the love happens 2.5 seconds after the couples meet when it's a mate thing involved? Either way I enjoyed this so much and I fanned myself during the smut scenes because boy can this author write amazingly.
Loved Finn! He's funny, sassy and knows what he wants. He's no shrinking violet. Levi's a bit confused about who and what he is. He does know with a certainty that he's very attracted to Finn. One encounter and poor Levi has to comes to terms with his heritage. They frighten and overwhelm him causing him to run. There is a bit of a miscalculation on Finn's part and unexpected consequences. I liked that Finn is understanding that all of Levi's Alpha tendencies are new and he doesn't have a handle on them yet and he's quick to forgive. I was impressed that when faced with Finn's confession Levi openly welcomes the changes in his life.
A great start to the series. It was nice to meet members of the pack. This was a quick read but a perfect set up for the series. Hopefully we will see more of Levi and Finn.
Just a quick re-read to get myself ready to read Love at Long Last ;)
If you’ve spent any time at all perusing this blog you may have noticed (if you didn’t guess by the tag-line) that I’m an eclectic reader. I have my favorite genres and authors, but I’m not afraid to take a step outside my comfort zone. That’s exactly how I stumbled into the M/M genre to begin with. I started with a book that had a paranormal/fantasy aspect because it’s one of my favorites and the rest, as they say, is history. So, why the segue into this review? I know that I’ve read at least one other MPreg story, but I can’t remember which one. It’s obviously not one of those genres I seek out. But, when an author I follow that has written both contemporary and paranormal books that I love, I’m willing to give something I might otherwise shy away from at least a shot. Silvia Violet is one of those authors. I loved her Wild R Farm series, so when I found out that she was starting another Shifter series, I was intrigued. Since Love at Lupine Bakery was a free short offered during a Halloween Giveaway, I thought, why not? Turns out I think I may have found a new favorite Silvia Violet series 😉
Finn was adorable and so was Levi – in an Alpha sort of way. They were the perfect couple to start this series with since all the world building was naturally explained to readers by way of filling Levi in on a world he knew little or nothing about. The supporting characters were just as interesting as Finn and Levi and I can’t wait to get to know them better as the series continues. I really hope that readers get more of Finn and Levi though because as much as I loved Love at the Lupine Bakery, I wanted more. *sigh*
Miriam - per RFS . Salve giovani lettori, come va?

I have read this book via Kindle Unlimited. I do enjoy the shorter novellas, and I hoped that this book would kickstart a great new series. Sadly, not. Finn starts out as being focused and fun loving, which is very contradictory to his personality towards the end of the novel. Levi is a latent shifter who acts like an Alpha shifter around Finn. Then after an evening of shifter fun, Levi runs out on Finn. Finn starts with morning sickness, whilst Levi keeps away. After Finn seeks counsel from the Pack Alpha, Finn goes to Levi's house. After a brief discussion about fated mates, they profess their love for each other, have more shifter fun, Levi claims Finn and a HEA ensues! To be frank, there are so many red flags that this is going to be a toxic relationship. After reading the blurb for the rest of the books in the series, the 2nd book is based on an Age Gap. The 3rd book is based on Thruples and the 4th book is based on an Omega who acts like an Alpha who falls for an Alpha who acts like an Omega! This is so insulting to the LGBTQ+ communities it's laughable. I would like to know how straight female authors are so derisive of the gay community? Thruples, polygamy and polyamory are more the norm in straight communities than the LGBTQ communities. If you liken Alpha, Beta and Omega to the gay community then: Alphas equate to Out n Out Tops, Omegas equate to Out n Out bttms, Betas equate to versatile guys. Yet here we go, a female author who knows best! Unfortunately, I won't be reading anything else by this author.
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the at he kids' series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or 'Liberty' from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey’s books) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times a year (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time- reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok). It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
I'm really looking forward to the upcoming set of books coming about the Trillium Creek Pack; I think we have some fun reads coming here. In this prequel we meet Finn who is running the Lupine Bakery after his parents, the previous owners were killed in an automobile accident and Levi , who has recently moved into town to take a professional position with a local company. There are some really fun flirting lines passed back and forth the first time these two meet in Finn's Bakery. Ms. Violet has written another fun tale of boy meets boy and they fall in love with a deliciously sweet HEA. I mean, it is written in a bakery, it should be sweet, but it's also sexy!
A pretty sweet and standard alpha and omega pairing with some speed bumps along the way. There is a bit of insta-love through the match because of mates but the two are a cute pair together. Hints of more to come in the series as we learn about the fact that fated mates used to common and are now rare. Things have been hidden to the shifter world about what used to happen and be normal. With the fact that the alpha of this pack hasn't found his fated mate yet, and talk of another pairing in the pack that is having their own difficulties, there is plenty in this world to make into a series of books! Would look forward to longer stories in the future that give a bit more development.
