Chris Ethan is a book whore.

He enjoys selling his feelings for money and other pleasures and is blatantly unashamed to do so for as long as he breathes.

Chris writes stories of gay romance.

Before you delve into his books however, be warned: He likes putting his characters through shit-storms and hates anything conventional.

Except for that darned happy-ever-after. He loves happy-ever-afters.

Also, he likes swearing. Deal with it!

I received this ebook for free from the author from a contest giveaway. This has in no way affected my opinion or review of the book.

The professor, Freddy, signed a contract for his college professorship, and students are off-limits.

Harry has a major crush on the above professor, but doesn’t think he can get anywhere with Freddy.

   So, naturally, what happens?

I cannot stand it when someone knows beyond a doubt that they SHOULD NOT DO THE THING, that they have every justifiable reason to NOT do the thing, and then, they go ahead and not only do it, but do it to the max! …And especially when doing the thing means they have to go out of their way to do it in the first place. Now, if the temptation came to the door, that might be different, but then again, doors close as well as open, don’t they?

I mean, there’s just no excuse, Freddy. That was just dumb of you, and I have zero desire to see what happens next.

Not to mention the unnecessarily detailed masturbation and blow-job scenes – for both, there was not enough characterization/development to, in my opinion, justify having neither one nor the other scene in a 45-odd page short. They were gratuitous (or something similar, at least) scenes, that did nothing for anything except for the latter opening the door to a world of problems that not only could have been very easily avoided but were also completely unnecessary to bring upon the characters who know better. Heck, we could basically say that the story was written just so these scenes could even have a setting to take place in. Not that this offered much of a setting in the first place.

So, I am sorry Chris Ethan for this harsh review, but to answer the sort-of question you pose, no, I am not interested enough in any of these characters for more of their story and to presumably see how they make it work despite a pesky work contract.

Thankfully it was just the right length to fill my otherwise book-less 20 minute bus ride home, and not any longer. Which is also why it does not end up on my "waste of time to finish" shelf.

The unique saving grace in this ebook copy is that the chapter excerpt from “The Guy with the Suitcase” leads me to believe that Ethan is capable of writing better fleshed out and potentially complex characters, and stories where the sex is secondary to the characters and their stories/histories. So while this short and the characters it proposes is a no-go for me, there is potential in Chris Ethan’s other stories.

Typo:
…wasn’t sure were to look. – page 43/49, in the bonus chapter from another book – “were” should be “where”

I think when we all think of Halloween stories images of demons, fright-fests, all manners of creepy and scary come to mind but it can also just be a Halloween party that leads to more . . . or not(I won't spoil this delectable short😉). Professor and student, what could be more heat-filled for a masquerade party? I won't say much more other than, yes I would have loved to see more of Freddy and Harry but for a Halloween short, Dick for Treat is deliciously fun that certainly got the blood pumping

This is a short novel but it is sweet but also sexy. Freddy and Harry, Spiderman and Batman. It is a fun book with a teacher fighting his lust for his student. Also a student trying to find a way to seduce his teacher. I enjoyed reading this sweet book very much.
It is a nice little rest bite from a full novel, definitely worth getting as a in between book. To give your brain a bit of flirtatious fun.

Wow. As short as it was Freddy and Harry's story is pretty hot. I like the way the younger man take control and how nervous and possibly shy Harry is. I hope there is more to come.
