It was pushing midnight at the bar, and I was looking to make a mistake. Then he walked in.

Lexa Lewis turns to a one-night stand to blow of some steam after losing her job. Casimiro is the perfect man for the task: tall, handsome, and smiling like he knows exactly what Lexa’s thinking. By the time she follows him to the bathroom neither of them need to say a word to know what the other wants.

If only the affair ended there.

Never expecting to see him again, Lexa is shocked when Casimiro and his team of safety auditors show up at Blackrock Energy, the site of her new job. And when her boss suggests they rent the spare rooms in Lexa's house, she has no choice but to agree rather than admit what had happened with the burly contractor. Now she has to resist the temptation of having four muscled, charming men walking around her condo.

But Casimiro and the others—Kai Mendelssohn, Tex Matthews, and Jason Padmore—aren’t just at Blackrock for a routine safety audit. They have other motives surrounding the huge drilling company, and it means not getting involved with anyone working there. Yet Casimiro can’t stop thinking about Lexa and the way she felt that night at the bar…

As Lexa discovers what their real mission is, she must choose between helping the men with whom she’s falling in love or remaining loyal to her new job. Will she decide which course of action is right, or will she lose both her job and her lovers in the process?

DRILLED is a sexy, stand-alone reverse harem romance filled with humor, action, and mystery. It also contains sizzling hot menage encounters, in single and multiple partner scenes. HEA guaranteed!

Great story, the romance needed work though!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🖤💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍🌎
Character development: 😟🤭☺️

The heroine: Lexi - she just lost her job as a copy editor at the Bismarck Herald where she had worked for seven years, after finding out the paper was closing down. She also just closed on a huge 3 level condo, and her job prospects in newspapers are not good. Lexi is at the local watering hole drowning her sorrows when in walks a tall blond hunk of man candy.

The Heroes: Casimiro, Kai, Tex & Jason - audit contractors for Blackrock Energy who may have more in mind than just a routine safety audit.
Cas - handsome, muscular with dirty blond hair. He originally worked in the oil drilling industry but wanted out because of the dangerous working conditions, so he decided to become a safety auditor.
Kai - he’s German, massive and muscular. He has a bit of PTSD, and he loves to cook for others.
Tex - he is tall and lean with a buzz cut. He grew up with a lot of fear and anxiety, joining the army and becoming a demolitions expert helped with that, made him focus on safety, which is why he became a safety auditor.
Jason - He is slow to trust and has a bit of a hard edge.

The Story: - Lexi and Casimiro meet in a bar and immediately hook up in a closet near the bathroom. It was her first quick and dirty one night stand kind of hook-up, and she sneaked out of the bar as soon as it was over. Months later after looking for jobs for a while and even putting the spare bedrooms in her condo up for rent on Airbnb and Craigslist, Lexi finally got a job through a temp agency. She would be working as an administrative assistant (a.k.a. secretary) for a company called Blackrock Energy.

Lexi had only gotten creeps replying to her ads for the rooms she wanted to rent in her condo, so her boss suggested the four audit contractors should rent those rooms while they were in town. Lexi wasn’t too thrilled about it when she saw that one of those contractors was none other than the man she hooked up with a few months ago, but she couldn’t really do anything about it so the four men moved in.

I liked the fact that these four guys had shared a woman in the past, so it wasn’t odd for them to all want Lexi or for them to all start hooking up with her. I also liked the fact that the guys were at Blackrock Energy for some other purpose even though they were actually safety auditors. They said from the start that this would be their last job, so it was all very mysterious.

One thing I didn’t like about this story, it was that Lexi seemed so intelligent at first, but then she does something that is so stupid, it changed my opinion of her. Then she lets her boss talk her into some unethical behavior and she thinks it is a great thing because it is more work for her and the kind of work she likes to do. The guys were all great though their big reveal of what they were hiding wasn’t a shock at all.

Though I did like this book, I probably liked it the least of the 4 reverse harem books I have read so far from Cassie Cole. She has good stories, but in the first three books I read, she spent as much time on the relationships as on the detailed storylines. In this book, I found that I didn’t get as good of an idea of who each of the men were, especially Jason and Lexi’s time with Kai (other than him cooking for her) didn’t start until late in the book. I still plan to read more from this author though since her writing and stories are so good.

Honestly, this one and one other HR have been the only two contemp HRs that actually had a decently realistic reason WHY these dudes want to share one vagina.

Other than that, there's a lot of sex. I also ended up skipping ahead after I realized the deal with the bad guy was gonna get stupid.

Really liked this one despite the awful cover.

Lexa loses her job when the newspaper she worked for shuts down without warning. She drowns her sorrows at the neighborhood bar where she meets a mystery man. He had a bad day too and they share a night of making each other feel better.

Lexa gets a temp job as a secretary at Blackrock Energy. She meets four new auditors who end up renting rooms from her in her condo at the advice of her boss. She realizes that one of them is her mystery man.

Her boss and the auditors are working against each other and she’s stuck in the middle. This leads her to not know who to trust and what to do.

Very exciting and loved the characters.

Another fun read from Cassie Cole! I really enjoyed the whole “corporate espionage” angle, it was an interesting plot to follow. I also liked all our main characters, I wouldn’t go as far as to say I loved any of them, but I certainly could had we had more time to get to know them. They weren’t even all together-together until the epilogue which was disappointing. I could confidently say that it felt like the main focus was on Cas. Oh well, still a wholly enjoyable read.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

First off what a way to start a book! The female lead just lost her job so she goes out to the bar in an effort to take her mind off it. She decides she deserves a one night fling so she finds one just when she about gave up. It is steamy too and just when she thinks she will never see him again he turns up at her new job on the first day with a group of his colleagues with him. Circumstances throw them all together and man do the fireworks fly. I enjoyed the double meaning for the title too since this revolves around oil drilling. Well written and will keep your attention until the end. Great for fans of contemporary RH novels. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

This is my second Cassie Cole book, and it's clear to me that even though the writing is fine, I just don't dig her reverse harem storytelling style.

Just as in Smolder, Ms. Cole seems to have done a lot of research on the industry she has the MCs working in - in this case, oil drilling. While I admire her dedication, it still seems like overkill much of the time; although, not as repetitive as the information in Smolder.

My main issue is that Ms. Cole spends so much time setting up what the MCs do and explaining the nefarious plot going on in the story that there really is little time to dedicate to the relationship between the MCs. There simply is not enough room in this book to build four separate relationships. I think this book would have worked way better as a M/F/M menage between Lexa, Cas, and Tex.

The story did start out super hot, with Lexa's anonymous hook up with Cas in the bar, but then it took too long for any more relationship stuff to happen. Cas ends up coming into her work, and they pretend they don't know each other. Then when he moves in with her, they go through the song and dance about it being better if they don't mix business with pleasure. They do finally get together, and then it takes a few more chapters to get Tex in the mix. Then a bunch of chapters until Jason and Lexa hook up. And then Kai isn't until the epilogue. By the end, I just really didn't understand why the author even bothered adding so many guys in. Jason didn't really have any personality whatsoever, was just filler, and Kai was a bumbling goofball just there for comic relief. It just didn't work for me.

Lexa ends up at a bar drowning her sorrows at losing her job. She's just about to give up and go home when a gorgeous man walks in and sits down beside her. Cas is having a bad day and wanted to drink his day away when he saw Lexa. After flirting back and forth they end up hooking up in the store room of the bar. Lexa slips away thinking she wouldn't see him again but she was in for a surprise. A friend of hers got her a temp job as a secretary and on her first day she runs into Cas and his team as they come in to do a safety audit of the company she is temping at. Cas is stunned when he sees her especially since he has been looking for her but gets upset when she slips him a note asking him not to say anything about their night together. Cas, Kai, Tex and Jason end up renting rooms in Lexa's condo during their stay in town and things start getting confusing for her. She enjoys spending time with guys but her boss is pushing for her to snoop into their things and find out what they know. She says she will but she knows that she won't and when the guys start asking about what she knows its raises some concern. Will the guys complete their job safely? Can Lexa see herself having a relationship with the guys?

This is a steamy hot story that will draw you into the story and have you wanting to know what'll happen next. The chemistry between the characters is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Very plot heavy very much espionage in depth characters very realistic serious sort compared to the rest of the genre but not necessarily a bad thing but its not the light fun happy sort of fantasy that one might be looking for when searching reverse harem. Its personally not my style contemporary just isnt my thing but i love RH which i why i gave this a go but its not bad so if you are the sort that likes more plot, thinking, and drama with your romance. This is your book!!! I'm impressed by the author as ive never read a reverse romance that was so well written either i mean like i said not my taste for a reverse harem but ill certainly be following the author this is a solid read and well written so really shes done far better than a lot of people i mean even if the romance wasnt my deal i still finished the book so that should say something as few people achieve that. I will say the only downside though was their were some parts where it was wuite hard to get through whether than be because it was so detailed and plot heavy and whatnot or just because i like that in small doses or at the very least with equal parts romance that was really the only 'bad' thing about this book that i had to put some effort in to read it at stages. I really loved the unique setting and also the end (no spoilers) really had me on the edge of my seat and my heart was racing. Its very few books that manage that.

Amazing romance that is more of an investigative story than an inverse harem
I was pleasantly surprised by this book because the cover tends to injure it. I found that for this kind of novel, the action in the world of oil, the shenanigans, were rather well explained and not a moment boring. In the end, the romantic part, let's just say, atypical, remains romantic, sometimes a little hot but it is never creepy or heavy.
The cover completely injures the book because when I was advised I almost did not read it for that, but finally, it's really more a story about the malfeasance and security in the world of oil in the United States , with, in parallel, the story of a woman, Alexandra, who finds herself dismissed from her work as an editor for a newspaper, and who then sleeps with a stranger to comfort herself, then she finds him again1 month later, as an inspector for audit in oil companies to control the security. Except, he is present with his 3 other colleagues, to look for evidence that Alexandra's new business is dishonest and dangerous. The four men live at home with her at the request of her new boss, but they have a lifestyle a little different from the men she has known and she wonders if she would agree to be "shared".
Between espionage, lies, threats aggression and romance, the action part takes over the inverse harem romance, but finally, that's what I liked the most.

Story and writing were okay. The irony - the h in this book was an editor, and this book could have used her expertise.

Lexa finds herself without a job when the newspaper she worked for folds. Out drowning her sorrows, she thinks a random one-night stand will be just the ticket. Enter Cas. One look and Lexa decides Cas will be just the man to help her forget her troubles for a bit. A quick trip to the storage room and Cas is ready to exchange names while Lexa heads out the door. A month or so later finds Lexa at her first day of a temp job. Who should walk through the door but the handsome stranger from her one night of self indulgence. Having just found out she has rooms to rent, Lexa's boss volunteers her home to the stranger and his coworkers. Finally, Lexa and Cas have names to go with the face that has haunted their dreams. However, Cas is a sharing kind of guy, and rather quickly he opens the door to an idea that has never crossed Lexa's mind. Does she want to be involved with more than one guy? What's that going to entail? Meanwhile, the guys are investigating the company where Lexa works. What are they after? Is the CEO really the nice guy Lexa thinks he is? Or, will they find themselves in danger?

This was a quick read. Not only that, but the relationship development was lightening quick. Needs editing, but if you are looking to be entertained, this will do. Enjoy.

Things came out the be very happy and a sexy read.

Lexa just lost her job as copy editor at the newspaper because the went out of business. So shes drowning her sorrows at the bar and in walk Cas. He too is there to drown his sorrows. They end up having sex in the storage room and Lexa considers it a one night stand and sneaks out. Cas wanted more and he continues searching for her for weeks. Lexa finally got a temp job at BlackRock Energy. It is a high dollar oil company. So the CEO is Milton Bryson and he is meeting some Audit Contractors today. In walks four men and the leader is the one she had the one night stand. These men are Casimiro Floyd (Cas), Jason Padmore, Kai Mendelssohn (he is a German), and Theodore Matthews (Tex). So finally Cas recognizes her and then things start heating up sexually and in business. Instead of a motel the men stay at her condominium to help her out financially. The men are there to check out BlackRock as they've heard lots of rumors about the company not keeping up with regulations on their oil rig drillers and drilling. Things become really intense between the men and the company and Lexa is in the middle. At home the sex is spectacular as she slowly gets to know the men one by one. This had a happy ending.

This was a great read - hot and steamy with an intriguing story.
Lexa & Cas randomly hook up in bar.. she thought it would just be a one night thing but on her first full day at her new job guess who strolls in.. yup Cas & his 3 equally as hot friends. They’re there to safety audit the company as they suspect it’s corrupt. Her Boss lets slip she has spare rooms to fill so she finds herself with 4 sexy new roommates while they get the job done #winningatlife!
She agrees with Cas to keep their hook up a secret.. but with the strong attraction between them and him and his friends preference for sharing their women, things don’t stay platonic for long.
It takes a little while to get to know the other guys because there’s so many of them and the chemistry between Lexa and some of them is slower to build but there’s some decent steamy scenes. The guys are quite endearing too.
Then there’s the added drama of the secret investigation the guys are conducting... Things get quite dramatic towards the end.
Only thing is feel a tiny bit short changed as there is 4 of them but only get as far as a 2some.

DRILLED WAS SOOOO GOOD, OH MY GOD!! I didn't realise how much I've been missing romantic suspense until I was suddenly reading it. I wasn't expecting this book to get me so wound up, but I had to read it all in one sitting because I had to know how it ended. Who needs sleep, anyway?? Certainly not me!

These characters were so well-rounded and fun to read. They all had their little quirks that made them unique, but they all still came together really well. I loved their dialogue and the relationship that all five of them had together. I do wish that Kai's character would've been fleshed out a teensie bit more but that's just me being nitpicky.

The concept of this one was fascinating! Fracking is an extremely dangerous business and I thought Cassie really did the career justice. She didn't bog the story down with hugely complicated scientific explanations, but instead gave the reader exactly enough information to understand what was happening. I really enjoyed the look at what a safety auditor does and thought it made for an interesting perspective to read.

Drilled was phenomenal! I seriously wish I could read it again for the first time just to feel that magic again!

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Lexa Lewis, Casimiro "Cas", Tex, Jason, and Kai. On the night that Lexa loses her job she figures she has nothing to lose with one more thing that night in the bar. That was the night she decided she would have a one night stand but leave before things could get weird. Little did she know her one night stand would be back again and this time he isn't alone. Cas can't believe his luck he has finally found the woman he has been searching for. Only to find her in the office of the last place he wants to find her. Can she find her HEA as well as a place to live or will this blow up in all their faces before it's over?

This is a super hot book. It does have its ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Unexpected

Wow, so yes.. I admit... I did judge the book by its cover and therefore I was hesitant to read it. I THOUGHT the book’s focus (or at least feature) a lot of sex with minimal plot or character development. I was very wrong.

This book has a near perfect balance between being character-driven and plot-driven. The FMC and the RH (4 guys) have histories, personalities, character development and fit into the book and plot really perfectly. Even the bad guys and side characters have unique, stand-out personalities. The world building is lacking a little but, but it is contemporary real world so it doesn’t matter so much.

An unexpected bonus, you’ll learn about drilling for oil and a little about how that works, safety requirements for an oil drilling site, and more. I totally wasn’t expecting to learn so much from this book. I’m glad I was wrong! More than once I was glued to the book, on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen.

I recommend.

Our heroine rents out her spare rooms to four sexy auditors. Soon there is a lot more happening both in and out of the bedroom.

At its heart, this is a sexy reverse harem romance story, with lots of sexual antics in a variety of combinations. But it is also more than that. The story is very well developed and includes an intriguing mystery that the men are here to investigate. The characters are also very well developed (both in depth of character as well as physically!) and have distinct personalities, which keeps the entire story very believable and interesting. The multiple sex scenes don't hurt either and they are all steamy. And it all wraps up with a nice HEA, but you will have to read to the book to find out those specifics.

Highly recommended.

I love a good reverse harem story anytime. This one is enjoyable. It's "safe" in my personal opinion. Per the description I had been anticipating (and hoping for) more MFMM action. There was a few MFM scenes but nothing too scandalous. This book is tastefully done. The language could have been worse and was very consistent across all the scenes.

I was surprised at how intense parts of story line were! This has some dark back stories but it was necessary for the character development and MO. A fun, flirty read that has me curious what else could have been in store for Jason, Cas, Tex, Kai and Lexa, however the book ends with a good old HEA.

I received an ARC copy of this book for my honest review.

Hot, steamy and a book that keeps you on edge

Explicit sex scenes, a situation that causes one's blood to race with adrenalin and not one but 4 heroes to be hot and bothered by. This is one book that will keep your blood humming for more than one reason, because of that I give this book a rating of4.5 out of 5 stars and a pepper rating of Cayenne pepper! This book has a plot that not only is well written but also realistic, I thoroughly enjoyed reading g this book. I also enjoyed the fact that I was dying g to jump my partner by the end of so.soft he scenes.

If you like Reverse Harem books with a realistic plot and with a bit (A small bit) of a Thriller vibe then this is a book that you might really enjoy!

I hope that this has helped you find your next Tantalizing Tome!

I fucking hated this book. What a waste of fucking time and money.
Only read this book if you want to be taking some kind of an online course on drilling and fracking and other boring ass shit. This author just goes on and on about the most boring fucking shit and there is just no relationship or romance or sex in this book.
It has the literal bare minimum, not even that. And she has four men. One she only mentioned having sex with one time at the end of the book we didn’t even experience it.
There are no group scenes, she only has intercourse once with one other guy and it’s a quickie in a closet. And then only twice with two other guys. This book was my numbingly, boring and difficult to get through.
And she even called a dick a “sensitive cylinder”once! EW.

Cassie Cole is a new author to me and this is a fantastic Reverse Harem story. Lexa just lost her job she goes to a bar to pick up a one night stand and she meets Casimiro and Lexi gets a lot more than what she bargained for. Lexa meets Casimiro’s work mates Jason, Kai and Tex 4 sexy men that she’s very attracted to but what will Lexa do when she finds out why the men are there and what will she sacrifice to do the right thing?. I loved this Reverse Harem and there are some pretty hot sizzling scenes enough to make your kindle smoke. A great read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Great

I loved that it was longer had more depth to the characters and you learned about each one individually. I loved that we heard from all of them wish we heard from the guys at the end though like an epilogue for each of them would have been great. Other than that this was a fantastic #Ménage book totally recommend this book like wholeheartedly. It was so #funny I laughed like a lot and it was super #steamy and it felt genuine so many #sexy scenes in books are so artificial and fake but these felt right. It was exciting with the twist and turns I just loved the book. Great job by the author Cassie Cole. #Bookaholic

A wonderful story that not only is about what is happening how and with whom between the sheets but there is a background to it als well. When Lexa lost her job she starts at a new firm that drilles gas out of the soil working the front desk. Cas, Jason, Tex and Kai happen to be auditors checking said firm. One thing leads to another and she ends up with 3 of the 4 guys. When she discovers that her boss is not the good guy in the equation she has to be on her way to warn the guys from danger. Will she be in time or loose all of them due to an accident on site? Great and a little thrilling story as well.

One of Cassie Cole's Best stories

I really loved this story. It was nearly impossible to put it down. The story of the 5 characters was slightly missing some of my favourite parts like the group play time... But It was still a very good back story. For once I wanted an Extra wrap up and this time there wasn't one... I am very happy the story is all in the book. I would read a sequel to this story... I really felt I'd like to follow them on adventures and maybe a few group play days... Maybe a special trip to audit in other parts of the world. I would give this story 10**********

Loved it, loved it, loved it!

I received a free copy of this book however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
I loved this book and what a 'banging' start to it! (You'll get it once you've read it!). I thought the storyline was really unique and although I love poly books I much prefer when they have a storyline that is not just based on that, which this one must certainly does not do. While I found the plot great my only critique would be I would have liked Kai bought into the relationship earlier and more about them as a 'fivesome' in the bedroom

This is a reverse harem story with a happy ever after.

The author has done well in the way the characters in the story are developed. Each one has their own relationship with the leading lady’s character and together they have their group relationship. No jealously.

There are some interactions where more than one person is involved but the entire book doesn't focus on it.

I expect the few typos will be fixed before the story goes live.

Another good book by Cassie Cole. I don't like the cover though. I think Lexa should have been represented differently on the cover. The part were Lexa's boss trust her as much as he does is weird seeing as she has only worked for the company for a couple of days and as a temp. I do get that he's trying to get her to spill on the 4 guys but allowing her to see sensitive information is odd. Other than that it was a good book. You got a great mixture of heat and of story.

After loosing her job, Lexa is desperate for another one to pay her bills. Tex, Cas, Jason, and Kai are determined to prove that a specific company is responsible for cutting safety corners. They all want the truth. Will Lexa believe the men? Will the men be able to escape when danger comes knocking?

I loved the dynamics each person brought to the table. I loved how each man was different from each other and were able to offer a different personality to the relationship. I loved how Lexa took a chance and was determined to do what she could to help them. Steamy read!

Disappointing

Not the best book I've read from this author. There were numerous typos and grammatical errors (made even worse by the irony that the main character is supposedly an editor). The plot was almost nonexistent. The whole thing had way too much sex without any actually character development or relationship building to back it up. I found myself skimming the sex scenes because I was bored. I've read other books from this author that I liked but this one was not very good at all.
