Rewrite the Stars by Charleigh Rose is just the second book I've read by this author, but I can already tell she's going to be one of my favorites! I love angsty NA romance, and she did a stellar fucking job keeping me captivated by this one. There was never a moment where I wasn't either intrigued, entertained, or fanning myself. Her writing style is addictive, and I know I'll be going back for more!
One fate filled night, an emotional Evan stumbles upon a carnival feauturing 4 bike riding bad boys, The Sons of Eastlake. Over the course of the night, a series of events take place that lead up to her first kiss and first arrest. This chance meeting, that kiss, and the events that follow wind up changing the course of her life forever.
From the leather jacket on his back to the bike he rides, Sebastian McAllister is the quintessential bad boy with an attitude to match. He lives his life like it could end tomorrow, because he doesn't believe he has a future. A heavy cloud of doom has been hanging over his head since the day he was born, and he knows more than most that tomorrow is never guaranteed.
Evangeline Thorn was born with a silver spoon in her mouth to a loving family in a beautiful home. She has a life most people would be envious of. Beautiful, smart, sheltered, and headed toward college at an Ivy League, she lives every day like there's big things in store for her future.

Rewrite the Stars is a unique coming of age romance with a splash of mystery and a sprinkle of suspense! The story is well paced, entertaining, and original, and the secondary characters are endearing and interesting enough for me to cross my fingers that they get their own books. There is too much potential here to be ignored, so I'm holding out hope that I get my wish. 🤞🏻
Full of angst, passion, amazing banter, and a connection that pours off the pages, the romance is everything I hoped it would be! Sebastian and Evan's chemistry is off the charts, and the sexual tension between them will have you squirming in your seat. The sex scenes damn near set my kindle on fire! I will never look at carnival rides the same way again.
My favorite part of it all though has to be the setting! It's magical, vibrant, and mesmerizing! I could feel the excitement in the air, hear the music from the carousel, smell the funnel cake and cotton candy, and see the burlesque dancers performing on stage. The author did a phenomenal job of making me taste, see, smell, and experience everything right along with the characters. The story will live on inside my head a lot longer than most, because of how immersed I was in every aspect of it.
Overall, I loved everything about this novel. From start to finish, I was nothing but impressed! This book helped pull me out of an enormous reading slump, so it gets bonus points for that alone! 5 stars all the way!
If you're a fan of Charleigh Rose, picking this one up is a no brainer. You already know how awesome she is, so what are you waiting for?! It was already written in the stars that I would love this book. Fate or choice, I give this story the perfect stars it deserves!
Note: This is a new adult, coming-of-age romance.
Every book comes to an end. Why do I feel like I don't want this to end? Just give me a second to process what I've just read.
Sebastian and Evangeline started their epic story at the carnival. Sebastian was a stunt performer there and he prevented the guards from taking an emotional Evan. She never been to a carnival before and she just barged into the show without a ticket. Sebastian told the guards she's a part of the show. After their performance, Sebastian invited Evan to have some fun with him and his cousins named Eros, Lathan, and Tres. They were called the Sons of Eastlake.
She said yes! Yes to her first kiss, first crime, and first life-changing moment.
After 2 years, Sebastian and Evan met again. But this time, Evan's life had turned upside down. Her father was addicted to drugs and her mother left her job because of her dad. During her graduation day, her mother told her to stay with her grandparents in New York. She didn't want to. But she had nowhere else to go. She only had two choices. Either stay with her grandparents or run away with the carnival with Sebastian.
She chose the latter.
Sebastian was cursed. His life was limited. He has an expiration date (his words). So, he didn't allow himself to date, to be in a relationship with anyone especially Evan. He deprived himself of love. He denied hisself of hope.
The ending was the best! Just beautiful. If it's possible for a standalone to have a sequel, I wish this book an extension. I really love this couple and this book. I'm not ready to say goodbye.
I extremely recommend this if you like: Charleigh Rose, a carnival, an unique atmosphere, an adventure, a sizzling chemistry between the mc, an angsty romance, an emotional story, and a beautiful ending.

Pissed off at her parents and their overbearing ways Evan aka Evangeline walks away from their hotel needing to clear her head, not knowing how long she'd been walking, or even where she was for that matter, she stumbles upon a carnival, sneaking into a tent where four boys are performing on bikes perfectly in sync with each other, she's instantly drawn to one boy in particular, the ringleader of the group Sebastian.
His clothes are dingy and faded, his skin streaked with sweat and dirt...But his face. He's like one of those 1950's heartthrobs from the movies my dad loves. Like a young Marlon Brando.
After the show they all embark on an adventure that sees them all getting into trouble of some sorts, the boys more so, Evan is a minor and with powerful parents she's let off with a warning, but that night changed everything, from that point onwards Evan's life drastically spirals out of control, the poor little rich girls life literally changes from riches to rags in a matter of moments which is the catalyst that sets her life on it's axis, nothing will ever be the same, and it changes the life of not only her but also her parents lives forever.
Sebastian McCallister and Evangeline Thorne are as different as chalk and cheese, she's as privileged as one can be, and he's the boy with a curse on his back.

After stepping onto the carnival grounds that night so many moons ago each year when the carnival comes to town she's still as ever drawn to Sebastian even with his arrogant demeanor she can't hide from the feelings he evokes in her and it doesn't take her long to convince herself that she wants to be beside Sebastian going from town to town. Suitcase in hand with very few belongings to her name she embarks on her first adventure.
The chemistry and sexual tension between Evan and Sebastian was off the charts, it sizzled off the pages, and left me panting in their wake, a unique, utterly captivating, magical kind of read.This book was full of insane chemistry, love and angst. There is nothing I would change about this book.
You connect with the characters and storyline straight away, starting that first chapter I was hooked, and even back at that first chapter I knew that this was going to be a favourite of mine by this author, I wanted to run away and join my very own carnival, I didn’t want this to end, I couldn't put it down. Because I loved this as much as I did I just hope she gives us the other boys stories!!

I never thought running away with a carnival sounded fun, until I read Rewrite the Stars. What starts as a spark filled one-off encounter between Evan and Sebastian morphs into a turning point for the rest of their lives. One night of fun changes Evan’s life more than she could have ever imagined. When she once again runs into Sebastian and his crew, who ruined her life with one encounter. Her life changes even more, but maybe for the better this time?
Charleigh Rose takes us on an adventure into the fun, lusty, intense, and tense world of the carnival. I loved the vibes of the setting and the people. While Evan is dealing with some coming of age new adult life stuff, she also gets to absorb the lights and thrills of carnival life, and life with Seb who claims to want nothing to do with her outside of helping her out. Riiighhhhtt. These two have a spark from the start, and the TENSION is unreal between them. GOD. It’s interesting reading Sebastian try to behave with Evan, even though it’s not what he wants.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE some of the characters we meet along the ride. I can’t say who exactly, because I don’t want to give away who is good and who is crap, but OMG some of these characters. (I want more, but pretend you didn’t see this because Charleigh JUST GAVE US this blessing. And I have no idea if she even plans for more... so I’ll be patient.)
Not only was this story fun and hot. It also took me on an emotional rollercoaster. Evan and Sebastian are BOTH dealing with things they feel like they will never get past. It’s interesting to see them navigate and bond on the things they have in common. The family vibe you get between some of the characters by the end is just everything. They just had me in my feels. I love them.

This book definitely exceeded my expectations and words can't describe how much I loved this book.
"Chick hasn’t had anything to eat but cotton fucking candy in the past twelve hours. This is why I don’t have pets. You have to feed them and shit."
The night Evan met Sebastian changed the entire course of her life. In this book we meet the 'The Sons of Eastlake' (Sebastian, Eros, Lathan and Tres) four daredevil boys on bikes that take risk to a whole new level and perform in the carnival. These boys live by one rule :

We don't have children

and of course they have their reasons for it, which we get to know as the book progresses.
Oh, so I’m not living, because I was a little hesitant to waltz into something called the Globe of Death? Or because I’m not keen on breaking and entering? Sorry for my pesky self-preservation instincts.” I puff up a lock of hair that’s fallen in my face and try to walk away, but before I know what’s happening, Sebastian backs me up against the dilapidated wall, his fists resting against it on either side of my head.
“That’s where you’re wrong. You may be scared, but your self-preservation instincts are lacking. Otherwise you wouldn’t be out here with us. And you damn sure wouldn’t be thinking you’re safe right now with me.
I loved how unique this book was and was drawn to the bright lights, and mysterious aura surrounding the carnival. Evan and Sebastian and the exhilarating things happening every time they met grabbed my attention. This book had the perfect storyline, from the sizzling chemistry that made the pages burn to the forbidden relationship aspect of this book, it was very difficult to stay away from this thrilling read by Charleigh Rose.
This book was my first by this author but it certainly won't be my last. Charleigh Rose took me on an exhilarating ride with the Sons of Eastlake and Evan and I loved this book so much that I devoured it in one sitting.

the so called ‘angst’ was annoying and the bad boi vibe was just not it for me—maybe bc he’s also so confusing and indecisive (for a good reason) but stillll, i wouldn’t waste my time over him
the conflict was lame and could’ve been easily solved🥱 nEXT

I finished this book early today and as soon as I finished it, I already wanted to start reading it again. I didn’t want to part with these characters. I could live in their world forever. They sucked me into their orbit from the get-go and now I’m sad the journey is over and there is no more Evan and Seb for me to enjoy.
This story is very unique and I loved it so much. I hope Charleigh is planning on writing a book for each of the McAllisters. I know Ero’s would be so so much fun.
But Seb and Evan oh my god! I don’t even have words... They were so good together, there was so much fire between them, lord!! Honestly y’all, you are going to die the best possible bookworm death. Everything about these two was so hot, all their fiery interactions, their comebacks, it was so fun and sexy... and the chemistry between them... oh boy when it exploded it was epically hot, just e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. Fire blazing hot, fan-self hot, you get me?! So so good!
I mean Charleigh always give is fire but this was book was on another level. The plot was so well thought out, so good and there was so much to it - sexiness, suspense, emotion, recklessness, plain old fun. Ah, I’m obsessed. I have the scenes playing in a reel through my head and it just makes me want to pick up the book again and start reading it like it was the first time.
You guys need to read this. For fans of Charleigh’s previous books, it’s a must read but it’s one for those who’ve never read her too, because you can experience her at her best.
Honestly, Asher who? No no no, I still love him but Seb might have stolen the show, that’s how much I loved him. The badass stuntman, sexy af and a dirty as heck mouth, #giveme. I honestly drooled over him. Gah, he was just *heart eyes* everything! And them sex scenes, holly mollie! He was... can’t even think of a proper word that will make him justice.
Evan was so strong, she put a b*tch front to hide her emotions from those around and to not show weakness but there was so much emotion and feelings inside her. Seb could read her good, and he cared for her when no one else seemed to, even when he barely knew her and even when he tried to hide it. He saved her from a lonely, sad, uneventful summer and instead gave her the best wildest ride of her life.
I’m gonna stop here so I don’t spoil anything for anyone. But please do yourself a favor and read this one. It’s unlike anything I have ever read and it’s the best damn thing, seriously I am obsessed. I’m getting that gorgeous paperback and rereading this asap. I really think this is my new favorite CR book, no matter how much I loved Bad Habit (which I really really do), this one was so amazing, it completely stole all the thunder.
I wanted more Seb and if there’s one thing to complain about it’s that ending. It was very rushed and even though it was very sweet and I adored it, I wish it had been longer, some of the scenes could have been extended and shit. I could have had a little more time and a little more of my Sebastian and my Evangeline.

4.5 'Enjoy the sun' Stars!

I am seriously becoming more and more addicted to Charleigh Rose’s books! I was all over when she announced she was writing a new standalone book set in a carnival that involved two people from very different worlds falling in love. I mean, doesn’t it sound great? Now I can confirm it totally does because, again, Charleigh’s newest novel was simply wonderful to read. Get ready for the roller coaster that Evangeline and Sebastian are about to give you, guys! Trust me, it’s a good one.
So, Rewrite the Stars is Charleigh’s newest release and it’s a standalone new adult romance. It’s the love story between Evangeline Thorne and Sebastian McAllister. Evan comes from a rich family with a good reputation but she is bored of her life and seeks more. That “more” happens when she meets Sebastian in a carnival where he works in a stunt spectacle. The sparks are instant, they share a life-changing encounter that, unfortunately, does not end well. Two years pass, now Evan is eighteen and she wants to escape her current life. Everything changes when she starts working in the carnival and the sparks between her and Sebastian continue being unstoppable. Yes, their journey will have lots of obstacles and also lots of emotions. Will they get their happy ending? Read it to found out!
How ironic that the person who caused all my problems was also the one to give me a way to cope with them?
Wow, that was quite an experience, let me tell ya! I already knew I would very likely enjoy this novel because I love how Charleigh develops her stories and the relationships in them. Rewrite the Stars is mysterious, entertaining, sexy, suspenseful and simply magical. I loved all the theme around the carnival, reading all about it and the people travelling in it. I especially loved the four Sons of Eastlake and the whole secrecy around their family history. It got pretty intense sometimes and emotional too and I really loved that.
Hope is a dangerous thing when you’re a McAllister.
Of course, though, my favorite was the chemistry between the main couple. Evan and Sebastian share lots of moments, full of sexual tension, angst, sexiness and feelings. Their connection is explosive and I loved how they found happiness and peace with one another. I do wish though that the epilogue was a bit more developed because I wanted to read more about their HEA. It was not an easy journey but now they are rewriting their story together and, yes, it’s a happy one.
It wasn’t the carnival I was drawn to. It was Sebastian. That wasn’t a coincidence. If anything, that was fate.
Therefore, my rating for Rewrite the Stars is 4.5 STARS because I really enjoyed Charleigh’s take on the theme of carnivals and how she developed more into this magical and secretive world with Evan and Sebastian’s love story. Of course, she killed it with the burning chemistry between the main couple and with the amazing list of secondary characters. Who else is curious about the other three Sons of Eastlake? Because this girl is! I am not sure if Charleigh will write more about them but if she does, I will be all over it! Again, she did a fantastic job with this new adult romance and I highly recommend it!

Wow, that was quite an experience, let me tell ya! I already knew I would very likely enjoy this novel because I love how Charleigh develops her stories and the relationships in them. Rewrite the Stars is mysterious, entertaining, sexy, suspenseful and simply magical. I loved all the theme around the carnival, reading all about it and the people travelling in it. I especially loved the four Sons of Eastlake and the whole secrecy around their family history. It got pretty intense sometimes and emotional too and I really loved that.
Hope is a dangerous thing when you’re a McAllister.
Of course, though, my favorite was the chemistry between the main couple. Evan and Sebastian share lots of moments, full of sexual tension, angst, sexiness and feelings. Their connection is explosive and I loved how they found happiness and peace with one another. I do wish though that the epilogue was a bit more developed because I wanted to read more about their HEA. It was not an easy journey but now they are rewriting their story together and, yes, it’s a happy one.
It wasn’t the carnival I was drawn to. It was Sebastian. That wasn’t a coincidence. If anything, that was fate.
Therefore, my rating for Rewrite the Stars is 4.5 STARS because I really enjoyed Charleigh’s take on the theme of carnivals and how she developed more into this magical and secretive world with Evan and Sebastian’s love story. Of course, she killed it with the burning chemistry between the main couple and with the amazing list of secondary characters. Who else is curious about the other three Sons of Eastlake? Because this girl is! I am not sure if Charleigh will write more about them but if she does, I will be all over it! Again, she did a fantastic job with this new adult romance and I highly recommend it!

And this book wraps up my reading challenge for 2018. I really enjoyed this, not counting the endless wait for the book to go live on Amazon. Not that I was excited to read this or anything.
I had a blast at the carnival! Evan and Sebastian were fun to hang out with and I loved the side characters (Eros and Kat, I hope you guys are up next!). I’m really glad this met up to my expectations.

I loved the side characters in this book. They are likeable, even the prickly one. My favorite was Eros who always managed to lighten things around him.
Rewrite the Stars is a tale of taking chances and living life to the fullest. It would appeal to fans of NA romance with non typical setting.

Rewrite the Stars went above and beyond my expectations.
I never thought I would fall in love with a carnival-themed romance, despite having a fondness towards them. Charleigh Rose made this amusing and entertaining—beyond everything expected and anticipated by creating an environment vastly different to what we’re used to in romance.
I was drawn towards the bright lights, unique setting and exhilarating atmosphere surrounding the carnival. Both Evan and Sebastian grabbed my attention. Between having fierce chemistry and intense sexual tension, as well as a delicious forbidden aspect within an intricate storyline, Rewrite the Stars is difficult to stay away from.
How ironic that the person who caused all my problems was also the one to give me a way to cope with them?
Running away from life, teenage responsibilities and overbearing parents, Evan finds herself drawn towards the carefree, carnival lifestyle. She also finds herself drawn towards the enigmatic and mysterious stuntman, Sebastian McAllister.
Despite being beautiful and wealthy, she’s guarded and closed off, especially when everything around her begins crumbling. Evan’s growth throughout is admirable—she begins off appearing self-centered, shallow and quite horrible in desperate attempts to maintain her societal status. But she flourishes into this loving, carefree human when her life becomes more entwined with Sebastian’s.
Hope is a dangerous thing when you’re a McAllister.
Oh Sebastian, what an adorable, brooding mess he is. You could really sense the internal struggles he went through in desperation to stay away from Evan. I loved the mystery that surrounded the McAllisters as it creates this interesting feature revolving around this broken family.
Whenever Evan and Sebastian were together everything exploded in angst and banter and romance. They have tantalizing chemistry and serious sexual tension brewing between them. And when they finally came together (no pun intended), it was passionate.
Normally secondary characters don’t capture my attention, but the Sons of Eastlake are thrilling characters with so much potential to become amazing leading stars. I hope CR is intending the write stories about them, especially Eros!
Rewrite the Stars is brimming with mystery and suspense. It is thrilling and mesmerising, vibrant and beyond unique, and filled with so much undeniable magic. I only have one tiny issue where the ending felt somewhat rushed, but otherwise this is an overall fantastic read!

Oh my gosh this book and all the damn feels. My heart can’t take the beating it was just given, damn it.

When I came across this beauty I knew it was something I just HAD to read. It intrigued me and boy, I sure as hell wasn’t ready for what the book dealt out that’s for sure.
I can honestly admit I’ve never once read a book that involves the lives of people in a carnival so this beauty popped my cherry. I’m super fucking glad it was my first.
Seb is an asshole, a sexy, loveable asshole. Believing in a family curse has him closed off from love and anything that’s associated with it with the exception of family.
Evan is beautiful, independent but closed off. After an accident has her life falling apart everything changes for her, she’s dragged through a horrible couple year but still remains strong. After spending one night at the carnival she’s addicted and can’t seem to stay away.
Watching them together, their story playing out is intriguing. The ups, the downs, everything just fits perfectly into their story. It’s happy and heartbreaking and oh my god SO. MANY. FEELS.

I absolutely loved this book. I devoured this New Adult story of star-crossed lovers in on day completely unable to put it down. Charleigh Rose took the bad boy/good girl trope and gave a refreshingly unique story. The bad boy, jerk, stand offish hero paired with the feisty, ready-for-new-beginnings girl within this unique setting had me greedily flipping the pages. The only thing I'm sad about with Rewrite the Stars is that it's over. I hope this author decides to tell the stories of the wonderful secondary characters in this book so we can get more from this world.
Sebastian McCallister and Evangeline Thorne couldn't be any more different. He walks around tortured and recalcitrant waiting for his ultimate sentence to be carried out while she's wandering aimlessly looking for something to make her feel herself, to make her feel free. Fate brings them together time and again with tension filled, explosive, and passionate tension simmering between the two from beginning to end. The story is angsty, evocative, and entertaining - these characters ones who grab hold of you and don't let go. Charleigh created a perfect couple with these two and their story couldn't have enamored me more.
The plot, the writing, the setting, the characters all fuse together seamlessly in Rewrite the Stars. I love how Charleigh Rose crafted this book within the New Adult genre but still leaving it raw, gritty, and rule-bending. In a world full of illusion this author dissects things like fate, trust, betrayal, friendship, family, and love in the most natural ways to fit her story. The book feels as honest as it does fun and romantic which truly illuminates both the characters and the story arc alike. I'm so happy to have read this book and can't wait to get it for my bookshelf. If you like ill-fated main characters with great angst and undeniable chemistry in your romance you'll love this story.

Words can't even begin to describe how much I've been anticipating this book. I love every book Charleigh Rose writes and I couldn't wait to read one that took place at a carnival!
The night Evan Thorne met Sebastian MacAllister completely changed the course of her life. From being the good girl who always listened to her parents, Evan has become a hard shell of who she once was. When things get too hard to handle at home, Evan decides to turn to the only person she wants to be around anymore: Sebastian. Sebastian, though, is cursed and will push away anyone who comes too close to him. Living on the road as one of the Sons of Eastlake, Sebastian will do anything to keep his promise to his family, which becomes much harder with Evan crawling under his skin and into his heart.
From the very first chapter, I was LIVING for the angst in this book. I loved how mysterious Sebastian and his life was and how alluring it was to Evan. With each fast-foward in the beginning, I loved the forbidden nature of their feelings and the anticipation of Sebastian and Evan finally giving into their intense bond with one another.
The whole atmosphere of this novel was definitely one of my favorite parts of reading Evan's story. When Evan runs off with the carnival, I loved the close space she shared with Sebastian and his family, which made it harder for them to ignore their insane chemistry. I loved the danger that was a part of Sebastian's everyday life and how much Evan found herself living out of her comfort zone. I could not put this book down and devoured Evan and Sebastian's intense romance.
Rewrite the Stars is one of my new favorite romances from Charleigh Rose and had everything I love, from angst to a brooding hero who tried everything to push the heroine away. I was obsessed with this romance and am so sad it went by so fast! For a unique and addicting read, you have to pick up Rewrite the Stars!

Told in dual POV, the plot is driven by incredible sexual tension between Evan and Sebastian from the first time they meet. As the attraction grows, they have their own personal struggles to process but they continue to find solace in each other. With mystery set in the backdrop, the pace moves steadily until is quickly begins to unfold.
“Every summer comes to an end. Does that mean we shouldn’t enjoy the sun?”
Evan is a young character, with the narrative beginning when she is only 16 years old and dealing with typical high school drama. However, Evan is then thrust into an extremely difficult situation which gives her the impetus to find her own way. With Sebastian, he exudes sex and rebellion, but he is fiercely loyal to his family. He is easy to like and lust over.
Overall, I enjoyed the storyline though it was predictable from the outset. However, I was still rooting for Evan and Sebastian to the end. The atmosphere and eccentric characters of the carnival definitely add interest. And, Sebastian’s “brothers” left me wondering if they will get their own books.
Rewrite the Stars a sexy coming of age story with light elements of suspense.

I'm so impressed with Charleigh! Rewrite the Stars is perfect!
On the outside Evangeline Thorne has it all. The perfect house, perfect car, prestigious parents, the best of friends......a perfect life. None of it is real. Evangeline, "Evan" doesn't feel like herself anywhere until the day she walks unto the grounds of a carnival. It's not the roar of the crowds, the fried foods or the games that pull her in but a beautiful green eyed guy named Sebastian McAllister.
Sebastian and his cousins perform the death defying stunt called the globe of death. Every night he puts his life on the line but that's something he'd never do with his heart. Evan and Sebastian go off on an adventure the night they meet and there's an automatic pull between them but unfortunately the night doesn't end so well. Misunderstandings, lies and assumptions have them separating and not seeing each other again for a year when the carnival is back in town.
Their second meet isn't so cute, they're both bitter from what happened between them last time but that pull.....it hasn't gone anywhere. Evan is holding it together but her home life has taken a very unexpected and crushing fall. She's feeling more alone than ever. Sebastian has grown up with a shadow lurking over him. He doesn't get close to anyone, doesn't let them in, why would he when he believes his life is on a timer.
Rewrite the Stars was such a fun ride! Not only is their major steaminess, angst, romance, laughs and a hint of mystery but there's so many interesting characters, all set to this fantastic carnival back drop. This is not to be missed!

However, she is drowning in her expectations to be perfect in her parents eyes. Evan butts head with her parents often and while on a trip she had a bad fight that resulted in her rebellion. She broke free the night she met Sebastian who is the main hero (H). He lives his life dangerously as a stuntman for the carnival. Essentially, he dances with death everyday due to his family curse. He is drawn to Evan instantly when meeting her. Fate in a screwed up way thrusts her into his life every year, and one summer everything changes and Evan throws a curve ball in Seb's life.
"Sebastian's presence is larger than life. Even without opening his mouth, you can feel his commanding energy."
As main H, Sebastian is quite intense and has a brooding alpha male vibe to him. He had great chemistry with Evan. Sure he was stubborn at times which was infuriating but he was at war with himself trying figure out how to be with Evan without her being crushed for when he was gone.

Evan is young and at times her behavior shows it with how childish she was when conflict arose at times. Still, I liked that she didn't take anyone's bullshit. She grew a big backbone with everything that happened with her dad. She created her own path when she had no one left and embarked on a wild journey for the summer. She broke out of her shell more living the carny life and became more comfortable when facing the unknown in situations.

I think what's so unique about this book is the setting. This is non-traditional setting as this is set revolving around carnival/carny life. There is some predictably with the plot though. I felt that since the carnival is a place many people visit, but what exactly lies underneath the bravado of the people working there, could have come more into play with this story. I feel carnivals overall can have this mysterious vibe to them with regards to what are the people stories who end up working for them.
Also, I felt the falling action in this story was a bit rushed in the last chapter as well as the HEA. I mean waiting to see what happened had me waiting with high anticipation, but I felt it could of been flourished more instead of it being a short paragraph explanation in the epilogue.
Lastly, I loved the side characters a lot. I felt they were developed well and likeable. Even the prickly ones I enjoyed mixed into the story.
This is a full length novel that is a standalone that I enjoyed and am glad I picked it up at random to read. This is a book that centers on living your life to the fullest without regret or doubt. Essentially, carpe diem mentality!

5 cursed stars
HOLY FUCK! This book. I was actually going through a serious book hangover after finishing The Fallen Men series when I started Rewrite the Stars. Well, it was exactly what I needed because I was pulled into Sebastian and Evan ’s story from the very first sentence. It was one of my most anticipated release of the fall and for a fucking reason. The writing, the atmosphere, the angst, the banter, the chemistry. EVERYTHING was just so fucking perfect.
I am utterly and completely in love with this book. As soon as I finished it I knew, KNEW that I’d re-read again and again. Rewrite the Stars is most definitely my favourite book from Charleigh Rose. I am simply OBSESSED with the story and characters.
Evangeline Thorne and Sebastian McAllister ’s tantalizing, enticing connection will make you feel all the fucking feels. Sebastian is such an intense hero. He’s got a broody attitude and you can literally FEEL his struggle with keeping himself away from Evan. And Evan. She has to be one of my favourite heroines EVER. She’s not afraid to show her sass and attraction to Sebastian, and I love her so much for it. Their chemistry is explosive and off the fucking charts. I literally couldn’t get enough. Ugh, I just LOVE them so hard.
Charleigh Rose has done an incredible, brilliant, fantastic job. Her writing is captivating, unique and so, oh so beautiful. I only wish the second part of the book was not as rushed as I felt it was. But I’m greedy like that, and wanted more and more of Sebastian and Evan. This book was refreshing, mesmerizing and I loved every second of it.
Overall, Rewrite the Stars is definitely one of the best books I’ve read this year. I highly, highly recommend. Just trust me and read the book already.

HOLY FUCK! This book. I was actually going through a serious book hangover after finishing The Fallen Men series when I started Rewrite the Stars. Well, it was exactly what I needed because I was pulled into Sebastian and Evan ’s story from the very first sentence. It was one of my most anticipated release of the fall and for a fucking reason. The writing, the atmosphere, the angst, the banter, the chemistry. EVERYTHING was just so fucking perfect.
I am utterly and completely in love with this book. As soon as I finished it I knew, KNEW that I’d re-read again and again. Rewrite the Stars is most definitely my favourite book from Charleigh Rose. I am simply OBSESSED with the story and characters.

I devoured this book in two days and loved every sleepless second. Charleigh Rose knows how to check alllll my boxes, and Rewrite the Stars was no exception:

⭐️ 5 "Carnival" Stars ⭐️
Rewrite the Stars was one of my most anticipated release of the fall and for a reason. Charleigh Rose never disappoints with her stories and once again, this unique novel was amazing! She totally captured the atmosphere of a carnival where this story takes place and the chemistry between her main couple and the suspense had me enthralled all read long.
"Why should I stay?"
"Because I don't want feel like waiting another year to see you again."
Sebastian is such an incredible hero. One of my favorite kind, with a broody attitude mixed with a charming presence! You feel his real struggle with keeping himself away from Evan. He’s always repressing his powerful attraction to her due to the glooming “curse” planning over him. I lived for every single moment shared between these two though. They made me feel a lot with the passionate back and forth, and their tantalizing connection omnipresent in each action. They’re so explosive when they let go of their doubts and go for it!!!
Evan is also an interesting heroine! I enjoyed this young woman trying to find a place where she can finally experience life. She’s been somewhat sheltered by her parents, but for the summer with the carnival she can live fully. I appreciated seeing her grow through the story. She’s not afraid to show her sass and desire to Sebastian or she finally learns what true friends are.
As much as I enjoyed this incredible couple, the wonderful supporting characters made this book even more delightful. Eros, Lathan and Tres each brought something to the story with their different personalities going from playful, to peace-maker to cautious. Just saying, it would be amazing to get their stories too!

In definitive, Rewrite the Stars is a beautiful compelling story. The humour, sexiness and enigmatic plot fascinated me completely. I highly recommend this read you won’t be able to put down!

Books like this are why I read romance. You know the stories that make you remember those first kisses, the tummy butterflies, the feelings like your heart would literally break in two. I binge read it in one 2am session and went to bed with a very happy heart. Gah!
It's Angsty deliciousness with a capital A, where not everyone is what they seem, and not everyone will get their HEA. I loved the twists with the characters, the feeling that the story was somehow just a little "other", it gave me a gypsy vibe. I have to also say that the chemistry in this book was PERFECTION!! I will never look at a ferris wheel or carousel the same way again. Hot Dammmmm.
Definitely recommend. 2018 Favourite for me.
