Forbidden romance is always thrilling just becasue it's forbidden...or at least, that's how it's supposed to be, right?!

Here, the whole story was a bit weird, in the lack of another word, I can't really pin pooint what I found awkward, but for me the general impression was that it had no thrill of that "forbidden" vibe...at all

and the main characters, both of them, were kinda meek...*shrugs*

Being on holiday and owning so many books, I decided to try and make it my mission to clear off some older stories. Scrolling through my iPad, I came across a couple of the Cards of Love Series which I have had since 2018 when the series was released. Each book in the Cards of Love Series is based on a particular tarot card. The Ace of Swords is what Rolland our main male character pulled. The Ace of Swords represents new ideas, new challenges and new beginnings, and much more. Rolland has always been a numbers and facts guy and works as the accountant for Sergio - his business seems to be mostly above board, but there are moments when it could be illegal. Sergio gives off this strong mobster feel. The one thing Sergio loves most is his daughter Tatiana who has just graduated from college and now Rolland is in a bit of a dilemma as he is sleeping with her and the pair are slowly falling in love. The thing though is A) Rolland shouldn't be even looking at the boss's daughter and B) he is a bit older than her. This was an easy and quick read but one that could be a hit or miss, so giving it a borderline 3Ps.

I’ve read Nora before, and each time I sit down with one of her books I know I am in for steamy treat, this is no different.

A steamy, cat and mouse novella standalone, Ace of Swords is another great installment from the Cards of Love series. Following the back and forth of Rolland and Tatiana, both chained to different masters, each brings the heat that you can’t help but want between them. not my fave from Nora ...but still totally has her style and it is steamy. from her my fave would probably be her Royally Bad series or Peacock, which was my 1st read every from her. totally pulled me in and i knew she was a great author and would be back for more and more. hot and steamy-ness that is her style. sold! Tatiana likes to tease her man and honestly Rolland needs that in his life, “jet lag, Rolland,” she replied, turning her body to me and stroking my cheek. She continued in a whisper, “I’m the worst. I’ll need to spend at least twenty-four hours in bed. Probably naked. Would you keep me company?” I liked this quick read.

Another hot bite sized novella from the Cards of Love series.

Wow, I’m quite addicted to this multi-author series, and Nora Flites’ novella is a steamy tale of back and forth between a man driven to complete his planned career path in earning the trust of a hard working billionaire, and trying to steer clear of the man’s gorgeous daughter intent on getting to know him a lot more intimately!

I loved the characters of Rolland and Tatiana, and even Sergio, respective boss and father. He’s generous and protective to a fault, but who knows how he’s going to react when one of his employees is thinking about stepping out with his daughter behind his back. Add to that, Rolland has just discovered that not all is right within the firms’ accounting files.

Hot and fast-paced with a side of suspenseful action, Ace Of Swords is another novella in the Cards Of Love series that I really enjoyed. 4.5 stars.

Sometimes when you read a novella you never know what you are going to get because of the length, but with this story, you get everything! The story of Rolland, accountant for an important man, and Tatiana, the daughter, is steamy and entertaining. Rolland knows he shouldn't mess around with Tatiana, but after meeting her, he doesn't know how to stay away. And Tatiana doesn't make it easy on him. She has led a bit of a sheltered life and wants adventure. Can she find that with Rolland? What would her Father do? If you want to know, then you must read this novella!

Im loving the Cards of Love series and this is one of my favourites so far.
Ace of Swords is a fast paced 4 star novella.
Rolland and Tatiana's story had me binge reading all of it in a couple of hours and thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
Their story of Insta attraction and giving in to temptation when you know you could loose everything kept me glued to my kindle.
Ace of Swords is definitely a buy/borrow asap novella.
I loved the last chapter as she was finally able to spread those wings and fly away and make a difference.

I loved this addition to the Cards of Love series. The characters were well written and the plotline developed. And, as this is a Nora Flite novel, the heat level is right up there b/c Rolland and Tatiana are drawn to each other like moths to a flame and their chemistry is off the charts (despite Rolland trying to keep her at arms length). What happens when you can no longer fight Fate? You jump right in with both feet and your whole heart. Definitely check out this book!

A fantastic first read from this author. I thoroughly enjoyed reading, and loved the whole chemistry, insta love, forbidden fruit between Rolland and Tatiana. The scenes between them is burning hot from the word go, so make sure you have a wee change of knickers ;)

The ending was a lovely touch, and I like the moral of not judging a book by the cover, as people are not always what you think they are.

Definitely will be reading more from this author.

I finally had the time to read the book and I couldn't stop reading Rolland and Tatiana's story. It has everything I love in the story. Sometimes opposites attract and in this case the chemistry was off the charts. Tatiana is exactly what Rolland needed. I also loved the tarot reading aspect. It's quite fascinating! I hope there's more to come! #mustread

This book is part of the Cards of Love Series (written by different authors). I haven't read the other books in the Series yet. I loved Rolland and Tatiana's story. They share an undeniable chemistry. This novella, beautifully written, was hot and fast-paced. Nora Flite never disappoints. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Genius Love 🧠❤

I really enjoyed reading this cards of love book. The These authors story was hot. It was very steamy with a hot genius. Also with a stubborn girl. Rolland is a master at numbers. But he needed little help with his emotions. Tatiana is a protected girl. The back and forth between these two was crazy. But it lead to some very steamy scenes. 🔥🔥

Rolland is always focused on business and Sergio hopes this party will loosen him up a bit. No such luck. Mingling with the wealthy crowd, Rolland quickly finds himself out of place, that is, until he meets a beautiful, exciting and mysterious woman. This woman is like no woman he has ever met. Rolland is quite taken with her. He's having trouble controlling his attraction. It's only after he's in too deep that he finds out who his mystery woman really is. But that's only part of the problem. Tatiana is pure temptation. She's perfect for Rolland but she's also the boss's daughter.
