Every year my brother gets me a birthday book, and the past year was so hectic he said that he thought a fun lighthearted book was in order. I’d agree, this book is fun and lighthearted. It’s fast to get through, funny, and a good little adventure. I’m sure kids would enjoy more than adults, and in this case the movie was much better.
I left this movie feeling tranquil and cathartic. Add that to my love of novelizations, and this seemed like a no-brainer. While it was nice to move through this story again, it doesn't really work without the images. Plus, I will never understand the policy of abruptly ending the book before the story concludes. it's always weird and jarring.
