Taylor Holloway is a bestselling romance author who writes sweet and sexy stories with just enough of an edge to offset all the feels. Her books are specifically Taylor-ed to make you blush, cry, laugh, and swoon. She's an Austin native with a penchant for bad puns, strong margaritas, expensive shoes, and shiny things. When she's not writing, she's working a hilariously bland corporate job, spoiling her husband and cat, or going for long walks in the dark.

I enjoyed this one much more than Cole's book.
For one... no damn flashbacks ; )

Anyways, Lucas is going to sell his dating app for a lot of money to the company Rae works for. One of those big soul sucking corporations that buys things and sucks the life out of them.
He wants the money to help win back his ex girlfriend Victoria, who couldn't care less... and maybe never did care.
Then he meets Rae and she kinda reminds him of Victoria and circumstances take a weird shimmy. Next thing you know he and Rae have an agreement that he will only work with her for selling his app and she will pretend to be his girlfriend to make Victoria jealous. ...cause that always works right?!?

There's a host of side characters that lend charm and appeal, including a lonely rock star.

Of course the 'fake' relationship starts to feel real, really fast. But it wasn't awkward and Rae and Lucas are pretty good at communicating. The evil corporation tries to throw a spanner in the works but that worked out in a funny OTT weird way too.

Anyways, it was a fun read.

Taylor Holloway's Lie with Me is another flawless story as book #3 of the Lone Star Lover Series. This storyline focuses on Lucas from the college bro trio of Ward, Cole, and Lucas. Ward owns a popular bar. Cole own several BMW dealerships, and Lucas is a software genius. He is about to sell his latest matchmaking app to a company. First they send out an investigation team to go over his records, etc.
Leading this team is Rae who Lucas sees as someone he can use to make his ex girlfriend want to get back with him. Rae agrees.
Professional and personal issues arise. How will Rae handle both? How will Lucas react to when girlfriend shows up?
Recommendation: I really liked this story. It flowed evenly from chapter to chapter and it engaged me right from the start. The characters were well developed and dynamic. Even though I knew most of them, some are still evolving.
I'm excited to see that another storyline was begun between rockstar Jason and original bar owner's granddaughter, Wendy who is now waitressing at the bar. So in conclusion, grab your popcorn and get comfy as you read this book for your reading pleasure and enjoyment.

My favorite out of the three books in this series about Lucas, the nerd who develops an app for finding a mate and Rae who is sent to buy and help Lucas grow his company, promoting the app. Lucas has other plans when he sees Rae, so he makes a deal, pretend to be his girlfriend to make his ex jealous and win her back. It’s a great deal for both parties until Rae starts to feel more for him and when her company decides to mess with his company, she can either go along with the bad deal or tell Lucas which will have her fired...what will she do.
I loved this read and I adored Lucas, the quirky man to me with a soft heart and an obsession for a woman who is all wrong for him. Rae was a ray of sunshine, I loved her wit, strength and no holds barred attitude. I loved these two together, their communication and honest talks about what they felt and thought was refreshing. The read also held a couple of surprises for me, when I thought something would happen the author would surprise me in the best way. The story flowed beautifully, there were a few laughs that had me chuckling and the steam was just right, making this my favorite from this author out of all her books.

4.5 stars. So I quite liked this book with a great cast of characters that are all pretty decently developed. I was a little unsure of the H character at times, as his inner ramblings contradicted the way the other characters perceived him- now while this is true in real life to an extent- the various characteristics and history didn't all seem to mesh. The plot was pretty good, a little predictable at times, but had a nice exciting twist at the end that I enjoyed. I should also mention there were some funny dialogue and some of the scenes. This is the 3rd book in a series yet is standalone- but you do see the earlier couples in relationships that have progressed. The final epilogue (there were three) was from a third character to introduce his next book, which looks like it could be pretty good. Overall, a pretty good and interesting story. *I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Lucas will do anything to get back together with his ex, Victoria. Even propose a fake relationship with, Rae, a woman who is trying to buy Lucas' new app so her company can help it grow. What will happen when Rae has a hard time drawing the line at fake? What will happen when Victoria texts Lucas and wants to see him? Will Rae be able to keep her company's change of heart from Lucas, will she betray him, or will her heart win in the end? This book is filled with feels, it had me smiling and tearing up. A great book makes you feel something and this is the definition of a great book. Sometimes in the path to get what we want, we find what we need instead. Enjoy!

This group of friends have their hands full for sure, and when their partners come into the picture, things get dicey. Lucas has been pining after Victoria for years and believes he’s still in love with her and they’ll make it if they get another chance together. When he meets Rae, he gets a sudden idea to fake a relationship to make Victoria jealous...boy does that happen, that lady is crazy. This also brings in a new friend to the group and sparks fly and second chances re possibilities for those two. Cannot wait to see what happens with them.

Lucas is still in love with Victoria after 18 months. When a company decides to purchase his dating app. He makes the head of the acquisitions a proposition, be his fake girlfriend to make Victoria jealous. Rae agrees to this but both their feelings get confused. Cole and Ward are there to tell him the truth about how Bad Victoria really was. Rae can’t keep her feelings hid. Lucas gets in over his head. This is another fabulous book in this series. Happy to read Emma and Ward finally get married! I hope we get to read about Jason and Wendy next! A must read!

Great read! This was my first story by this author and I really enjoyed it. I also really love how the next book is set up for you in the epilogue to this one. Definitely looking forward to that book. This book doesn't say it's part of a series, but Lucas's two best friends have their own books that were released before this one. I'll be looking into those soon. This book is set up and sold as a standalone. But if you're like me, you like to know about all of your characters, so reading Cole and Wade's stories first will help you to do that. Don't fret you aren't left out or confused by not having read the previous books. Awesome job! Looking forward to more! Voluntary review of an advanced reader's copy via booksprout.

Good book

Taylor Holloway is a clever, talented author this story.of Lucas the genius hot nerd who is good friends with Ward, Emma, Cole and Kate from the previous books invents a dating app that works. He plans to sell it to a company that will develop and market it for a pile of money. That is where he meets Rae. Instant attraction but Lucas still thinks he loves and needs a mean ex. In the process of having Rae pretend to be his girlfriend (to make the ex jealous). They fall in love but he is confused. The story has enough twists and turns to keep you rooting for the couple to realize they should be together. This series of books is So good! I would not have found it without !y Prime membership. I will continue to buy more of Taylor Holloway 's books cause she is a really great writer.

Rae and Lucas are my second favorite couple from this author. Lucas comes up with the "perfect" plan to get his ex back. Rae is just trying to do her job, and advance in her career. Everything goes according to plan, with a few exceptions. Great story, and I can't wait to see what this author does next

An inconvenient merger becomes an acquisition of the heart. Holloway has a gift for creating flawed characters with more pride than sense. For Lucas and Rae emotions were never part of the equation. He needed her help to win back an ex. She needed his app to help her business. Their deal seemed a convenient solution until emotions got in the way. Lie With Me goes beyond the foolish pride and delves deep into the flaws that make us human. Holloway makes it easy to fall in love.

It was so good to see Lucas finally happy. This book goes with the theory that sometimes what we think we want is totally wrong for us but we dont know that until we have messed up what is right.
Good book and love to see the characters from the first two books still happy and loving each other.

Ward, Cole, and Lucas attended University of Texas on football scholarships and were roommates through college. Lucas was a genius who was misdiagnosed with a fatal heart murmor and had to quit football to fight for his life, while Ward and Cole went on to play pro ball. Now after retiring from their football careers, Holloway has written their love stories. LIE WITH ME tells the third story of Lucas selling his second big app to a NY firm who comes to Austin to begin their due diligence study. He talks Rae, leader of the four from the firm, into being his fake girl friend in order to win back his ex Victoria, who saved him from depression after he learned as a college student he wasn't doomed to sudden death. This book features the three of the guys and their loves and is another winner by Holloway!

Taylor Holloway has a number one on her hands with Lie With Me. I love romance books and she has just delivered a superbly written one. This is, by far, my absolute favorite book from Ms. Holloway, as well as a must-read. If you love romance as much as I do, I can guarantee that you will enjoy every word, from cover to cover. This isn't just another installment to the Lone Star series... This is perfection. You have to follow along as Lucas and Rae find themselves facing a whole lot more then they bargained for.

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Lie With Me in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion. Having read her work before, I can 100% say I am incredibly impressed with not only this storyline but the well-crafted characters. Wonderful Job.

Lucas wants his ex Victoria back and will do whatever it takes to get her even if that means entering into a fake relationship to make her jealous. Rae needs to get Lucas to agree to allow her company to work with hs new app and if pretending to be his fake girlfriend helps then that is what she will do. Now real emotion is developing between them Can Lucas love her when he still has feeling for his ex How can Rae tell him her company has changed their mind about his app Do they have any chance to turn their fake relationship into a real one. Once again Taylor Holloway has written a wonderful story that keeps you enthralled to the very last page
