Falling for the Bride by Rachel Taylor a five-star read you will fall for. This is a Sweet Bay Novella and what an adorably sweet read, I was such a big fan of Tessa wasn’t my favourite character when we briefly met her in Dating her Billionaire Boss, but she blew me away in this book, even I was falling for her by the end. What starts as an un-completable task becomes something special. I must say I adore Josh even if he does have terrible taste in t-shirts, his realisation of life just made him feel like a real person. Rachel Taylor writes sweet and honest romance and will make you fall in love with the place of Sweet Bay and all of the people who live in the beautiful area.
This story was okay, but a bit odd. Sad lonely guy loses job and slinks home to be best man at his brother's wedding. It's a double wedding for the sisters. Sad guy dumped other sister before leaving to go to the big city. Now he's best man and helping her plan a wedding to a guy he doesn't like, all done in a week. Everyone in town thinks they're back together. She's blind to it all, but opens her eyes at the end and we have a change of groom at the double wedding with the pastor noting it wasn't a surprise. I was trying to read the Sweet Bay stories in order, and this one was next. This was better than the first one, but this novella was short but not sweet. It all felt rushed, their double wedding and getting it to fit in a (free) novella. I just can't seem to warm up to this series, but will try with one last book. The billionaire screen star friend of the billionaire bad boy that came home to build the resort stays in the resort, kinda hiding out next book. One of the bridesmaids in this book, who is a newspaper reporter, pretends to be a maid to get the scoop on him. Not sure how that's gonna work out. The reporter was not a good character here. She was introduced as a ruthless reporter, so not good. Our Heroine of this story, was the snobby owner of the employment agency that couldn't find anyone to work at the new billionaire's resort from the first book. Her character wasn't likable then as she was outright rude to a paying customer who was trying to bring her business. Now suddenly I'm suppose to feel for her as she's planning a rush wedding and gets confused about her grooms. In my opinion, the author needs some more feedback from a readers group to edit the books, so they flow into each other better as a series. Make several characters less sharp, so they aren't so annoying if we're suppose to like them. Needs work. Only reading the next as I'm curious about the rich actor friend hiding out, just hate that he's being spied on by a reporter pretending to be his maid. If it's as bad as the first books, I won't read anymore in the series, even if they are free on kindle unlimited. Not worth it.
Employment agency owner Tessa Mason agrees to plan a double wedding for herself and her sister Meg after Meg gets engaged too. Junior ad executive Joshua Andrews moved to the city to pursue his dream but comes home for his brother Mark's wedding to Meg. Josh finds out it's a double wedding and the other bride is his ex Tess, who he never stopped loving. Tess wonders if she's settling for Brendan because she can’t have what she really wants, her ex Josh. Josh wonders if he still has a shot with Tess and decides to find out. Who will Tess marry, Brendan or Josh?
Falling For the Bride is a fun, sweet and angsty second chance romance that will have you rooting for Tess and Josh
This was such a sweet story that had great characters. The story was hard to put down. Tessa was a woman that was engaged and meets up with her ex-boyfriend. The sparks fly when Josh and Tessa meet up again after several years apart. Josh recently lost his job and is re-evaluating his life and after finding out that Tessa is getting married, he feels like he missed out. I love how Josh and Tessa interact throughout the book. Will Tessa settle for second best or follow her heart? Will Josh figure out his priorities before it's too late. I recommend this book to those that like second chances and sweet clean romance.
This clean read about Tessa and Joshua will make you believe in second chances. Not everyone gets a second chance, so when you do, you grab it and run with it, lol. Tessa’s sister, Meg, is marrying Josh’s brother, Mark. When they ask for Tessa’s help in the planning and Meg wants a double wedding with her sister, Brandon and Tessa agree to get married too. Josh has lost his job, so he decides to go and help with the wedding planning. No spoilers, so grab your copy and see how this plays out.
Clean wholesome romance. I love second chance stories like this! Uber sweet story between two neighbors who were childhood sweethearts but broke up to follow their own dreams. Time passes and the fulfillment of their dreams weren’t all that they had thought it would be like. Circumstances throw them together again years later. Much to her surprise, Tessa finds the one guy who will to treat her like a queen. So what if he isn’t the man she is marrying in a few days. Fun story!
This a fast paced sweet romance, packed to the brim with feelings and ressentiments. As usual, with this author books, I was lost in action, not able to put the book down. Perfect scenario of this time hold: an ”good for nothing”, love, strategy and organisation, taking on opportunity and dashing for the thing that you want the most. How to not love it?
Cute premise for a double wedding story. Unfortunately it was awfully hard to believe anyone would get married in a week with a huge last minute wedding to someone you had to coerce into asking to marry you in the first place! Little missing details (marriage license for one) diminished my enjoyment.
Sweet an Satisfying. Set in the small town of Sweet Bay this is a real feel good story, where everything turns out right in the end. I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book from the author (newsletter subscriber freebie). All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Great romantic tale in the new Sweet Bay Brides' series from Rachel. Wonderful characters & an ending to warm the cockles of your heart! Loved it - highly recommend this sweet novella.
This is such a great story! I love the characters, the town, and especially the dog! The author’s style of writing is so easy to read. I can’t wait to read more in this series.
What a great book! Childhood sweethearts Josh and Tessa lost their way, let their careers get in the way, and lost touch with one another. Well in the small town of Sweet Bay everyone knows one another and when Tessa’s sister decides to get married in a week, Tessa and Brendan, with some pushing from her sister to make it a double wedding, finally set the date. One problem; Tessa’s sister is marrying Josh’s brother. So back to Sweet Bay comes Josh. He has lost his job in the big city and his brother asks him to help Tessa plan the wedding. All of these years apart they thought they could live without each other. But Tessa is marrying someone else and Josh thinks he can’t find a job in this little town that will fulfill his dreams. Rachel Taylor hits it out of the park with another Sweet Bay Romance.
This is the first book I have read by Racheal Taylor. As I hadn’t read any previous books In this series I had no expectations about Tessa, also this really can be read as a stand alone book. This was one of those beautiful romance stories that many people may be able to relate to. The what if’s in life, the second chance one could wish they had. I engaged with both characters from the very beginning, I enjoyed the different chapters from both of the main characters POV. The saying you never truly realise what you have lost until it’s gone fits this storyline perfectly... I don’t like leaving spoilers. However I can say, the realism of emotions was able to enter my own heart, which to me is a blessing of an ability for an author to have, otherwise it’s just a story. I like to be transported away, while reality disappears around me, I like to feel invested in the characters storylines, I’m a sucker for romance. Falling for the Bride, did all this and so much more. Sweet Bay. Even the that name conjures up barmy evenings, rolling fields with a community who care for each other... I could move there tomorrow. Thank you Racheal Taylor, you gave me a lovely book with betrayal but forgiveness, tears and laughter, stress and realisation. You melted my world away and my heart was left in a puddle?i will definitely look forward to reading more from this author.
This is Falling for the Bride written by Rachel Taylor. It’s a short story set in her book town of Sweet Bay. It’s a wonderful story of lost love and rekindling old flames. Super sweet!
