Ember Gray dreams of escaping the only world she’s ever known, the Chrome Crusaders Motorcycle Club, until tragedy strikes and she’s trapped with her malicious stepmother and two stepsisters. Confined to the house every night by midnight, Ember is subjected to their constant abuse with no way out.
Cruz Jackson takes what he wants when he wants it. As president of the Nevada chapter of the Chrome Crusaders, he lives for the moment total freedom, no rules, and no regrets.
Sparks fly at an MC wedding when best man Cruz is paired with Ember, the maid of honor. Enticed by her sharp tongue and perfect body he can’t resist anything about her, but before he can seal the deal, Ember takes off without warning leaving behind a studded black stiletto.
Armed with one of her shoes, Cruz sets off to find the woman who captivates his soul but gets more than he bargained for when he’s thrown into chaos, conspiracy, and murder.
Will he toss his club loyalties to the wind to save Ember or does it all end at midnight?
Romance author by night, pharmacist by day, Amy Gale loves rock music and the feel of sand between her toes. She attended Wilkes University where she graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. In addition to writing, she enjoys baking, scary movies, rock concerts, and reading books at the beach. She lives in the lush forest of Northeastern Pennsylvania with her husband, six cats, and golden retriever.
This was a great little novella. I would classify it in the "insta-love" category similar to Alexa Riley or Fiona Davenport stories. Ember grew up in an MC and when her father dies, she ends up stuck with her Step-mom and step-sisters. Mine Before Midnight is a "modern-day Cinderella" story with a slightly taboo twist. Ember is barely 18 and the older president of another chapter really fancies her. Will Cruz Jackson help Ember out of a tragedy or will he just use her? This story has it all: sexy times, hot bikers, some dark elements, and a good amount of grit. I enjoyed this book! 4 stars!
This book had you hooked from the first sentence till the end. Amy Gale gives us a super macho man with a heart in Cruz. Never lived up to her name smoldering fire that will burn anyone that hurts those she loves.
