Sadly, Pepper was not born a shifter. She dreams of being adopted (or mated) by one, but until such a glorious day arrives, she consoles herself by writing about shifters instead.

Either that, or she really IS a shifter and is just pretending NOT to be a shifter, to protect her people.

Whether the former or the latter is anyone's guess, but either way, she's living her absolute best possible shifter-life.

Cole is a cougar shifter who doesn't believe in witches or magic. So, when he meets his mate, he's surprised by her insistence that she's a witch and that a love spell brought them together. Now he's out to prove magic isn't real while she plans to show him that it is. What can go wrong?!?

I really enjoyed this book which is second in the series. It's well-written and has wonderful characters. This was a quick, fun read with a sweet romance. I was drawn into this captivating story from the beginning and kept hooked throughout. I'm looking forward to the next book and highly recommend this one.

This one was a bit frustrating because the shifters were being willfully ignorant and her sisters were being irresponsible! Glad it ended well.
