Legoshi and the killer circle each other in a volume that amounts to so much treading of water. There's a nowhere side story for one of the side characters and an entire chapter built around a cheap cross-dressing gag.

It's past time to wrap up the murder mystery and start addressing the core relationships from another angle.

BEASTARS Volume 10 once again blows me away. The art is fantastic and the story is dramatic. In this volume, Louis struggles with the life of being a mob king while Legoshi has a spat with a certain carnivore (the one revealed to be Tem's killer in the previous volume). Carnivores let their teeth and claws show in this one! Legoshi might not be able to tell anyone who did it, but the "seeds of hatred" are established between the two, and an intense conflict has presented itself between the two carnivores.

What about Haru, you ask? She's there! She gets a bit of spotlight. While earlier volumes seemed to focus on the relationship between Haru and Legoshi, as the volumes continue, it's more about Legoshi's own growth as an individual. The reader also gets a nice snippet of his past that is quite interesting.

A great volume. I can't wait for the next one!

As Louis embraces his position as the head of the local black market, Legoshi gets into a heated fight with possible murder suspect Ria the bear while later learning about valuing life whether you’re an animal or insect. We get to learn about Gohin’s past and how Legoshi will pay a very unexpected visit. A (100%/Outstanding)

Mi primera lectura del año no podía ser otra que mis queridos furros, ya que en cuanto sale un tomo nuevo, se convierte en mi prioridad lectora número 1.

Un décimo tomo (relativamente) más de transición, con dos capítulos de acción desenfrenada, un par de momentos hilarantes, algo de background de personajes menos habituales como Pina, Gohin e Ibiki, y sobre todo, un nuevo peldaño en el camino de madurez personal que Legoshi recorre.

Además, el arte de Itagaki se ve cada vez más y más depurado. Las escenas están más pensadas, los ángulos más buscados y la narrativa más elaborada. Los enfrentamientos en este tomo son unas 40 sublimes hojas donde la tensión es palpable y las diferencias animalescas muy visuales.

Ay, como me gustan mis furros. El onceavo promete un vaivén de emociones. A finales de Febrero veremos.

Wow! The direction of this series continues to just make me so happy. The conflict between Legoshi and Tem's Murderer continues to hear up within this volume, and we get a special moment with Haru as well. Can't wait for the next one!

Ci avviciniamo al finale di stagione dell’anime, e ql nonsense che questo ha portato con sé. Ho trovato questo volume molto più sensato dell’anime, alcune. cose sono diverse e molte sono spiegate meglio, come ad esempio il rifiuto di Legoshi di denunciare Liz. Continuo a trovarla una scelta un po’ poco realistica, ma qui viene spiegato bene e più volte il perché.

This was SO GOOD. Honestly, Beastars tackles so many subjects at once, I don't see how anyone could not take an interest in it. This manga is very interesting from a vegetarian's perspective, it makes you think ;). Beastars is about ethics, one's sense of justice, adolescence, the different forms love can take, segregation and coming together, (childhood) trauma, addiction - yeah, all that! And more.

This relationship between Louis and Legosi is really something... I wonder how it's all going to work out.

Esta serie me sigue sorprendiendo de manera muy grata. Me di cuenta que los mangas que más me gustan actualmente son los que se atreven a salirse de su género establecido y llevan la serie por las líneas que el autor desea explorar, volviendo la serie dinámica. Ejemplos de eso serían A promised neverland, Bwastars y Ataque de los Titanes. Nunca nadie hubiera esperado el giro que dio Ataque de los Titanes por allá del tomo 20 donde se animó a explorar el conflicto entre Eldia y Marley de lleno.
Beastars es un gran ejemplo también ya que el manga comienza con el asesinato de Tem. De ahí se va un poco por el tema del club de teatro y los conflictos internos de Legoshi y Louis. Luego gira también y Legoshi se entrena. Otro giro y descubren quién fue el asesino. Este tomo da un giro más y se vuelve un manga de peleas por un par de tomos. Hasta que la autora decida cambiarlo todo de nuevo. Llevo varios tomos sin saber qué esperar al empezar a leer.
Este tomo está cargado de cosas. Tenemos buena evolución en Pina, Legoshi y Louis. Son los personajes principales y es bueno verlos evolucionar.
Tenemos revelaciones muy interesantes sobre el pasado de Legoshi. Específicamente por su abuelo materno. También nos revelan el destino de la mamá de Legoshi y que no sabemos nada de lo que pasó, que seguramente se explorará más adelante.
Tenemos una emocionante escena de pelea entre Liz y Legoshi, además de conocer también un poco sobre la personalidad oscura de Liz.
Una escena con Haru y Legoshi que es tierna aunque sentí que era lo más deficiente del tomo ya que ya habíamos visto estas interacciones entre ellos antes.
El final del tomo te deja con un cliff hanger moderado para el siguiente tomo.
También vemos en este tomo, en el primer capítulo, más detalles sobre el mercado clandestino. Lo que vimos en este tomo y lo que aprendemos sobre la mano derecha de Louis me lleva a pensar también que la autora todavía tiene varios ases bajo la manga y que nos va a sorprender después. En este tomo me di cuenta qué tan perturbador puede llegar a ser esta serie realmente y que parecía que la autora se había estado moderando pero que poco a poco nos va a ir soltando más y más cosas perturbadoras.

-Enjoyed this volume a lot more than I thought I would, considering how I’ve been feeling that the story is at a stand still.
-It is kind of a filler volume but I liked that we got to see Louis and Ibuki grow closer and gain more respect for each other. Louis is settled in his role as the Shishi-gumi boss and putting “school boy affairs” behind him (he tosses his phone off the balcony when Haru calls him; he tells Legoshi he’s not coming to witness his fight with Riz)
-Pina’s growing on me a little.
- Legoshi meeting up with Louis in a feminine disguise was hilarious especially because of Ibuki’s shock and disgust (“I can get the boss a cuter female.”
- Idk if I care about Legoshi and Riz’s battle. Just call the police on him like Louis said. Legoshi has a serious hero complex.
-I want to see more about Legoshi’s reptile grandpa! I wasn’t expecting that. He seems cool lol.
-I would like to see Haru and Legoshi’s relationship become serious already. I want to see how their dynamic would change if they went to the next level.

A veces me pregunto qué tiene en la cabeza Itagaki o a dónde quiere ir a parar. Y esto no es un punto negativo: Beastars es una serie que me hace reflexionar sobre muchas cosas, sobre la condición del hombre y la relación con su entorno, sobre el arte como herramienta exclusivamente humana, sobre la bondad animal, sobre las amistades que vamos haciendo a lo largo de la vida...
Los personajes de Beastars son sólidos y se ganan un lugar en nuestro cariño a cada tomo que pasa, incluyendo a los más despreciables o siniestros (que acaban revelándose en contra de nuestros prejuicios e, incluso, de su propia "naturaleza"). Y el humor, como siempre, sano y maravilloso. Más, por favor.

We get to know Pina more and his role as the grim reaper parallels the current dilemma of herbivores knowing someone in drama club ate another member. He gets to make an impactful speech on stage about the right to take a life. We met a Tibetan sand fox aka a stone-faced fox in therapy for suppressed emotions. Legoshi fights Riz in the locker room; they get interrupted and the fight is postponed to the next volume.

There is more to uncover about the inner workings of the black market and Gohan’s role in rehabilitating carnivores who would otherwise be imprisoned for eating herbivores.

Also the one wear Legoshi wears high heels.

This was another really good volume showcasing the build up between Legoshi and Riz, as well as showing another side of the black market. Not entirely sure what will happen after everything, but it's quite interesting!

Ngl, this is turning more and more into a typical shounen type plot (esp Legoshi's arc) and I'm not really into that.

Legoshi and Riz's fight was interrupted yet again due to unforeseen circumstances. Now, they both promised to settle the score once and for all on New Year's Eve. The scene where Legoshi disguised himself as a female was funny.

This was an odd mix of stories, some I really enjoyed (Tao and Kibi, Ibuki, Legoshi's grandfather) and some I felt lukewarm about (the dress) and a few that I unsure of what to think off (tibet wolf girl, moth).
