DUI: Drowning Under The Influence of You

Rate this book
Have you ever been so submerged in a person's love that you felt like you were drowning? It's almost like you're being smothered by their entire existence. Tyme was overwhelmed with trouble. Her dilemma was so dark and disheartening that she didn't know if she would be able to persevere. That is until she meets Quillon. His assertiveness and confidence is what attracts her to him. Quillon's way with words and dominating personality draws her under his spell, but she soon realizes that it's not what she expected. Quillon has always been determined to get what he wants. If his mind is fixed on it, then it's practically his. Tyme was no different but his yearning to have her has turned into a jeopardous obsession.

On top of his pursuit to have Tyme, Quillon possesses some veiled trappings that may interfere with his tactic to be with her. Tyme is in too deep with nowhere to turn. She figures out that Quillon's quest to get her was all a ploy for his desired fantasy. He's placed her in a position that is too difficult to walk away from. Tyme's terrified that there's no escape plan, no release under his dangerous grip. She desperately wants to walk away but she's unknowingly opened Pandora's Box.

Will Tyme be freed from Quillon's deathly hold or will she fall victim to his guileful intentions?

Omg, nonStop drama

This story was juicy from start to finish. I most def need part 2 like right now.
5 stars for keeping me up at night and for keeping me totally engaged. I love Tymes strength, to me its rare that a young women is written with drive oppose to hanging off the arm of a man....cheers for that. Now bring me part 2?

Charae I truly hope you've already started on part 2. My first question is where is Joe and did Sandy's scandalous ass do something to him?! Lawd I don't know how you came up with Quillon crazy ass but he needs to seek help for his mental issues. Dude was doing the most just because he felt he could. Myka gave an all new meaning to being weak. She was mad at Tyme for something she didn't even have control over. I loved how Tyme was willing to go above and beyond to make things comfortable for her dad. She did more than her share without complaining. Jamie was indeed a great friend and I hope he finds a way out of his situation. If only there were truly more men like Demeko! He was in his feelings for a quick second but I'm glad he helped Tyme after learning the truth. On the real, Marlene ain't sh**! She's probably been brainwashing Quillon for the longest and I wonder just who the friend she was referring to really is. I swear I need part 2 soon because Tyme can't seem to catch a break and just when she seems to be getting back on her feet.

Amazing

This book was absolutely amazing so well written.. IDK if Ms. Lewis has experienced this or it was just all from her mind but she definitely nailed it.. From start to finish I couldn't put it down.. Quillon was another type of crazy.. I didn't like Myka but I didn't hate her either.. As Tyme pointed out she was dumb 4 staying but at tha same time he was bat 💩 crazy.. Quillon went thru great lengths to make Tyme dependant on him.. I'm so glad she fought him every step of the way.. So far Demeko 😍😍😍😍 I really like his character and he seems very genuine.. Marlene Sandy a**es are both a trip and a half and pure evil..smhI do hope they both make it out if this situation alive.. Great Job Charae.. This was my 1st read by u and now I'm off to read the others..

Poor little Tyme thought she had found her a good guy Mr. Quillion but he had a nasty secret. He was so twisted in the head thinking he could have two women under the same ruff. Baby he was dead wrong because it was like oil and water it just won't mix! Tyme never gave up because she was a fighter and did anything possible to get out that house. These men out here will sell you a dream and that's all it will every be.

DUI just too much

The hero in this story was borderline psychotic, and the heroine was not much better. How does one go into a relationship with so little facts about a man and just roll with it? So when the hero showed who he was the first time, the heroine should have believed him. Stupid!

This book brings a whole new twist to relationships in the Urban fiction world. Matter of fact a new look on how you can be manipulated into love. Tyme is already struggling to stay a float, but nothing is going her way. Dealing with illness, school and bills she can't catch a break. Yet there is always Prince Charming to save the day or so we thought. Quillon has a hidden agenda, what he doesn't realize that he got life Fudge up😂😂😂. In fact when things are not going his way he turns into an evil villian, but even the strong survive. The story has a very intriguing plot. You start to ask how is he going to pull this off, is she really going for this, where they do that at. The author really dug into her creative crate and did a very good job bringing together.

Wow

This book is something else. Quillon is crazy to think it's okay to have two women. Myka she definitely did not have no type of backbone. Quillon mom she worse then her son she knew that she told Myka to do that plan b to Tyme but ofc she gonna make it seem like she did it on her own. I really wonder what is wrong with Quillon and why is he so set on having two women. Demeko woooo he is awesome. I am glad he came to help Tyme. Sandy she is another one why wouldn't you tell Tyme what happened to her dad why keep that from her or why wouldn't you allow her to see him. I can't wait to see what happens in part 2

I went to Google to find me a "Tyme". My Quillon was Lloyd Banks. Demeko was the son that got married in Jumping the Broom (Lazare Alonso) and Myka was Candace from Haves and Have Nots. Dina Demeko's mother was (Valerie Pettiford)....
Now on to the book. Charae thanks so much for having me in my feelings the entire book. This book was intense, in depth, and realistic. I loved that it was not predictable. I saw the cover and knew then I was one clicking. I didn't even read the synopsis.
I'm anxiously awaiting part 2.

OMG

How could you end it like that? Like omg, I can't wait for part 2. I felt like the beginning was slow but once I was ready to call it quits something was telling me to keep reading. I'm glad I did because Quillon ass is crazy and deranged as fuck. But his cousin is straight cool. I pray that Tyme is able to cope with the loss of her dad. Her aunt was wrong as fuck for what she did.

Mannnn!!

This book was so good!! My first read from this author and she did NOT disappoint!! My heart raced throughout the story as Tyme went on her rollercoaster ride. I desperately wanted her to find out just how cunning and calculated Quillon was to her downfall, but she still doesn't know yet. I am hoping her and Demeko get together and he keeps her safe as promised...the ending was sad given the fact that Tyme LOVED Joe...part 2 PLEASE hurry!!

Damn good book

I feel so bad for tyme she has been delt nothing but a bad hand her whole life. Tyme had a big heart and it seems like its constantly getting ran over. Her dad was her life so for her crazy ass aunt not to tell her he died is really messed up. Demako is a breath of fresh air for her you can tell he really likes her. Mikya is stupid for letting quillion treat her the way that he has. She has no back bone so he will continue to run over her. Cant wait for part 2

Good book

I absolutely hate Quillon. He needs some serious help. He is so sinister, selfish, and controlling. I loved Tyme's innocence. Quillon turned her world upside down. I felt so sorry for her because she was already living in hell and Quillon was nothing but the devil himself. Demeko was just what he needed, I loved his character also. Aunt Sandy was just trifling and I hated the way the story ended. I know Tyme is about to be devastated.

I hate Quillon! His ass is crazy. Like he don't even make no sense. But I love Demeko with his smooth ass. I'm glad him and Tyler got together and I hope Demeko whoop his ass.

I wonder if Myka and Joe are still alive. Myka should have tossed her phone. She had to know Quillon was tracking it. And Joe shoulda never let Sandy take over his care.

I feel like this was a long prologue. It just feels like the next book is where shit pops off.

Very goid

I usually try to wait till all books are out when it's a series. I don't like the wait. I didn't have anything to read, so I saw this. This was so good. The way the story went I'm thinking book 2 should be it. Demeko and Tyme together was a good thing. QUILLION is pure evil!!!

Quillion is a very sick individual. I felt sorry for Tyme the whole time. Tyme was delt a bad hand. I hate how Tyme's aunt kept her from her dad. Myka needed to grow a backbone a long time ago. Can't wait for part 2.

Great job Charae

I couldn't stand Quillion, I can't believe the things that he did. I felt so bad for tyme, she really didn't deserve none of that. I loved her and Jamie's friendship...he was really looking out for his girl. Quillion mama is just as crazy as he is. I loved Demeko

Great Read

Tyme so young and naive but she's strong. I'm hoping her & Demeko or her & Jamie can form a relationship. Karma gonna hit Sandy, Myka, Marlene and Quillon so hard. I can't stand them. Can't wait to see what happens in book 2.
