Winter Tyson was looking for revenge. Her targets were substitutes for the one who’d hurt her emotionally. She lives for the hunt. Her victims have no idea she’s coming. The one thing driving her is her mistrust of men. The truth will set her free. She finally has the chance to even the score. Infiltrating his company will be her closure. Exposing his corruption will be the final nail in his coffin. The past defined her. The present will make her fall for him all over again. Does love stand a chance over her need for revenge? Marshall Lyons has skeletons in his closet. He’s not proud of some of the things he has done in business. Ruthless is his middle name. He can have any woman with a look. His conquests are fleeting. The one rule of thumb is to never get invested. His new assistant makes him crave to touch her. One look from her overwhelms him with feelings of lust and desire. He wants to taste the forbidden fruit of her innocence. His life is about the art of the deal. He knows how to manipulate. What happens when he meets his match? How far will he go to exact his pound of flesh when he learns the truth?
A wonderfully well written second chance romance. Winter needs to decide if the revenge she is consumed with issuing is needed more than a relationship with Marshall. Smooth flowing storyline with interesting relatable characters.
This was an alright read. I thought the story was okay, but could have better executed. Also, I thought the characters were okay. I did not love them nor dislike them. I just was not very interested in them. I wish there was more of a background story for them. The ending was good. Overall, an okay read.
This storyline was a good idea; however, the writing needs refinement. The author needs a new editor to help her avoid clunky language, unnatural dialogue and overuse of idioms and clichéd phrases. There are attempts at character development but the book is too short to explore any of this in depth. And I either missed the explanation for some things (and can't bear to read through the book again to find them) or weren't explained-- e.g., did Winter actually do any work for Marshall and how did she know Jensen anyway? It also occurred to me that we might not really know Winter's name-- Jensen says she is a ghost and her resume is a "house of cards." It also occurred to me that Winter would be the crazy psycho "ex" character in some other romances-- he was blackout drunk when they hooked up and she thought they had more?? Oh, and at the end she "instinctively" knows she is pregnant right after having sex with Marshall. Just.... no. This book showed some promise. I really hope the author finds an editor and/or mentor to help develop her ideas and avoid the writing pitfalls she encountered in this novel.

Winter Tyson lives for the kill. It’s her mission to expose the secrets of powerful men in order to destroy them. Now Winter has the opportunity to take down the man who set her on this path of retribution. Years ago he had ruined her emotionally, but now he was going down and she was going to enjoy ruining him.
Marshall Lyons was ruthless with everything in his life. He took what he wanted, greased palms when necessary, and never looked back at the carnage he left in his wake.
When they collide with each other in his office, Winter is left wondering if she wants revenge or a second chance at love. Marshall doesn’t trust Winter, but he also can’t get her out of his mind.
One part of the book left me confused. Winter receives a picture of a black rose dripping with blood. Then Marshall receives information about how she was severely beaten and that he had suggested to her ex-boyfriend to track her down. I would have liked to have these points explained better.
This is 2nd chance at love story with Winter, who had one memorable night in college with Marshall who never looks back and all the pain she suffered from it. Years later he has become a very wealthy businessman and does some very questionable things to get the deals done! Winter has made a living at getting those who deserve revenge against them so when she sees her chance to take Marshall down she does. Winter goes in undercover as his assistant and things get interesting very quickly. Things get a little confusing at the end but what goes on between them seems to take their manipulation and ruthless need for revenge to a new level. Marshall meets his match in Winter and how will they move forward? I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is a story about getting revenge and hoping for a second chance at love. Winter is a women on a mission and is obsessed with getting revenge for everything that has gone wrong in her life when it comes to powerful men. Marshall is a wealthy, ruthless businessman who can't be trusted in Winter's eyes and he needs to pay for actions. These two had a brief relationship when they were younger. Winter decides that the best way to get revenge is when she takes an undercover position at Marshall's company as his new assistant and things get pretty interesting quickly when they see each other again. Can Winter put her revenge aside and take a chance at love even though it won't be easy with her past with Marshall.
Winter has made it her mission to go after powerful men who abuse their positions to expose them. It’s to fill the whole in her heart she feels from the person who used her snd left her without a word. She’s very good at what she does but her next target is Marshall Lyons the man who hurt her. She devised a plan to get into his company and find dirt to expose him. All powerful men have Skeltons to be found. He is attracted to her not knowing they have history. His security person has found out in background check k she’s a ghost not who she says she is. She finds his password and downloads his files but her feels for him come to the surface and her has feelings for her. To see if there can be a HEA pick up a copy of the book.
I think I'm being generous rating this 3 stars. It started off really good with the heroine being a hot kick ass chick with a purpose and the male co-star a ruthless business man that made a lot of enemies along the way. Then it just kind of went adrift. The characters fell apart, the plot developed a lot of holes and gaps, and the ending was far from keeping in character. They turned into goo balls and it became confusing as to following the dialogue. I wasn't sure who was talking half the time and ended up skimming just to reach the end.
An easy 6 STARS It is too bad that there is not a 6 STAR button. There is never a dull moment in this storyline! Nikki Bloom writes so gloriously about the emotions of the main characters throughout the story. FREEZING TOUCH has everything that a great book should have. It has angst, a bit of laughter, steam, lots of emotions, and an HEA. Each character got deeply embedded into my brain and stayed for a well thought out visit. I hated to see the characters go when the book ended. It is very much worth the read!
Winter Tyson has made a career out of revenge. She exposes men for the corrupt, cheating scoundrels that they are. The day has finally arrived......Marshall Lyons wont know what hit him when she is done with him. Marshall is ruthless, manipulative and always gets what he wants, be it business or pleasure. But he thinks that he might have met his match with his new assistant.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book which i recieved as part of a book giveaway.
This book is just okay. It seems like two different stories with different characters. How do two determined, aggressive individuals suddenly become puddles of goo? Maybe I missed something. I didn’t feel much empathy for Marshall and a lot of the emotion Winter probably felt wasn’t expressed very well. Not a bad way to spend some free time. I received a free copy of this book and am leaving my honest review.
This starts out with a bang as Winter is spying and taking pics of a "happily married" senator having sex with his secretary. She digs to find the unsavoriness in people in top positions in companies mostly because of an event that happened in her past at college. Marshall Lyons was centered in the event and she wants revenge...no matter what the cost! Will Winter enact her revenge plot or will she have a change of heart? Read to find out.
This is a second chance romance that starts out as getting revenge on Marshall Lyons for something that happened to her (Winter Tyson) in college. There are places in the book that seem to have paragraphs deleted so it is choppy in spots . Hopefully this has been corrected in the published version. I still enjoyed the book.
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was really enjoying this until Jensen gave Marshall the evidence envelope. He got medical records about old fractures but nothing about the miscarriage? It seems unlikely that a strong character like Marshall would be instantly overcome by acceptance and love as well as a desire to change. Someone should have had the strength to advise the author to rewrite before inflicting the reading public with this mess.

Winter is consumed with wanting revenge and it clouds her relationship and actions. Marshall is a businessman with skeletons in his closet. Lots of drama and suspense as they come together. Does she expose his secrets? The book was a little slow for me I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
I just finished reading Freezing Touch. To be honest, it is so obvious the author never hired an editor. Not much plot at all. If you stripped away the cliches throughout the story, there’s nothing left. The story has so many gaps it was a waste of time. I’m only giving it 1 star, and that's generous.
I chose to read and review this book. I enjoy this author's work. This was a very sweet one to read. Everything was well written. I liked the interactions between Winter and Marshall. They are very relatable. We can all relate to both of them at one time in our lives I know I did . Sparks are great. I recommend it
The book started with so much Hatered that it was great; would love to know who Rachel was. But the book feels rushed and it was a shame because I LOVE IT. But can someone explain how in ONE page; One sentence, you go from pure hate, discussion, and past to 'I love you'? Will look for more of your work for sure just hope they are slower and not rushed endings.
Don’t know about Freezing, because book was hot! Second chance romance for this two who had only one night stand. This night can’t be forgotten and he is not forgiven either. Winter is on the hunt to destroy Marshall,as she did to many before. Who has more power? Nicely written! Enjoy!
Found this somewhat confusing at times. Struggled to follow the story initially. Also found it difficult to work out who was talking to who at times. However, the storyline was good despite all this.
