Não consegui gostar de nada nesse livro!
As primeiras páginas até que prendeu a minha atenção, porém conforme a trama foi se desenrolando, mais desconectada eu me sentia.
Achei os personagens extremamente irritantes, sem carisma e de certa forma bem fracos. Toda essa vibe do “mocinho” com palmadas-e-cintadas-e-quero-que-você-se-submeta-a-mim não é mais minha praia. Teve tanta cena entre os dois que me causou raiva e revolta...
Sem contar que esse foi um insta-love tão insta-love!

If you’re into daddy dom play, you’ll definitely love this one. It was only ok for me. I liked the twists and turns even though they weren’t huge shocks, they were still entertaining. All in all an ok quickie read.

Criminal was a quick and sexy novel that hit the spot. I thought it was sexy, kinky and action packed. I could not get enough!
I enjoyed Colt and Sonya's chemistry right away and the dark touches in the story. I was completely taken with the intense start to the story and the connection between them despite the fear, anger and intrigue between them. The first in a collaboration between Jane Henry and Loki Renard. I went into it with no idea what to expect, so to be drawn into it from the very beginning is always a good thing.
This book was intense and deeply passionate. The storyline is seriously thrilling and the chemistry is so hard to ignore. The kink is well written and scorches the pages with its heat.
The circumstances she finds herself in are not something I envy, yet I find myself drawn to them, to the next page of their tale and what will ultimately be their fate. A criminal and an FBI rookie trying to prove herself. They practically turned themselves. The dynamics between them and the way he asserts his dominant nature is perfect. He may want to be her Sir, but I don't think he ever suspected she would be his everything. Or what he would mean to her. Definitely a story not to be missed. A well written collaboration that easily gets five starts from me. Can't wait to read the next adventure coming our way.

Fast read...you knew right off he was not the bad guy, but he demanded obedience and she got her ass beat and mouth washed out. They fell in love pretty fast but I enjoyed the book:))

*** 3.5 Stars *** CRIMINAL has everything I love about a dark and gritty romance: It’s action-packed, suspenseful, includes an enigmatic alpha with a serious dominant streak and a kinda bratty, mouthy and oh-so stubborn heroine. The pages flew by fast, and still I haven’t been as on the fence about a rating as I am for this one in a very, very long time. It’s a mixed bag for me. I loved the storyline and the mysterious, dark and dangerous hero … the insta-love, insta-trust, insta-everything under the given circumstances … not so much. Or how Colt and Sonya got what they wanted in the very end of the story … well, no. Nu-uh. To accept actions like that I would have needed a lot more backstory between certain characters. Which was another thing for me – I wished there would have been more layers and facets to the characters, to make them realer and relatable. Back to the good things. The sex in this one … lord have mercy! Intense, insane, unapologetic, HAWT! Then there were the two – one tiny and a major one – twists in regards to Colt which were totally awesome too. A deliciously sexy and dangerous first collaboration between Jane Henry and Loki Renard – I’m looking forward to the next one!

I'm a huge fan of Jane Henry and while I've hear of Loki Renard, I haven't read anything written by her. I think that will change now. This book was amazing, from the first page where Sonya is crawling through an air duct to the last page. Colt is the perfect "bad" guy and together they are magic. This story has everything a reader of dark romance needs. It's dark enough.... but not over the top dark and that was awesome. Without giving the story away, all I will say is to get this book. Jane and Loki have outdone themselves and Loki has a new fan in me!

I’ve never read Jane Henry but I have read an obscene amount of Loki Renard. The one thing I expect from Loki Renard reads is frequent breaks needed to hand-handle ma bidnez. This had that, and several. The twist (spoiler warning!) that the bad guy turns out to be a good guy pretending to be a bad guy was a little disappointing to be honest, because he was so good bad. Both these authors should only write bad guys. Really bad guys, for real forever bad guys, because that just feels so so good to me.
Even with that slight setback to total masturbatory satisfaction, “Criminal” gets Soscha’s hooded love oracle’s resounding seal of approval.
I’m in for the sequel, too. That mouthy, nasty French bad girl needs some “adult” supervision, know what I mean? *nudge, nudge, wink, wink, smack, smack*

I LIKE TO TAKE MY TIME WITH A NEW TOY
I love when I pick up a book and am held hostage by it and can’t put it down. The writing duo of Jane Henry and Loki Renard delivered a winner. The story has it all, a great cast of characters, plenty of action and adventure, mystery, suspense, secrets, deceit, life, and death, good versus evil, and then you have a dominant man who knows just had to control and out of control woman.
The plot will have rogue rookie FBI agent, Sonya Lee, captured when she is trying to listen in on a criminal conversation between Brava and a mystery man. Colt refuses to allow Brava to have her, and instead takes her for himself, and to teach her the errors of her way.
“Just so we’re clear,” he says. “Punishment will be painful for you. I’m a man with particular tastes, and if you give me a reason to hurt you, I’ll enjoy it.”
Colt will bind her, throw her in a trunk, and take her back to a house and basement room where he will punish her, care for her, drug her and makes sure she is afraid and knows who is in control. When someone else tries to rape her, he will lose it and threaten to kill him or any man who touches his property. Sonya is caught up in a game of control and power, and she has no idea what the outcome will be for her. Is he just playing with her as a cat would with a mouse before the kill?
The story has several surprises, plenty of action, control, spanking, forced submission, dubious consent, and explicit sex scenes. It takes on life and death, sex trafficking, criminal activities, and murder. As Colt exerts his control and domination of Sonya, will she submit to his authority or continue to rebel? When she gets cocky and doesn’t listen she will be punished and used sexually in front of others that will add to her humiliation. There is mild age-play with the language of Daddy and little girl between Colt and Sonya. It is used as a mind game to get her under control, but she feeds off of hearing him call her a good girl.
“I’ve given her pain, and I’ve given her pleasure. Now it’s time to give her what makes both of those things mean something—my care and commitment.”
While this story does not end on a cliffhanger, it does lead the reader to believe another story will follow.

“Criminal” by Jane Henry and Loki Renard was an amazing treat that I couldn’t put down. The action starts from page one and both Ms. Henry and Ms. Renard set a challenging pace to the story that keeps the entertainment high and me tapping those pages. The chemistry between Sonya and Colt is downright tangible and while there is some serious breach of…ummm…workplace etiquette (hee) going on, I loved every word of it and more. Likes/loves: Colt is your new book boyfriend. He’s all sorts of growly alpha male in an unforgiving situation and he dishes it out. Sonya is in way over her head and I loved how she didn’t back down. The story itself was a new twist on work place relationships (coughs) that is pure, sexy entertainment from beginning to end.

The over the top, uber sexy, no nonsense, dirty dom who run his life and his business with an iron fist.
When Sonya is discovered hiding in a vent, Colt kidnaps her, thrusts her into his unsavory world of sex trafficking and decides to keep her and make her his. One...... spanking......at....a....time. Sonya has other ideas however and fights him every step of way.
Colt gave me full on body chills, made me weak in the knees and left me panting. He loved meting out punishments and "I" loved reading about it. His dominating personality gave me the shivers. Sonya is his perfect match. She challenges him and most certainly gives him a run for his money. If only she could manage to keep her anger in check and her mouth shut. I loved this heroine because she gave as good as she got. I found her to be enchanting albeit stubborn as hell, a bit naive' and just full of life and humor. You just can't help but love her and all the stupid things she does that lands her in trouble.
Things are not what they appear to be. Lives are in jeopardy. Time is of the essence. When the truth is discovered, everything changes.
Freedom and free will play a pivotal role in this story for different reasons....... Will Colt set Sonya free?
It's a battle of wills for sure. Who will win the battle? I'm not telling but I will say this... These two have an electrically charged chemistry that's immediate and burns so bright that it burns the pages of this book.
Rules are meant to be followed. What happens when you break the rules? Well, there's that pesky upper hand again. Wielding the trio of pain, punishment and oh so delectable pleasure.
I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend this 4.5 star dark romantic suspense thriller. This couple was so much fun and a great match. The story is full of suspense, danger, twists, humor and just the right amount kink to pull it all together. It takes you out of the real world and plops you into one hell of a yummy escape.

I loved this heroine because she gave as good as she got. I found her to be enchanting albeit stubborn as hell, a bit naive' and just full of life and humor. You just can't help but love her and all the stupid things she does that lands her in trouble.
Things are not what they appear to be. Lives are in jeopardy. Time is of the essence. When the truth is discovered, everything changes.
Freedom and free will play a pivotal role in this story for different reasons....... Will Colt set Sonya free?
It's a battle of wills for sure. Who will win the battle? I'm not telling but I will say this... These two have an electrically charged chemistry that's immediate and burns so bright that it burns the pages of this book.
Rules are meant to be followed. What happens when you break the rules? Well, there's that pesky upper hand again. Wielding the trio of pain, punishment and oh so delectable pleasure.
I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend this 4.5 star dark romantic suspense thriller. This couple was so much fun and a great match. The story is full of suspense, danger, twists, humor and just the right amount kink to pull it all together. It takes you out of the real world and plops you into one hell of a yummy escape.

Disappointed....Story lacking something!
I don't mind a bdsm novel where the h gets her comupence for being a bratty, disrespecting know-it-all who needs to learn selfcontrol. I like my spanking/discipline reads two ways...either because it's well deserved or because the h enjoys it and gets aroused. But I find it hard to stomache discipline with a belt for no other reason than to prove to a third party that he can and will discipline her, especially when it's shortly after she had already been disciplined by him for cause. The other thing I didn't like was the H referring to himself, or being called "Daddy" by the h. Unless it's an age play scenario or at least a big age gap between the characters it's just creepy...neither is the case in this story so...just creepy!
This story could have been so much better. It's almost as if the author couldn't decide if the story was a bdsm romance or an FBI criminal investigation about human trafficking. The end result was that neither part was really fleshed out and both were lacking.
There could have been more meat in the criminal investigation and the undercover work; more interplay between the undercover agents and the criminal element. There could have been more developed regarding the h being taken by the trafficker instead of just 3-4 pages of 'she's gone, he finds her'.
There is some hint in the early part of the story that the h grew up with parents who were verbally abusive, never satisfied and always finding fault with her. She's small and was made fun of at school because of her small stature and the fact that her clothes were often bought in the children's department. It's also suggested that when the H called her "good girl" it made her happy and she wanted to please him. There could have been so much about how her upbringing had caused her to always feel like she had to fight back and prove herself resulting in her lack of control and rash decision making. There could have been more about how the H used discipline to teach her to control her temper and break down her walls and realize how her upbringing affected who she was now.
But Nooooo....we got neither of those things. Instead we get a criminal, human trafficking, undercover op where the traffickers make just enough apearances or phone calls to interrupt any real development or depth with the h and H and their relationship.
there are other stand-alones in this series....Not sure I'm going to waste my time and money on any others.

Creative, emotive and the MUST-READ of the season!
OMW! Starting in total darkness, where it is difficult to figure out the good in the room, and then moving to an ending with a light so bright my eyes hurt, the primary characters in “CRIMINAL” makes quite a transition, but Oh, what a ride! The blurb starts the reader outright, but what the blurb won’t tell readers is that this novel is so well written that even the bad stuff feels good. Sounds strange, right? Well, “CRIMINAL” has some twists and turns which are so totally unexpected they come over the outfield fence and turn the story on its ear! (or maybe the story was always fine, and it was this reader on her ear, but whatever . . .) “CRIMINAL” is amazing! The plot is uber compelling; I had to finish it in one sitting. The main characters, Colt and Sonya, are phenomenally realistic and loveable, and the plot – swoon/sigh – I won’t say any more for fear I’ll spoil the amazement for another. Suffice it to say, “CRIMINAL” is THE MUST-BUY of all must-buys this fall! There is this element of TRUST woven throughout the book. Add to that some lust and some over-the-top action which are all mixed with a great deal of risk so when read provide hours of titillating entertainment. This is NOT just another day at the office! No, it is a whole weekend’s worth of entertainment for any lover of romantic BDSM. Sonya hides in the tiny space if discovered she’s dead
The unknown male pulls her from the space and tells her she’s his and his alone!!!
She is in an unknown space with this alpha male ordering her around, he washes the touch of Brava from the surface of her skin, he is vile the very lowest of the low and the thought og his hand on her is just too much!!
Bound and punished with the unknown male she knows that the basement apartment is where the human traffickers bring the captured women and break them by what ever level of brutality is needed and then sell the on to new owners.
As the reality of their true identity becomes known the plan to work together however when it all hits the fan and she saves him, then they have to fight together to prove that they are worthy Agents that can work together, they go to the top and Rico determines if she is back in control and able to work at the agency.
The are to be the new disciplinary section of the CIA together ensuring that new agents are under control and are the very best agents they can be…….
This was a great read with two dominant characters that have fought to reach their position on the force and Sonya knows that she has to ensure she keeps her will under control by submitting to her lover, her care, her daddy!!!!
I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Loki Renard and Jane Henry are a dynamic duo when it comes to dark and engrossing romance. This book is totally proof of that. I mean, wow.
Sonya is an FBI agent who wants to get in on the biggest case going, taking down Brava. So, she decides she's going to force the team to take her. She sneaks into his building by the air vents, hoping that she can hear something. She hears something, alright, but not what she might expect.
Colt is working with Brava, dealing in women. He has to go talk to Brava about some mistakes, but he sees a pair of eyes in the air vents and tells Brava that all he wants is the woman in the vents.
Sonya thinks that she knows what's going on, and she thinks that her rebelliousness is going to help her here, but she's so, so wrong. I like Colt, he's a definite dominant type. I totally wouldn't do anything that he told me not to. Probably. Sonya is a different story. I sometimes like her I sometimes don't. She's a little too bratty sometimes and I would definitely support what Colt does.
It looks like this is getting set for a series, and I'm looking forward to that.

Please read this one before Hard Time - I didn’t and now I need to go back and review again

This is apparently the first story in the Undercover Doms series. I enjoyed it more than the other one I read (out of order) because it felt like so much of the backstory was missing. Well now I know why ... so please read this one first.
It focuses on FBI agents trying to infiltrate and arrest those, including Brava who is in charge of a human trafficking ring. Fortunately for Sonya, a rookie trying to prove herself and push her way into a case, is found hiding in a heating duct by Colt.
Colt takes “her” in lieu / forfeit of Brava’s life. He takes her back to the house where the new girls are broken for the street and takes her for his own. Now if he can just tame her enough that they both don’t get killed ... boy is she going to be shocked if she finds out he is also an agent.
I am going to stop there so I don’t accidentally provide any spoilers.

The only thing that got to me in this book was that I hate "daddy" being mentioned during steamy scenes, for that reason I will rate this 3.5 stars. Other than that irritation, I did enjoy the author's style of writing as well as the plot.
Sonya is a federal agent out to prove she is ready to move up from being a rookie by spying on a trafficker named Brava. The man Brava is meeting with, Colt, catches her in the act and decides to take her with him and punish her the way he sees fit. But Colt is not what and who he seems and Sonya decides she continue with her quest to do whatever it takes to be part of the team to take down Brava and prove herself.
Written from a dual pov, this book has a bdsm edge to it and although there is a semi hea, it does also ends in somewhat of a cliffhanger - more to entice the reader to read the next book in the series than to leave a person hanging.

This story of rookie FBI agent Sonya getting caught spying on a criminal meeting, being taken captive of a very no nonsense criminal element and the excitment never even slows down. The human trafficing plot is dangerous but doesn't sway our heroine enough to make her listen to reason. Our Hero/Anti-Hero Colton, is a bad*ss and doesn't take any sass or back talking from Sonya. There is sex, punishments, danger and human flesh peddling that scares, yet thrills Sonya as she got involved in a very dangerous situation with Brava, a seriously dangerous criminal element that the FBI wants to catch. I was hooked from the very first page and didn't put the book down until I read what I hope will be the topic of another FBI case, involving one FBI boss and a young, rich, spoiled brat criminal. I hope I am right about another writing partnership between Jane Henry and Loki Renard!

Attention-grabbing from the start, the big bad man with a wooden paddle for a hand, a feisty female MC and danger lurking throughout. This story just sucks you in, refuses to leave your hand until the last page is turned, and then makes you want to cry because where is one supposed to find a Colt for themselves??
I'm not a reviewer who leaves spoilers everywhere on reviews, because I hate that. The joy of a new book is to discover these things for yourself. All I will say is that whether you're a Jane fan, a Loki fan, or you love the pair of them (me!), or in fact, whether you've never heard or read anything by either of them...Criminal should be on your TBR, your kindle, your wishlist for Christmas.

This is a surprisingly seductive story of FBI agent versus “criminal”. Sonya is the intelligent, noncompliant, mouthy, sassy, petite agent, Colt the rough, strong, attractive, and very ALPHA “criminal”.
The story starts out with a capture and an abduction, which is then quickly followed by demands, tenacity, severe punishment and the hottest damn sex. The story line is exciting and fast-paced; their physical responses so intensely stimulating, I had to take short pauses to control my heartbeat and remind myself to breathe. I loved the whole premise behind Colt’s domination of Sonya, as well as the domination itself. This entire story is well-written and addictive. My advice is, read it yourself and enjoy!

Oh so hot, I have no idea how to begin! I love the bad boys. And this one is steamy hot, you cannoy help but to love him. Colt must train and prepare Sonya for sale, he is drawn to her. But this is only the beginning, Sonya needs to submit to survive, or does she. The relationship between Colt and Sonya is forbidden, hot and Oh so steamy! But as with most bad boys, the romance is never easy to grow. Twists of fate cause Colt and Sonya to become closer and are forced to trust each other. But does that trust become true enough to turn to love? Will a relationship started by a need yo survive thrive? This is a book you will not be able to put down. Each turn of thr page brings surprises and more hot scenes. This is a story not to miss!!!

From the second Colt snatched Sonya from the air duct, I was hooked! Sonya looking to get onto a high profile case to get rid of her rookie status goes against all the rules. Colt sees her as payment for the building not being secure to do his business, setting up the purchase of women. Colt has to get Sonya to submit to him and he’ll do anything to get that result...even breaking his own heart a little. Colt has a secret and if things go according plan he’ll get to prove just who he really is to Sonya. But things hardly ever go the way they’re supposed to.

It is a story about Sonya and Colt. Sonya is a FBI rookie doing her own thing and then gets caught. Will she get out of the mess she got herself in?

I like these kinds of books when I am in the right frame of mind - one of the kinds that are on the shorter side and are a fun, quick read. There is nothing too heavy and the plot/story is just deep enough to provide a framework for the dirty bits. And this one has great dirty bits - great dirty-talking (including usage of "daddy" for those that like or don't like that) and exploration of several BDSM elements including bondage, spanking and discipline. The heroine is kind of irritating in her immaturity and brat-like behavior, but it makes sense for the story and the hero is alpha possessive, which I always find attractive. Definitely a fun little escape of a read.
