As chaos takes hold of the world around her, Sam steps up to command. She teams up with two soldiers who bring loyalty and stability to an uncomfortable mission that no one prepared them for as the military breaks down around them. Their new mission: Survive.

Gillian Zane is an Amazon bestselling author that specializes in dark genre fiction for adults. Gillian defines herself by the city she was raised in, New Orleans. She’s tried moving away a few times but always comes back. At the age of ten, she decided she would be a writer and has been determined ever since. Between that decision and when she actually finished a book that she believed was good enough to publish, she’s served in the military, worked as a bartender, became a cog in the corporate marketing wheel as a person “that makes things pretty” and has since been laid off too many times to count. Survive is the start of a new spin-off series from the NOLA Zombie world. It begins back when it all began - at the start of the end of the world. Survive is not based in New Orleans, but in Cajun country located right outside the city. There might be a slight overlap with the characters from NOLA Zombie, but the Cajun Zombies will feature all new characters and a very different backdrop. Hell Yes! The answer to my NOLA craving.

When I sadly finished the NOLA series, I was in a reading funk. I just wanted more of that. Then my brain started working and I realized I needed to see what else Zane had published. Hence, my continued happiness. This book brings it all back with new awesome characters, end of the world craziness, and a simmering hotness I can’t wait to see unfold. Thank you, Zane. You got a girl hooked and are still delivering.

Excellent spinoff

I loved this story! Ms Zane has done it again with an amazing Zombie apocalypse story. The details show that she is a true NOLA girl at heart. I rooted a return to Tink’s Bayou since Sam left, but by the end, I’m definitely not sure. Can’t wait for the next installment.

I'm a big SHTF books when they involve zombies and I'm living for all the recent additions to the genre that add some sexy times like this book.
You've got to love a H that can kick ass, appreciates the hotness around her and keeps her focus on the survival part. Even when mistakes are made it is never due to being a moron.
This was a quick satisfying read, hope the next one comes out soon!

I was so excited when I came across this book! I loved the NOLA books in the other series and hated it when they ended. This book is a little bit slower in the romance department but just as entertaining when it came to action, humor, witty banter, and plot twist. It ended on a bit of a cliff hanger so I'm dying for the next book!

The beginning seemed a trifle slow and I wasn't sure how much I'd like the main character. But the Zombie action became legit, and the book quickly spiraled to a page-turner! I'm ready for book 2 please!

Es realmente nuevo, me gusta que aun que sea una capitana militar no sepa que esta sucediendo

Kick butt heroine

It was a great start to what I hope will be an action packed zombie apocalypse. Ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. If you love Gillian Zane’s NOLA series then you’ll love this.
