I’m an author who had a somewhat unorthodox upbringing. I was raised in South America and the Middle East, and wrote my first stories as a teenager in Kuwait, where my sister and I proved it really is hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk. I wrote my first novel in three months on a typewriter when I was 21, I used every romance cliché possible (including amnesia — need I say more?), and never rewrote anything, which is why it’s so much fun to pull it out occasionally when I need a good laugh. I wrote sporadically until my youngest child (who is now 18) was two, when I decided it was time to either actually start writing, or to stop saying I was a writer. So I took a class and started doing the scary things that writing requires. Now I’ve written about twelve novels and several children’s books.

I really love this series, so I am always delighted to find another. This book doesn't have much overlap with the others, but it is still fun. Think Little Mermaid with a much better ending. :)

Heather Horrocks does it again!!!

Fun, kooky characters, a straightforward plot and a wonderful happily ever after, with room for another med-tale open at the end.

This was a very short quick read. It reminded me of the Little Mermaid with a twist. It was cute, magical and merfolk.

Classic story of the mermaids. Yes, the Disney version is mentioned, of course. Disappointed that she wasn’t a “siren of the sea” and that is what made sailors loose their lives. The song of a beautiful mermaid made sailors drown.

Of course he didn’t drown, but fell in love with the maiden of the sea.

Completely cheesy series to read but good when you are burned out when you’re updating though construction in the home. This is perfect to read when you’re in recovery. Clean, fun and fast reading.
