Hakuryuu is swiftly becoming one of my favorite characters in this series. I thought he was just gonna be one of Aladdin's merry band of friends. This is so much better. Also, Judar's breaking my heart with some of his lines this volume.

4/5 Stars (%78/100)

After telling the story of Alma Torran, Aladdin expects other countries to form an alliance but it is not as simple as that. At that moment a very different Judar and Hakuryuu arrive and we learn what they were doing in the past weeks or so. Judar is much more powerful thanks to black rukh while Hakuryuu conquers a new dungeon. We see their act of revolution and eventual clash with the "witch" Ren Gyouken. This volume focuses entirely on Hakuryuu and Judar and I have to say I really liked it. You really start to sympathize with Hakuryuu and even Judar. We'll see what the future holds for Hakuryuu, Judar, and other countries.

This was disturbing but so awesome!

Can't say that I overly cared for Hakuryu like he is a good characters and added quite a bit to the story but I just couldn't click with him. This current arc involving him has me liking his developments which in turn makes me like his character more. Some of Judars moments in this volume were so Darn good but to be honest they usually are anyways!

This volume shows the other side of the conflict.
Poor Hakuryuu and Judal...
The only negative is that it's rushed. Ohtaka wanted to cram so much story into such little space that it got a bit confusing.

Disclaimer: I watched the anime and needed to read the manga as I loved this story. Unfortunately, I binged every volume back to back each moment I was free so its hard to distinguish what happened in each volume.

4 stars, I am loving it.

A review for books 1- 26

This Manga starts our humorous. I really enjoyed the characters at the beginning. The farther you read the deeper the plots become. Enjoyable at the beginning, and a must read for the later books. I can NOT wait for books 27 + Characters are real and raw. Everyone has there faults and I feel the author/artist dose a wonderful job of bringing everyones points of view, twisted though they might be, in to clear focus.

(note: I wouldn't recommend this manga for young teens. I fine the sexual innuendos pretty funny as an adult, but not really appropriate for younger audiences. Also the plot gets pretty dark at times. )

I read the English translation on KissManga.com
