Nadia and Ellie are friends and clerks at the Celtic University continuing the time travel to Scotland of the very early 1700s. They have met Ciaran, who Nadia has married, and are searching for the cure to the curse he has fallen under caused by the halberd controlled by the Druid Child. Baltair and Eoin have come to return them to 1706 with English copies of a 'fantasy' book originally written in Gaelic telling about the clan war they are about to fight, with tales of the Druid, the Fae, and the heroism of Ciaran. Lots of action, including the construction of a catapult, along with the love story of Ellie and Baltair as they converse in the old language. Kelsey, one of the original girlfriends of the MacGregors, a graduate of Celtic University and married to Tavish, is now under suspicion. I am looking forward to the three books that will eventually conclude this series.
Baltair: A Time Travel Romance (Dunskey Castle Book 12), my fifteenth read from author Jane Stain, an author I've wanted to read since I began acquiring her books back in 2017 and finally got around to in the last couple of months. I got this book back in August of this year & am just now getting around to reading it as I've committed to reading the Dunsky Castle series in its entirety. I look forward to the next book from her, Baltair: Time of the Fae (Dunskey Castle Book 13). Each book is a complete story woven into a Highlander romance epic. What really gets me going is narrator Andrew McDermott, I love his Irish brogue, it adds to the enjoyment of the tale. “I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Baltair is book 12 in the Dunskey Castle series that is a well written story with well developed characters. This is an enjoyable read that I finished in one setting. It has magical artifacts and killer druids. The fae and druids are involved in a Clan War. Ellie, MFC, is a time traveler and has traveled to this time before. What will happen this time? I highly recommend this book. Received a copy and this is my voluntary and honest review.
I love this author and just can't get enough. The way she combines time travel and romance with all the action and drama is awesome. This is technically a standalone but is part of a series of interconnected books. trust me you want to read the books in order or at least thats just me. but not entirely necessary.
A quick interesting adventure romance story. Ellie and Nadia are trying to find a cure for the druid curse on Ciaran. Magical artifacts, druids and faes are involved in a Clan battle. Ellie and Baltair meet up again, will sparks fly?
