I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.
My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.
My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with.
I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.
I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.
When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!

Loved everything about Rank.
This series is going to be amazing. It reminds me so much of Alvarez Security. Love it.
Love Rank and Helena. And love how they first met and love the suspense in this book.
The cameo of the Saints was awesome. Loved that part.

Rank is book two in the Lighthouse Security Investigations series by Maryann Jordan. John Rankin (Rank) was on a mission for the FBI to gather information about Frank Tercelli for money laundering. However, Rank was talking to an informer at the back of the restaurant when Helena Jernigan accidentally dropped onto his head from the fire escape, ending the mission. At first, Rank was angry about the end of his mission. However, when he realises that Helena Jernigan was in danger, his protector instinct kicks in. Will meeting Helena be the downfall of Rank? The readers of Rank will continue to follow Rank's investigation to discover what happens.
Rank is the second book I have read in this fantastic series by Maryann Jordan, and it is an excellent addition to the series. Readers of Rank will understand the importance of ensuring non-profits have the money and resources they need to continue their charities, as well as the role of the middle person in achieving this aim.
I love Maryann Jordan's portrayal of her characters and their interaction with each other. Rank is well-written and researched by Maryann Jordan. I like Maryann Jordan's description of the settings of Rank, which allowed me to imagine being part of the book.
I recommend this book.

I fell in love with this story and these characters right from the beginning.
Helena is a strong, independent woman. But she can get ahead of herself and leap before she looks which at times lands in some trouble.
I have to say that Rank and Helena definitely have the very best ever meet-cute.

I adore this authors work. Her books are so compelling. Once you start you can’t stop and this new series is no exception. Rank was the quintessential Alpha but the minute he set eyes on Helena he was gone for her. She’s feisty but sweet this book has everything. Love, drama and suspense. Great book and series. Loved seeing some of the Saints in here too! Can’t wait for the next book.

This is book 2 in the Lighthouse Security series and I would absolutely read book 1 before you read this one. You will get a much better understanding of the characters and how it all started by reading the first book before this one. This one is about John “Rank” Rankin and Helena Jernigan. Rank is on an op for the feds and prides himself on having every moment of a mission planned out to a T. While he is talking to a key witness that is already nervous about what he is doing, a woman literally falls into the middle of it. Helena is a charity organizer who was meeting with a potential donor for dinner when she tries to sneak out the back to get away from the man who pushed himself into the middle of the dinner. But when she is trying to leave she ends up landing on Rank, and right in the middle of an investigation that could cost her everything, but it also could bring her the love of her life.
I absolutely loved this installment in this series! Rank from the start is definitely an alpha male who tries to keep everything going according to plan. He definitely never planned on Helena. And he certainly never planned on how much he will come to care for her once he spends time with her. Helena is this beautiful, klutzy woman who while she may have come from money, she feels like it is her place and responsibility to give back. She doesn't live like a woman who came from money and she certainly never treats others any differently according to their circumstances. I love her character!! She is down to earth but with a need to try to make other people's lives better. Even if it's just in a small way. And while that need gets her in trouble, Rank is there to make sure she stays safe. I loved them together! They are like puzzle pieces that just fit together perfectly and you know from the start that it will be a beautiful relationship. I loved it!

John “Rank” Rankin is a former SEAL and CIA Operative who works for Mace and Lighthouse Security. He is in the middle of a mission, meeting a informant in an alley behind a restaurant, when someone drops in on him unexpectedly. She literally drops in on him from above and she lands on his shoulders sending his informant running away before Rank gets the info he needs. He is assisting the FBI on this mission that Helena Jernigan literally falls into.
Helena Jernigan is a trust fund baby but she doesn't show it. She lives within a working woman's means donating her salary to the business that was influenced by her grandmother for whom she was named. Helena ends up getting tangled up in Rank's mission as she is unknowing pulled into a friend of the family's scheme that is under investigation by the FBI.
I loved this story and I am fascinated by the idea of the headquarters being in a lighthouse. The way that Ms. Jordan's describes things makes me feel as though I am there. This second book in the series , is very “Maryann Jordan”. Meaning , it’s sweet, has romance as well as suspense, bad guys, strong female characters and alpha males with integrity and big hearts.
John/Rank Rankin, meets Helena Jernigan, literally by accident. When he goes to an alley behind a restaurant to meet an informant, she is trying to escape an unpleasant man in the restaurant and literally falls on him. All this causing the ops to go down the drain. But the silver lining was their meeting.
He has mixed feelings since he is attracted to her, but isn’t sure she isn’t part of the investigation since there is a chance money laundering might be happening in the her work as charity coordination. From then on , it’s non-stop action.
In addition, if you have read any of the author’s books about the Saints, you’ll get a chance to have a quick visit with some of those characters.
All said, never a dull moment in this story filled with suspense, and of course , love.
I am hoping that Babs and Drew get their story soon.

Rank is the second installment in Maryann Jordan’s Lighthouse Security Investigations series. It was another great addition to the series. In Rank, we get the story of John “Rank” Rankin and Helena Jernigan. Rank is a former Seal and CIA operator who now works at Lighthouse Security. His new assignment is to investigate a Senator possibly being involved with the Russian Mafia. Rank goes to meet with a witness and our heroine, Helena, accidentally “stumbles” upon his meeting. I laughed so much when reading about how Helena stumbles into the meeting! Eventually, Rank realizes that Helena has ties to his investigation and he begins to investigate her. After officially meeting her, he realizes he has strong feelings for her and wants to keep her safe. Of course, he has to come clean with her and she realizes that she can be valuable to his investigation. From there, they have their adventure and it was an amazing ride with some ups and downs! I loved their story and I loved the glimpse we get of the other characters! Rank was another amazing read. I received an authors copy, but I have left an honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book it has everything I love to read in a Maryann Jordan book, The Alpha, The sassy but sweet girl and lots of twists and turns and of course action. This series has definitely just taken off at running speed that can't be contained and I can only see it getting better and better with each book.
Rank is a fun loving guy with jokes, he loves life and is not ready for what jumps right into his path, he was amazing to read and see him change into who he needs to be to suceed in his mission. Helena she was just surprise after surprise, so sweet and trusting but a bit of a goof, she is definitely going to be bringing fireworks to the pairing.
I would definitely recommend this book and author to anyone who loves a good love and action, this book like all her other books are well written and easy to follow. I honestly hope you love it as much as I did reading it and got emmersed with the charecters. I honestly can't wait to get my hand on the next book in the series. Happy Reading ♡

John “Rank” Rankin has been in a lot of unusual situations, some even life threatening, but none as unexpected as when Helena Jernigan literally falls on top of him. Now he needs to figure out if it was intentional or not and exactly what does she know about the case he’s investigating. The more he learns the more he wants to know, and not just for the case. As things progress, Rank and Helena become more involved both in the investigation as well as in each other’s lives. Trying to keep Helena safe and secure becomes Rank’s number one priority and one he may not be able to achieve.
It’s another great romantic suspense in this exciting new series! The story is full of action, some light hearted, lots of suspense, intense drama, and passion. The characters in this series are extremely appealing and very engaging. I really enjoy getting to know the members of Lighthouse Security Investigations and can’t wait to read more! I’m hoping for a book about Drew and Babs, maybe next? I highly recommend this intriguing and enjoyable book and series!!

John “Rank” Rankin, is helping the FBI with an investigation possibly involving a young Senator, Thomas Tercelli, his father, Frank and the Russian Mafia. His informant is the Senator's administrative assistant.
Helena represents a number of non-profit organizations and charities. She was invited to meet with Frank Tercelli and his son for dinner to discuss his company making donations through her.
Disappointed when Thomas had left before she arrived, but enjoying Frank's company until Anatoly joined them. He was creepy and was making unwanted advances under the table. She had to get out of there fast.
Helena literally falls on Rank's head and then all the fun begins. Helena starts looking into organizations that Frank put on his list and finds some issues. Issues that put her in the Russian's sights.

Another great read!
Rank and Helena's story is the 2nd in the Lighthouse series. Regardless of if this is your first or 21st MaryAnn Jordon book you will enjoy this story! It is always good reading an alpha no commitment type that falls hard! The first few meetings don't get exactly aa planned but with communication they work through it. This one doesn't have quite the mystery that needed uncovering it's more of keeping Helena safe. They knew who the bad guys were it was just a matter of catching them. I liked both characters. Rank took a minute for me to not think he waa too cocky for his own good but Rank and Helena togther were fantastic! He fell hard and was completely talen by surprise by Helena. She was nothing like he expected. I guess that don't judge a book by its cover thing rang true! I ha e enjoyed this series so far and look forward to getting to know the others! I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did!!

I absolutely loved this latest book in the Lighthouse Security Investigations Series!! This is the story of Helena and Rank. He is working on a case involving a US senator....while conducting his investigation Helena literally falls right into Rank's arms. Helena is the owner of a company that links up companies and charities. She finds herself literally in the wrong place and wrong time....something she feels that she does quite often. Now Helena is on the radar of some very bad people who want her to disappear. Rank is now in charge of insuring Helena's safety. The more time they spend together...they realize that there is a connection between them. Rank is soon realizing that Helena is someone that he can't imagine being without. Can he keep her safe? I loved their story we have action, suspense, hot steamy romance....everything that I love from a Maryann Jordan book! I can't wait for the next book in this amazing series....well done!!!!

The Best of the Best
Loved this story. John "Rank"in is an investigator for Lighthouse Investigations. He's always had complete focus during his missions, as a SEAL or in the CIA. I thought the cover looked a bit silly but after seeing the overwhelmingly positive reviews I decided to take a chance on this book. Unfortunately it wasn't my cup of tea and I can't rate it higher than 'ok'.
There's some likeable moments but I was bored by how often we had to hear about how beautiful Helena was. Also found it amusing that the first time Rank sees her it's from the back. He can't see her face and yet describes her painted toenails. Were her feet on backwards that night?
Reading about incredibly attractive people drooling over each other isn't that interesting to me. There was also a lot of grinning and heads being thrown back in laughter. It just didn't feel genuine to me. There were some decent friendships and the 'mystery' was ok, but overall this series isn't for me.

He needs her help to take down the criminals. With danger stalking them can he protect her and love her at the same time? Of will all the falling leave to the mission failing and them being in even more danger?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book.

Rank is book two in the Lighthouse Security Investigations series it is another great story from the very talented author Maryann Jordan. This was a story that really grabs a hold of you and keeps you turning the pages as quickly as you can. The story has plenty of action, suspense with a bit of drama and romance.. Rank is the alpha investigator on a case when he see the beautiful Helena. Helena is at dinner with a contributor hoping for a donation to one of her charities. But there is a bit of a twist and has her wanting to leave. When Rank and Helena meet it is definitely a meeting they won’t soon forget. This is a absolutely well written story that is definitely a must read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and then turned around and bought it.

I’m in love (or lust) with Rank! I must say the cover does not match the hunky long haired blonde man with a beard though. I can definitely use my imagination so no problem there. Mr Confident Rank has his mission blown to smithereens when the beautiful woman he saw a in restaurant falls right down on his face (yes literally) while meeting an informant in an alley behind the place. Beautiful Helena is trying to escape the roaming hands of a nasty Russian mobster and ends up on a fire escape and into the face of a handsome hunk. A meet cute from hell lol. Things get dicey and dangerous for Helena and Rank has a hard time working the mission, keeping her safe and dealing with his feelings for her. Lots of action, suspense and steam. Oh and cats too.

A nice and easy read, slightly predictable, which reached its end without any heart shattering twists and turns.

This is book 2 in the Lighthouse Security series and it features Rank and Helena. You just can’t help falling in love with these amazing ex-military alpha men. The way these two initially met was pretty hilarious. It caught me off guard and had me laughing out loud. In my opinion, the romance thread shined a little brighter than the suspense thread, which gave me more time with John “Rank” Rankin, for which I am eternally grateful.
The story line had great flow and the characters had me falling a little in love with each of them. I can’t wait to read more about the amazing men and women of Lighthouse Security. I wonder what’s going on with Babs and Drew? Hmmm...

I am loving this new series! These Lighthouse Security Investigations guys are amazing!

I just finished reading this book by the amazing Maryann Jordan and I couldn't put it down (which meant I was up until 2 am)! This is the second book in the Lighthouse Security series. It is a standalone book, but I would recommend reading the first book since it introduces the characters (plus it's Mace's story which is riveting). The two main characters in this book are John "Rank" Rankin and Helena Jernigan. I loved this book and enjoyed getting lost in the story. Rank is definitely an Alpha male who is protective and Helena is a generous and beautiful soul (and a little klutzy, lol). They just fit together perfectly. It's a beautiful and compelling book!

Helena must never have heard the saying, curiosity killed the cat. Thankfully, Helena met Rank when she "dropped in" on him. Can Rank keep her safe or will her curious nature placed her in so far into harms way that even the Lighthouse Security team can save her? There are glimpses of an upcoming story about Drew and Babs that I can't wait to read. If this is your first Lighthouse Book I hope you are as hooked as I am and will read the others. Yes this is a standalone book but you wll quickly find that "you can't just read one"!

Great read
Ms. MaryAnn’s books are always a winner; but, so far this series is her best yet. Written with just the right amount of intrigue, kick-a$$ girls, hot/hunky boys, great humor, and steamy sexy-times (even cute kids/pets). Most readers will be very happy. This is book 2 of the Keepers series and the author nailed it! I truly loved the “introduction “ of the two main characters Rank and Helena. (I nearly died laughing. The scene was a scream and reminded me of an escape I made during a really bad first date; many, many years ago. Thankfully in my case I had on a pair of dress slacks, but, my dismount was about as “elegant “...) 😂

This is the second book in Maryann Jordan’s new series and I’m loving it!
Rank a former seal is working on a case involving a senator and his father when Helena literally falls into him, Helena owns a company that puts charity and businesses together, finds herself right in the middle of the investigation.
Rank screws up a little in the beginning but soon his protective side comes out especially when things get a little scary for Helena.
I enjoy all of Maryann’s books, always a page turner and I’m loving this new series can’t wait for the next one while savoring Rank!

This is proving to be such a wonderful series, though I have never not loved a Maryann Jordan book. Rank is a strong character who loves his job and the team. During an assignment he meets the very intriguing Helena in a very unusual way and he feels a connection beyond the normal interest he has in someone he is investigating. The story kept me hooked from start to finish and is full of suspense and humour mixed in with a romance. A great book. I think these series are special when you get to know characters and they appear in the other books in the series over a good period of time. Roll on the next one!
