An Improbable Windmill: ...the Gospel According to Bobbie

Rate this book
Don Steiner, in the tradition of his hero, Don Quixote, is on a quest to canonize Martin Luther. With some at times dubious assistance from his sidekick Father Jack, Steiner jousts with all manner of windmills in the church hierarchy. As if the dour expressions and staunch resistance from of an old acquaintance Cardinal Mendez aren’t enough discouragement, along comes the sardonic quips of a matronly yet curiously attractive librarian, Ellen Danza. As Don can’t quite shake thinking of himself as a busted-down old plop, or wondering if this mission was inspired by the Holy Spirit, the more people tell him it’s a harebrained idea, the more obsessed he becomes about pursuing it. Author Denis Joseph Stemmle is back with another Donald Steiner saga, wherein the reader is reminded that in any quixotic endeavor, the endgame isn’t always what we plan.
