I have the trilogy set but wanted to review book three separately - wow, just brilliant!

The story continues about the battle and outwitting the enemy and I loved how each character, in each world, performed their tasks - everything is cleverly done, yet keeping the mystery until the end.

Extremely enjoyable and highly recommended.

Great series

This is another great book series. I love the characters and the twists. Some multiple reality books can be confusing butTerry Schott does a great job leading the adventure.

Cliffhanger

I love every bit of this series. Given the trilogy subtitle, I expected "the Exception" to be the end of the story; I suspect (sincerely hope) that it's not.

Interestingly, toward the end of this book I recognized a couple of what seemed to be references. One is to the "Urantia Book, " a voluminous tome that describes a race of beings who watch over the Earth and monitor the activities of the human species. It's a fascinating, but thoroughly impenetrable book (at least for me). The other, "Jiro Loves Sushi," is to a biographical movie about a Michelin three-star sushi restaurant located in a Tokyo subway station. These references caught me by surprise and made me immediately want to go back through all three books in the series to find others. Kudos, Terry Schott! You've given me an entirely new level on which to enjoy your work.

One tiny little complaint: there were several typos which, as a writer myself, snagged my eyes. Certainly they didn't impact my enjoyment of the story or my rating, but still...

This book series is difficult to review. Not because it's a bad book or for any negative reasons. It's just that knowing this is a trilogy and reading the ending.... I just feel that there's more to be mined here. As the author himself has said, this is Easily a Game is Life book, just not within the Game Universe.

I would highly recommend this series if you've read his other works. He just has this style that bleeds into everything making you question what book you're reading, or how it all ties together. Just a great author and can't wait to read more.

Cool

This book was shockingly able to tie up things from the previous two books without feeling too rushed and condensed. I loved the way that things ended up working. Also, the last page begs for a spinoff book about Grace! (Hint, hint, hint...)

Like the Game but not the Game

This trilogy was very similar to the game But not the same. I enjoyed the character development and the overall story. I recommend it to anybody who liked the game.

I'm confused.

I slogged through the entire book hoping to gain understanding by the end. Didn't happen. Maybe if I reread it, but don't think that's going to happen.
