Required text for a college course - basically put, a college level remedial Math course. I do believe it was helpful as it had been 18 years between high school Math and when I took this course in college. I graduated from high school early, but was late in getting to college due to life.
Anyway ... this book is anything but "basic". The text covered Algebra in a way that was easy to understand, as well as basic math that some Amazon reviewers have said should be taught by 8th grade.
I was surprised at how well I was able to understand Math with this textbook and astonished to have gotten an "A" in the course since I wasn't very good at it in high school.
