Her kural, birbirinden farklı alanlarda adından söz ettirmeyi başarmış onlarca insan ve annelerinin yaşanmış hikâyeleriyle geleceğin yıldızlarını büyüten annelere yol gösteriyor.

Good book! A copy should be given to every parent when their child is born. Very interesting; I wish I would have had this available to me when mine were little, maybe now I can incorporate some of what I didn't then with my grandchildren now. The author interviewed a wide spectrum of entrepreneurs and parents/families to see if there were some kind of common threads or "rules" that these families had implemented while raising their children. Despite the families not knowing each other, coming from different racial, cultural, incomes (from poverty to wealthy) backgrounds, some parents having little education, others advanced degrees, and the entrepreneurs themselves, too, ranged widely in the education they had attained -- some common threads did emerge. Employing the "rules" would not insure your child will become an entrepreneur if that is not his/her bent, but even the highly successful entrepreneurs profiled in the book all agree that if these practices had not been evident in their homes growing up, they would not be where they are today. Certainly too, even if your child is not destined to be an entrepreneur, the environment created in the home by practicing these guidelines would only benefit the child anyway. Win/win situation. I would have given this book 5 stars, but it was an ARC and had some typographical errors which I would assume have been corrected by now. I received this book in a giveaway, and my thanks to the author and publisher for supplying it.
Overall useful reminders and tips on how to support your child (say yes to experimentation, allow them to discover their passion, help them learn to deal with adversity). But a lot of the examples and stories were too generic and repetitive.
The ten 'rules' were informative, but the lack of development was frustrating. The book written a lot like Grit by Duckworth: String together a whole bunch of anecdotal stories by people who are wildly successful, introduce each anecdote with a half-page bio, give a wee bit of commentary at the end.
These books feel like lame attempts to do a Jim Collins book, and they leave a lot to be desired. There were nuggets of information scattered here and there, but - like Grit - this book left a lot of insight out in the field, because of a lack of rigorous thought by the author about the anecdotes she gathered.
I won a copy of this book during a Goodreads giveaway. I am under no obligation to leave a review or rating and do so voluntarily. I am paying it forward by passing this book along to a business organization that offers business skills, hope, and dreams to be used in their ministry.
Raising an Entrepreneur will help you to achieve a higher level of success in your business and life. Inspiration and insights that transform. Karen Briscoe, author and podcast host 5 Minute Success
While the book's title refers to raising an entrepreneur, the content affirms the value of a loving and nurturing parent-child relationship, important for the growth and development of all children.
The author stresses that believing in your child is the unifier for the 10 rules she imparts. Each rule is expanded upon through the views of over 60 entrepreneurs, their moms, anecdotes and/or the author. The ideas and parenting approaches presented in this book are inspiring!
Our grandson is a freshman in high school and I'm giving him (and his parents) my copy to read and grow from. (I definitely believe this book can help empower my grandson.) Some great ideas are conveyed! I also bought a copy and mailed it to another daughter's family.
I received my copy of Raising an Entrepreneur for free through a Goodreads Giveaway. It's not often a book comes along with such potentially life-changing material.

Rules or Guidelines as a parent, grandparent, or mentor you will have new mantras from this book "Raising an Entrepreneur: 10 Rules for Nurturing Risk Takers, Problem Solvers, and Change Makers". The mini stories and interviews give you brief inside looks to the up and downs of being and becoming an adult and what life has to offer. Finding the ignition that starts the fire and how to keep it burning is a great story indeed. I have made index cards of the 10 rules and have them sitting around to remember, the young are learning and there are so many paths to which they can take. The journey is going to be there, what they start off with depends greatly on those around them.
This book does not only teach you how to raise your children and prepare them to succeed in the real world, but also inspires you to pursue your own passion, to persevere and not to give up when the going gets tough.
A lot of parents put too much value in traditional education, putting a lot of pressure on their kids to conform to some obsolete rating system. This book will open their eyes that there are other ways to succeed and nurture talents and passion.
I won a copy of Raising an Entrepreneur from Good Reads. I really enjoyed this book, the whole idea of encouraging your child's passion even if you don't get it or have no interest in whatever it is and that no matter what, you believe in them. That's huge! Loved the stories from the entrepreneurs and their mothers and have already ordered copies for my shop. Thank you!
This was a very interesting and informative book. I won an advance copy thru good reads and was expecting it to be dry and matter of fact. I loved the fact that they explained each "rule" by spotlighting entrepreneurs and their mothers. It gave insight into each company and their values also. I would highly recommend this book.
