DNF "Sweet girl" was said too many times because it sounded condensending after said too much...like he couldn't let go of her past and thought of her as a victim. But my major turnoff was the portion of the book where she finds out he had a threesome a few nights before, "Excuse me, just a few nights ago, you were fucking not one bitch, but two of them. And then today, you want me to be with you?"
Ugh, A relationship with Sin doesn't seem so compelling or worth a disease. Ick.

This doesn't seem a book worth my time. I've read plenty of this author and maybe my tastes have changed or her ability to make Sin something than a whoring neanderthal.
Emmie is over worked as always.

Their worlds are Tainted🌎

Tainted Bastard is the fourth book in the TK series and finally tells us the story of our broody and mysterious Sin, along with the Blonde Bombshell Roanna😍 Their pasts are tainted but when they come together, everything else fades away to the background❤️‍🩹

A wonderful story with some suspenseful moments but all in all I really enjoyed it❣️Now I just need to read about Jace and Kin next😳

Rock fun and frolics

I always enjoy a good Rock Romance book and Terri Anne Browning always writes a good one. She also has a large body of work to draw on, so is often my go to author for a bit of rock romance fun.

This book is a good example of her skills as an author. It’s a good solid plot line and interesting main characters and intriguing supporting cast members, who you can be pretty sure will crop again in future books or are from previous ones. This author is the master and weaving a complex universe over dozens of storylines.

Roanna is a lead singer in an up and coming rock band. They have a headline gig at a well known venue that is owned by the son of a rock legend. Therefore lots of really successful bands come and watch these up and comers signed to the venue. In this case Tainted Knights have just got a great contract off the back of their own contract with the venue and are handing over to Roanna’s new band. Sin from Tainted Knights rapidly falls under Roanna’s spell and we get to witness how a grumpy slut falls for a shy and insecure blond bombshell lead singer.

It’s interesting, fun and has tiny bit of darkness to it, just to add that hint of spice to the story. As always, with this author, it’s a great safe choice for a rock romance.

In love with Roanna

After one look and hearing Ro's voice and Sin was hooked. But he needed patience for this Songbird. It's part t mar her have panic attacks, afraid of crowds, afraid of men, lack of sexual desire, afraid of being touched. Her girlfriends all helped her when she needed them, they knew why happened to her but Sin being a man whose and playboy would have to show a lot of restraint for Ro to take down those walls.

Ro likes Sin instantly and feels comfortable with him. She does not have anxiety or feel threatened by Sin. Which is a great start.

After a run in at a show starring the Blonde bombshells Sin scoops in to save Ro. And join doing so witnesses first hand her panic attacks.

Sin shares a secret of his past with her and they become friends. After Sin shows her he wants more and is willing to go as slow as possible Ro gives in to try for a normal relationship.

Roanna's story was very intriguing and I love that we get a book about this cool couple. Sin is sweet, loving, protecting, and patient. I loved him when he protected Kessa from the dog in school but you fall more in the with Sin I this story. His past just as dark and sad.

Sin is mesmerized when he hears Roanna's voice and from that moment on she becomes his obsession. He wants her but after all she has been through she has some tall walls he will have to knock down to get to her.
In all the time he takes to get to know her and letting her know he wants her it doesn't stop him from sleeping with any and every girl. Not knowing that Ro sees him constantly picking up girls at the gym and leaving with them.
What really frustrated the hell out of me though is when he comes to her and tells her he wants her for his girl friend and then she finds out that the night before last he had a threesome. Yes they weren't together officially but he had been pursuing her for months. The cherry on this shit sundae was that she forgave him so easily and not just once but continuously which is a big disappointment for me. I thought Sin was to much of a whore for Roanna to put up with. I just couldn't get past how his feelings for her never stopped him for screwing around, and not just mindless sex but the whole shebang. YUCK!!!

Love love love it!!!

I knew that this books was going to be heartbreaking and amazing at once. Ever since Ro was introduced I wanted to know what her story was and I finally got it. I have to say that I hate what both Sin and Ro had to go through when they were kids. It really broke my heart. But for those two to be able to see it in each other and actually understand and bond them together was absolutely amazing. I also wanted to smack the hell out of Sin at the beginning of the book but I’m glad he finally got his shit together lol. I also loved getting to see Emmie and Nik in this book even for just a small snippet. Getting to see Emmie do her thing to protect her guys always makes me smile. I cannot wait for the next book to come out I know it will be just as amazing. I hope we will see more of the demons in this next one.

This is another one in this series that has an extended flashback. The first 30% of the book happened more than a year prior to present day.

This is the fourth book in the series and each new book seems to backtrack over the same events, but from a new pov. It's a little confusing trying to remember the sequence of events when each book is hopping around the timeline ... like "Did ?? already happen?", or "Is this going on before so & so broke up?" Especially since this series is sometimes running parallel to the events in the Lucy & Harris series.

I give it 3.5 stars, because I liked it mostly, even though I was kinda pissed at Sin for the majority of it. Roanna had to pretty much promise her eternal devotion to him before he quit f*ckin' around. And even then, he still didn't show her the same level of trust & loyalty that she gave to him.

One sitting read

This book is a or sitting g read, so don't start it unless you have time. Like most all TAB 's Rocker books, Tainted Bastard hits on uncomfortable subjects. What makes Sin and Ro's story so special, is that they're both a bit broken. Each are affected differently by their past abuse. But under all the hurt, betrayal, and loneliness each hold on to like the walls mentioned in the character's internal dialogue; they will find each other. The book is written very sweetly. I felt their connection. Even though I did not cry (I love crying when I'm reading a book, means I'm emotionally invested,) I've been left feeling warm and tingling AND very antsy for the next installment in this particular series.

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Sin has been attracted to the lead singer of the Blonde Bombshell's, Roanna, but she was the only woman who brought light to his darkness but her past is full of darkness. How does Sin convince this highly protected little singer that he be the man she deserves. Why does Roanna feel protected and cared for in his arms but yet days later he is walking away with another random woman? This story had me conflicted as to whether I liked Sin or not. I loved how delicate and broken Roanna is but Sin and his other women kept me on the fence about him. I love a good redemption story and this book made me swoon many times over.
Addictive
Sin and Ro are both fighting demons from their past and the horrendous things that happened to them at the hands of people who were supposed to care for them. Finding each other, they are able to exercise some of the darkness they both carry around. Finding comfort in each other they are able to fall helplessly in love while dealing with the trial and tribulations being a famous rock star brings.
Once again Terri-Anne has produced a story that tugs on your heart strings and emerses you into her characters world. I personally loved Sin and Ro's story and I am excited to see what's in store for the rest of the TK boys.
I love Terri Anne Browning!
I've been slacking on keeping up with my reading for her but I will always come back to her!
This is Sin and Roanna (lead singer of the Blonde Bombshells) story. Ro has a rather bad past from foster care and Sin has been mesmerized by her since he first heard her sing. But Ro's past has kept her closed off from men and will likely not give Sin the time of day. Of course, that doesn't stop Sin from trying and eventually succeeding.
I liked that for the most part, the drama between Sin and Ro is pretty low key. The drama mainly comes from both there pasts. For the most part, this is a pretty sweet and low key story.
Personally I think I expected a little bit more from this book. Please, do not misunderstand me, it was great, just not what I imagined it would be. However it was a great story. I didn't let go of the book until I finished it. Anyway, TAB should keep writing rockstar's stories, I personally can't stop re reading the whole series, and about that I can't wait to read the next ones. TAB, have a happy new year and I hope to be able to read all you have for us, I admire your dedication as a writer and your courage to put so much of yourself and give it to us.
I love this series and every time I think I have a favorite she writes another. This time I am not changing my mind. Sin is absolutely to die for. He has a checkered past and a very bad experience with abuse. Lo was in the foster system and was raped as a young teenager by her caregiver. If you do not have a strong stomach for this then this book is not for you. The author did a great job of showing the pain and suffering associated with sexual assault as well as how to heal and that it is okay to be scared and not trust but you have to put yourself out there to heal completely.
Honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about this story. I have conflicting feelings. And I'm not sure how to talk what's bothered me without spoilers. There is one thing, I can talk about without revealing anything and it's 'I love yous' moment. Which by the way was were its kinda ruined for me. I felt it was used at the wrong moment and it didn't have the power. You know, when they say 'I love you' and you feel it to your soul. I felt indifferent here, like they were talking about something else.
In all it wasn't a bad story, just yeah me being conflicted.
“Forever isn’t nearly long enough”
What a great addition to this series. I have loved every one of these books from the very start with Nic & Emmy & every story is as good along the way. Sin & Ro story had so many emotions from sad, scared, happy, worried, always a bit of love thrown in for HEA.. which is what we like 😁
If you enjoy series like I do, this author is definitely one to look at..
This series keeps getting better and better. That's saying a lot when Book 1 was a slam dunk. This book was great, and the author handled the touchy subjects so well. My favorite thing about this entire series is that the heroes are so alpha-ish and yet they treat their heroines like queens. I loved the soul sisters in this book the best. Of course, just like every other book, J.F. Harding and Jillian Macie bring the story to life in the best way.
Wow just wow. I went into this book knowing that there were triggers to sexual abuse. I have experienced this first hand and I still wanted to read this story. I can say this was a beautifully written story of healing and love. I watch the strong characters in this story grow and learn to live again. Thank you Terri Anne. You did justice to this book.
Love Sin and Ro
I always seem to be drawn to the more intense characters in a book so I was drawn to Sin as soon as we met him. I was so glad that we got to hear his story. I was ecstatic that he found the perfect woman in Ro and that he found his happy ending.
SIN AND RO
So horribly sad how some children have such a horrendous childhood. There should be an equal punishment for the ass holes. The story was so good and I was so glad that SIN found his other half.
soooo good
This story was so good! Sin and ro were such a great couple. The connection they had was so strong. Of course the angst and pain was tough to read but it only made their story that much better!
I feel in love with Sin right along with Roanna. I hate that they had a bad history in common. So sad for both of them. I loved these two characters.
