A Mpreg Standalone Romance in the Hemlock Mpreg Universe.
Lion omega, Ian, fled from the only home he ever knew to the Scottish village of Aramore. Across the Atlantic Ocean he hoped to start a new peaceful life free from the chaotic and dangerous life he left behind in Chicago. Surrounded by men in kilts and ancient vampires, Ian struggles to fit in. Life as he knows it is turned upside down at the Festival of Mates when against the odds he meets Lord Ardan Byrne. Fate has delivered him into the lap of his true-mate, but will his past stand in the way of his happily ever after?
Alpha Ardan Byrne has waited three hundred years to meet his true-mate. The benevolent ruler of the vampire Coven of Byrne and the proud protector of Aramore doesn’t know what to make of the lion fate deemed as his. When Ian flees the Festival of Mates Lord Ardan is left speechless.
As the destined mates grow closer danger lurks around every corner of Ian’s past. Ardan will do whatever it takes to protect him, but is their love enough to overcome Ian’s dark history?
Ardan’s Oath is a standalone MPREG romance set in the Hemlock Mpreg Universe.
I think I would have this a slightly higher rating but for a couple of things. First the language was cringe worthy in places. Especially during the sex scenes which led me to skim most of them. Second the book was written in the first person and alternated between Ian’s and Ardan’s perspective. That wasn’t really a problem until at one point the author lost track and switched back and forth between the two in the span of a couple of paragraphs. It confused me and took me out of the story. There was also a lot of conversations between Ian’s lion spirit and Ian that took place in Ian’s head. Those were a bit hard to follow at times also.
The story itself was okay. I liked all the characters and loved Ian’s best friend Hannah the bunny shifter. Not having read any other books in this universe, I’m not sure if the Chicago situation is addressed in the other books for if this is something the author will pursue at a later date. All in all, I thought it was okay despite it’s flaws and I would read more in this universe, especially if more is written about Ardan and his coven.
So so good! I loved this story of a lion shifter in hiding funding his gated mate in the sexy Alpha Vampire king. It has danger, sweetness, humor and heat. Love the story and characters and definitely recommend.
This actually was a good story but it had some flaws that made it a little less easy to read. For one it needed editing. Not too bad but descriptions of Ardan got a little messed up along the way and a couple of places had Ardan and Ian mixed up in the monologue. Mostly there were far too many sex scenes. I started to skim them after a while or skipped altogether. Otherwise the story was good. Lord Ardan and Ian meet at Ardan's village of Aramore. Having run from a bear shifter in Chicago, Ian feared for his life. When he meets Ardan, his fated mate he wants nothing to do with him, but succumbs quickly to the pull of his fated one. Danger lurks as Ardan's ancester warns him of danger. Some violence and murder are added in for spice. So all in all I would recommend this book to others who loves vampire, shifter or paranormal stories as much as I do.
I loved Ardan; he was the perfect mate....kind, caring, loving, and protective. I loved Ian in the beginning of the book, but there were certain parts where he was tad too emotional and kinda used his position/status to his benefit along with his lion. But it was definitely a good book.
Similar to her series, but different types of characters and location. Still an awesome book. Great characters, good story lines, lots of her special brand of humor, and plenty of heat. You did it again.
Ian and Ardan. MM. MPREG. A Great Read. Enjoyable, and Entertaining. The alpha's are macho, but turn to goo with and for their mates. Recommend. Ardan is a Vampire.
Ian ran from Chicago and the misery of an alpha that was a tyrant. He unknowingly runs to the one place he can find his true mate Ardan. Then love and danger comes calling.
