Sid's tale is a short and cute story which says that sometimes what you consider bad is not afterall bad at all. The beautiful illustrations evokes a sense of wonder and awe and will keep the children engaged. The illustrations are so carefully crafted which bring live emotions and actions at the best. Overall a short, cute read.

This picture book is a rare find because it is delightful and ingenious in equal measure. The quirky surrealism by which the protagonist grows a tree on his head is a winning mix of refreshing and relatable because it urges both reflection and empathy. I love how the protagonist finds ways to lean into himself no matter what he is and that the ending is both surprising and satisfying - no easy feat to pull off. The illustrations pair beautifully with the sparse text to evoke wonder.

Interesting story for adults, but it would fly over the heads of my current TK class and a good portion of my Kinder class, as well.
