D. C. Wright-Hammer is the innovative author behind the Between Two Mind series. An intelligent and well thought out sequel to Between Two Minds, Awakening. The characters are complex and varied, their stories developing in dramatic step with the tight plot. As with the first book, there are head-hops, but the y are clear and easy to follow if you don't take too much time between reads (as I did - had to go back and reread stuff to remember). I took one star off for some pacing issues and vague plot points. The story is great all round, though and I really look forward to more books by this author.
Recommended for hard-core science fic fans. A must read for fans of any of the old scifi by Dick, Asimov and others.
Well, Wright-Hammer has done it again! After his first Between Two Minds book, I didn’t think he could out-do himself, but he totally did. Between Two Minds: Revelation is a psychological sci-fi thriller that picks up after the first book, though we see some of the past in how mind migration started in the first place. Readers will enjoy the fast-moving plot and all the discoveries along the way.
The story continues on with Ryan and Helen as they adjust to their new bodies and their new life together. We also get to follow Dr. Rex Martin in flashbacks as he attempts to make mind migration work, though there are forces going on behind the scenes that could hinder his good intentions. Not wanting to get too much into it without spoilers, I will say that if you enjoyed the first book, this one does not disappoint. If you have not read the first book, I would highly suggest doing that first as I think it would be confusing otherwise.
Again, we get more brilliantly written sci-fi. One wouldn’t expect this to be an indie book. It reads like a best-seller. I loved the psychological and mental illness angle. I also liked how we got to see the characters from the first grow and change as they meet their challenges. The backstory with Dr. Martin finally answered a lot of my questions from the first book.
Kudos again to Mr. Wright-Hammer for another brilliant work. I highly suggest reading this book if you have read the first, and if you haven’t read the first, what are you waiting for? This series is definitely worth your time!
Newly mind-migrated hero Ryan is back in the sequel to Between Two Minds: Awakening and ready to unravel the mysterious history of the origins of mind migration. I received a free .mobi file of this book in exchange for an honest review, and I can attest that Between Two Minds: Revelation by author D.C. Wright-Hammer is a pulse-quickening sci-fi ride that is every bit as thrilling as the first book in the series!

The way the book ended made me secretly wonder if there was a possibility of a third novel in the series, and I can honestly say that I'm excited to find out. If you liked Between Two Minds: Awakening, then you will absolutely not be disappointed in Between Two Minds: Revelation! Mr. Wright-Hammer, I appreciate the opportunity to review your work! Thank you for letting me experience the next chapter in the world of mind migration!
Nothing is ever as it seems. When Ryan and Helen decided to have their steady minds migrated into fully functioning, new bodies, they knew they faced many challenges. Death, acclimation, and moral implications threatened to hinder their dreams. Even worse after the transition, they now live in a world where there are prejudices against mind migrators and developing issues regarding whether or not those bodies were completely “empty” and consenting before receiving new guests.
Between Two Minds: Revelation by D C Wright-Hammer (D C Wright-Hammer) is the second book in a philosophical science fiction thriller series. Picking up where Book One left off, Helen and Ryan are moving in together and starting their new lives. Unfortunately, the past and their bodies’ pasts come back to haunt…or not quite “haunt” them…as Wright-Hammer adds in twists and turns from the past, present, and future. Learn about the initial mind migrations and watch as new threats and movements engulf our fearless science innovations and soon-to-be activists.
I received a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest and true review. What can I say? D.C. Wright-Hammer did it again! I really thought that the previous novel was standalone, but I was excited to see that it wasn't. Ryan continues with his life in his new body, and everything that comes with being in a new body (not that I would know), i.e. emotionally, physically and mentally. This book makes you think! I love stories that make the reader ponder. I recommend both of his novels. Everyone should go get their copies now! You won't be disappointed.
Another first-rate speculative fiction thriller from D C Wright-Hammer. Familiar characters from book one take on surprising twists and turns that will keep you engrossed until the end. Highly recommended.
Coming into the second book of this series, I was interested to see where things would go. It was interesting to get a glimpse into the beginnings of mind migration, the people who pioneered that work, and how it all ties together in the present with what the characters have already experienced. While the first book felt very futuristic with a focus on the advancements made to science and technology, BTM: Revelation takes on a heavier dystopian feel. I didn't feel the perspective-switches were as effective as the first novel and there were some areas where it even became a bit clunkier, but overall the story held together and I'm interested to see where things go next.
Good follow up to the first book. If you read the first book, you may get confused by the prologue. I loved Helen and Ryan and they don’t appear till chapter one. But hang in there. Then you are off to the races. More mind-shifting people struggling to understand their new reality and how to make the most of their new found talents. Fun book that leaves you anxiously awaiting the next one.
DC Wright-Hammer’s second entry into his Between Two Minds saga does not disappoint. The author weaves a number of plot threads in this sci-fi thriller, and they all stitch together into a truly enjoyable climax, while leaving just enough unresolved to keep me pining for the next entry in the series. Well done.
