Maggie, the spa’s new cosmetologist, is being accused of murder…among other things. Of course, I believe she’s innocent, but the evidence is stacked against her. To make matters worse, she’s not saying much and when she finally does, it’s not good.
With Halloween right around the corner, things in Daysville get rather eerie. A mystical person sweeps in and turns my world upside down, not to mention Josh’s. Issues at the spa throw me for a loop and have me questioning everything. Oh, and there’s a dead guy walking around town.
This case may be the one that has me hanging up my sleuthing hat…for good.
The mystery was a bit light but all the character development made it work very well. There was a lot of emotion and action in this installment. I think Autumn deserves a lot of hugs. The characters were very memorable for Daysville and I’m excited to read the next book, whenever it comes out.
Maggie, an employee of the spa, is accused of murder. Autumn believes she is innocent, but as she is trying to solve this mystery, strange things keep happening.
Yet another great storyline in the cozy spa series. I was actually pleased I had not figured out the murderer, which I would say means the author is doing a good job.
