I stopped reading this self-serving piece of tripe around page 250.

A much more succinct title would have been "Theodore von Karman: I'm smarter than everyone else."

as a mathematician, I found this scientific memoir fascinating. if you enjoyed the similar memoir books by Wiener and Ulam that they wrote for the general public, I recommend this book as well.

Before you read this book, you need to understand that his ego is an integral part of his personality. Personally, I was interested in reviewing these scientific events from his point of view which is pretty good in this book, but you don’t have to take his word for how important his work is/was.

If you enjoyed books involving Feynman's life like Surely You are Joking... this would be a treat. Karman takes you through his adventures in Aerodynamics and Science. I am done with more than half of the book but I am choosing to save the rest for days when I think hearing more from Karman would inspire me.
