Can’t really recommend this series, the world and the storyline are weak.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

This story drags you in. I would suggest reading the prequel first to get more out of the this book. Rory is such a sassy, confident (even if its not a good idea), stubborn (does as she pleases). Rory finds out she is a witch and that she is to have 5 guardians. The Regime wants her. Drew her best friend her whole life wants more between them. Who are the men that will be her Guardians? Rory loves Drew, but why can't she have him? Why do her guardians make her so mad? Can she ever trust or accept them? What's with this warden wanting to meet her? Can she protect and save everyone that means so much to her? Can she protect her self? Can her guardians protect her? She know 2 of her guardians who will be the last 3? I received a free copy for my honest review.

I downloaded Crimson Kisses as a free ebook from Amazon. A really interesting read with great characters, it's nice to read a Reverse Harem novella that tweaks the usual male protagonist tropes and stereotypes--these men were interesting with unusual conflicts and personalities. I enjoyed the plot and the twists, and the ending was terrific (a cliffhanger, of sorts, but in a good place). I'd read on but the $5 pricing for a 150 page novella is higher than I spend on books, so I'll stop here.

Good book!

I really enjoyed the first book in the series! Rory is an interesting heroine and the relationship between her and her men is deliciously complicated. I definitely think you have a better understanding of the story if you read the prequel first.

Unexpected

I found this book through a random search and was pleasantly surprised. It was really good and I can’t believe I’ve never heard of it. It was hot and well written with only a few typos, but those were actually mostly words being left out instead of grammatical errors.

Weird beginning... then we get to this line.

"Why don't you give your guardian a kiss?" Xander

That just came out creepy. She gone through hell thinking she was betrayed yet this is the first thing she gets told?

Super Angst

This story line just didn’t do it for me. It was very angsty but I rarely connected with the emotions the main character was feeling.

Witches

This is an unusual reverse harem with witches and guardians. Rory officially finds 2 of her 5 fated men. I can't wait to read the rest of the series! Great book!

Pretty good story

I can't give it a 5, but overall it is a pretty good book. Too much trickery going on in it for me. Feels melodramatic. Maybe I will like book 2 more.

Short reverse harem with witches and guardians that ends in a cliff hanger so you have to read the next book to find out what happens next

Intriguing and Somehow Refreshing

This book was intriguing. The characters complex and exciting to read about too. One relationship worries me and I just hope it serves a purpose or I might have a bit of minor heartbreak. This Warden fella, I'm honestly scared of him. I'm not sure what he wants besides total destruction but he is terrifying.
