Grace writes heartwarming stories set in Ireland or in small towns in the United States—two places where she’d love to live while writing full-time. She’s also an avid reader who thinks daydreaming should be a paid profession and that the world would be a better place if bookworms ruled it.
Growing up as an only child, she spent all her free time with her nose stuck in books, enjoying the company of fictional friends, while dreaming of becoming an author. Discovering books by Rosamunde Pilcher was the turning point in her life, and she decided to start writing down the stories that kept playing in her head, just for fun. After the first couple of stories, though, she found it impossible to stop—and she’s been writing ever since.

An excellent batch of reading material, perfect for Christmas reading, no matter where you enjoy the holidays.
1 Christmas Kiss in London
In a quirk of modern living, adding a person you don't know on Facebook, could occur. Then to have that person become friends over a period of time and communication, is a bit like our forefathers corresponding with a woman, before meeting.
So are we so 'modern', or just learning to get to know a person, before we become physically involved?
A really interesting story.
2 Beneath the Christmas Stars
An enforced prolonged stop over is enough time for the initial attraction to blossom into more...
I won't give away the great storyline.
Well worth a read.
3 Kiwi Summer Christmas
The sale of three working dogs ends up with a meeting and then a job offer. You need to read what else it leads to.
Sad but sweet.
4 Under the Mistletoe
Ah, this one is sweet!
A modern day damsel in distress rescued by her own gentleman, who has used a book to guide him in the fine art of conquest for his lady love.
Sappy, but what every woman would want from a man.
A lovely tale.
5 Tinsel Time!
Most adults would agree that Christmas is more with children involved. The excitement of young people opening gifts without knowing what is inside, the surprise and hopefully joy, it does an adult well to remember, that often it is the smallest things that make the most impact.
Yes, Grinches exist, but the commercial side of the season has a lot to do with that, plus Grinches are either people who no longer have children around or don't have the money to spend frivolously on something that may not be wanted.
This is a story of a converted Grinche.
Amusing and quirky.
6 The Christmas House Swap
This is a story about a woman who has been landed in a very difficult situation.
She takes the decision to leave the area and house swap for 3 months. It then ends up a good and bad situation, but eventually she sees blue skies (you need to read the story to understand ).
7 Made Up for Love
A stranded woman, saved by a very handsome man, from having to stay in an airport lounge, whilst snowed in, discovers the man in question is extremely likeable.
Want spoil more of the story, which well worth the read.
8 Trust in Love
Two people, each shifted to a new location to start over. However, the attraction between them may cause the same situation that each had walked away from.
Do they make the same mistake? Read this story and find out what each person's past was and whether the current situation would cause the same problems.
9 The Garland Effect
A detective finds the girl of his dreams, sitting right under his nose. However, there are complications that have to be worked through before they can have a HEA.
A truly sweet romance, amidst some real life drama.
10 Fake Billionaire Fiancé at Christmas.
A billionaire has told a fib to his parents and now needs to produce a fiance at Christmas.
He hires a firm to find an actress to play the part.
However, the "Borderline Spifire",
isn't intimidated by the guys wealth, good looks or social standing. Things liven up, but as always, the author's story is better than anything I could tell you. Excellent read.
This is a great anthology to get you in the spirit of the holidays. From Joanne Dannon to Tracey Alvarez and on to Joslyn Westbrook, you will find novellas that will please everyone. One of the ones I enjoyed most was Beneath the Christmas Stars, by Tracey Alvarez. When a car breaks down and causes a change a plans a few days before Christmas, it opens a door to a possible relationship between two seemingly opposite individuals that have just met. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Thoroughly enjoyed these ten stories, all with Christmas as their background, and all completely different. Personally I particularly enjoyed Beneath the Christmas Stars characters Karen and Art, he being the Grinch who seemingly hates Christmas. I also thoroughly enjoyed Kiwi Summer Christmas, about Brigitte, a high country shepherd who has decided to give her job up because it is too cold and lonely where she works, and Steve, a farmer who is prepared to buy two of her sheepdogs, then makes her an offer of a job she cannot refuse. But all the stories are interesting, and it is quite refreshing to read short stories occasionally! Well worth reading
Just in time for the Holidays, we get a great collection of Christmas novellas that will tug at your heartstrings as well as spring eternal hope that we all look for during the Holiday Season. This is a great mix of books by some pretty good authors, including my favorites, Tracey Alvarez and Tracey Pedersen.
Loved Beneath the Christmas Stars by Tracey Alvarez. Karen and Art ended up with an instant attraction. Really enjoyed what Art did at the observatory, and Karen’s love for her llamas and alpacas. Such a great and interesting couple. Loved the setting as well as the incredible writing you expect from this author, whether it be a short novella or a full length book, you always get a great read.
Tinsel Time by Tracey Pedersen tugs at your heartstrings. Whenever you have a struggling single mom with 3 kids at Christmastime, you know that there will be a hope for a knight in shining armor to come and be everything that the little family needs, and Nathan is definitely that unwilling suspect. Loved all of the stories, but these two were my favorites.
Loved Jocelyn Westbrooks Fake Fiance for Christmas... Really liked Ivy's feistyness and it felt like Chase did too. Even though Chase didn't think Ivy was the right person to play the part, they come to an agreement and realize they do have a few things in common. They don't get off to a good start, but wait for the way things turn out down the road to force them closer than what they wish.
The rest of the series puts you in the Christmas spirit....it isn't that far away any longer. What a way to put you in the spirit and a little snow outside gets you there too.
Ten love stories full of Christmas’s magic. You will fall in love with all the characters in the series. Art and Karen from Beneath The Christmas Stars and Chase ans Izzy from Fake Billionaire-Fiancé at Christmas are my favourites, but you will enjoy all of them.
Fake Billionaire Fiancé At Christmas by Joslyn Westbrook
Super sweet read. Ivy is a struggling actress that lands a job as a the fake fiancé of billionaire Chase Hunter, through MyFakeFiance.com. These two are set to meet when her Chihuahua is suddenly hanging off his pant leg in front of the building. It really was hilarious and helps them break the ice. This was just a sweet and cute story with plenty of funny scenes.
Safe read, no om or ow drama. A billionaire, his Elle Woods look alike with her Chihuahua BB. Great Christmas ending, hfn. I would have really liked an epilogue on these two, because they really were relationship goals.
This is a good set of quick holiday stories. My favorite by far was Christmas Kiss in London by Joanne Dannon. I was completely hooked and could not put it down. I also really enjoyed Trust in Love by Grace Roberts.
-----------------------
I received an Advance Reader Copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of the following stories in this set:
Christmas Kiss in London - 5 Stars
I was hooked on this story from beginning to end. Loved the characters, their chemistry, and their journey.
Beneath the Christmas Stars Kiwi Summer Christmas Under the Mistletoe - 4 Stars This is an OK story. I enjoyed it but the characters were hard to relate to, especially the female character. She is just so different from who I am.
Tinsel Time The Christmas House Swap Made Up For Love - 4 Stars This is an OK story. I enjoyed it but the characters were hard to relate to. Trust in Love - 4.5 Stars This is a good story about two people with scars who don't know they are ready for the one yet. The Garland Effect Fake Billionaire Fiance at Christmas
Romancing The Holidays 3 is the perfect book to get you in the Holiday mood. Grab some hot chocolate and a warm blanket and get lost in the sweetness of these 10 lovely novellas. It's easy to get caught up in the stressful parts of this season, this book is exactly what's needed to remind yourself what's most important, family, friends, love.
Christmas Kiss in London by Joanne Dannon Amber is ready to settle down, maybe start a family. Darcy is a stuntman, younger, only interested in hookups. But when these two become friends on social media, each finds a kindred spirit. A friendship is established, secrets are shared but when they actually meet in real life could it be more than a long-distance friendship?
Beneath the Christmas Stars by Tracey Alvarez Art believes in science, Karen follows her heart. Can the llama mama and the astrophysicist find magic under the Christmas star? I am a long-time fan of Tracey, so this review will be more detailed than the others. This may be a novella but it's full of warmth, humor, family ties, and the sweetness of falling in love. Tracey always captivates me with her characters. This is no exception. Art and Karen have both known heartache, regret. Their responses took them in completely different directions. Art needed to understand everything to feel comfortable in his life. Karen needed to follow her passion for happiness. At first glance, these two seem to clash, at second they compliment, balance, and complete one another. One week to capture a lifetime of magic. I loved this novella and could happily read a full-length novel about these two and their families. Llamas, stars, and glitter. Magical.
Kiwi Summer Christmas by Kris Pearson A first dress, a borrowed dress. Seems innocent but this one action unleashes unimaginable pain. It's going to take a Christmas miracle to make everything right. Good thing there's already three wise dogs on the farm.
Under the Mistletoe by Khardine Gray Cody invests in the book, How To Win Over the Woman of Your Dreams. It's a dummy's guide to love and he's hopeful that it will have the answers he needs to win the heart of Eilesh, before the Christmas Holidays. It's an uphill battle since Eilesh's trust in men, in people, in general, has been rocked. But there's no choice when you're mesmerized at first glance.
Tinsel Time by Tracey Pedersen Skye and her children are starting over. This Christmas will be their first real one in years. Nathan is looking forward to escaping with his mates. He's not looking to settle down, he's not even looking to celebrate the Holiday but from the moment he meets Skye and her children, everything changes.
The Christmas House Swap by Susan Downham Kate is betrayed by her sister and fiance on her wedding day. She has a choice; stay and forgive or switch places with Joan who is escaping her own family for the Holidays. No choice really, and Kate soon swaps houses with Joan. Kate walks out of her own drama only to find herself in the middle of a family feud and an unexpected romance.
Made Up for Love by Julie Archer One good deed deserves another. When Lydia does a favor for a friend and finds herself a damsel in distress, Joel steps in like a knight in shining armor. Stranded in Scotland the two find themselves thinking maybe this is exactly where they are meant to be.
Trust in Love by Grace Roberts Doctor meets nurse, doctor wants nurse. It's a common story but this time the nurse has a broken heart and trust issues. Lucky for Leilani the good doctor, Zach and his kind heart and sense of humor are exactly what she needs. When fate steps in and life's hurts become too much, the two find they need each other more than they realized.
The Garland Effect by Zena Oliver Everyone knows mixing work and pleasure is dangerous. Brad is a detective and Delilah is a first-year officer and when her sharp mind helped him solve a murder case, he became intrigued. Now there's another case, another murder, and a long-anticipated dinner. Work may become more dangerous if their hearts become involved.
Fake Billionaire Fiancé at Christmas by Joslyn Westbrook Ivy's dream is to be an actress but she still needs to pay her bills. So she takes a job during the Holidays 'acting' as the future bride of billionaire Chase Hunter. She just needs to convince his family they are in love. Easy as long as she remembers she's only supposed to be acting.
This was such a sweet holiday romance. Art and Karen had no expectations of any type of romance for the holiday season. Then, they saw each other and it was instant attraction.
One thing that made this so endearing was their hesitancy about what they were feeling. There wasn't any angst in this book, just moments of uncertainty. Those moments were overshadowed by the sheer romance of it all. The star gazing, the conversation, the getting to know one another, the sweet kisses, and the sexual tension. No worries for anyone who is offended by sexual scenes. They aren't in this book.
A read that keeps you fully engaged while enjoying a sweet holiday romance with a HEA.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book received from author.
The third installment of Romancing the Holidays is here to stave away the chill, set fire to senses and make our hearts rejoice. From sweet to saucy and downright tempting there is something for the romantic in us all. A bundle of heartwarming goodness.
I’ve only read, “Fake Billionaire Fiancé at Christmas” and it was “swoonalicious”! This was my first Christmas read for this year and it was sweet. I loved the characters and the chemistry and tension was really good. I loved this story and wasn’t thrilled about the premise but it worked wonderfully. I didn’t want it to end, and besides who doesn’t love a dog in a Christmas story? I can’t wait to read the rest of these. Thanks to the author who gave me an ARC for my honest review! ❤️❤️❤️
If you love Christmas and romance then this is the book for you, it captures the mood of chrristmas, it is very easy to read, sweet, innocent, cute and if you don't like Christmas read this book and it will absolutely change your view.
I liked all of the books, although I really liked Kiwi Summer Christmas by Kris Pearson, it was sweet with a little twist.
Let me put it out there - I'm a Grinch. So, that I was entranced by a series of Holiday romances says a great deal about those romances. This is a set of 10 very different stories, some by favorite authors and some by new-to-me authors - and I loved every single one of them. Here are comments on only a few - for no other reason than space!
Christmas Kiss in London (Joanne Dannon) gives hope to those of us that do things by mistake like friending the wrong person on Facebook and Amber and Darcy's friendship and then love story never feel contrived.
Beneath the Christmas Stars (Tracey Alvarez) combines a grinch of a male character with a heroine who's lost her Christmas spirit - and the story ends under the aurora borealis - can you get better??
Kiwi Summer Christmas (Kris Pearson) is the most emotionally draining of the stories- as soon as Brigitte takes that dress out of the cupboard, you know the problems that are likely to follow. Her HEA with Steve is well deserved!
Under the Mistletoe (Khardine Gray) - who can resist a story where the hero has a how-to guide on winning over the woman of his dreams before Christmas? Eilesh wasn't expecting someone like Cody in her life; heartwarming and hopeful!
Fake Billionaire Fiance at Christmas (Joslyn Westbrook) - yes, this trope is popular at the moment, but this story takes it to new heights - Ivy has a fake (stage) name and now a fake fiance in Chase. They're a brilliant match, and this is easily my favorite of these stories.
Joslyn Westbrook Fake Billionaire Fiancé at Christmas
Oh wow, when I read the blurb I couldn’t have been more excited. My thoughts: ‘this is going to be so much fun!’ And yes, that’s exactly what this was!
Chase needs a (fake) fiancée, a knockout beauty with a brain and social skills. Ivy needs money. Enter MyFakeFiance.com and you have a recipe for a grrrrrreat book!
I looooooooooooved it, love love lovelovelovelovelove! BB, Ivy’s purse-sized dog, plays a significant role. She’s cute, but make no mistake: she can be ferocious! This novella was a-freaking-mazing. I couldn’t put it down. I loved that spark between Ivy/Evelyn and Chase. The end, although a bit fast, was hilarious and very happy. And I’ll never be able to think of the word ‘HAM’ in the same way! Curious as to what that means? Then you know what to do!
This is a collection of novellas just in time for the upcoming holidays. These are quick, clean romance stories, and they're perfect to read while taking a break from the holiday rush.
I've got to say though that my favorite of these stories is Fake Billionaire Fiancé at Christmas by Joselyn Westbrook. Failed celebrity and fake fiancé tropes in one story is a fun read.
Overall, I'm giving the entire anthology 3 stars because some stories were just okay. I also wasn't a fan of the writing style used in some stories - too simple and direct. It's hard explain, so I'll just leave it at that. Anyway, not all stories were like this, so it's still an enjoyable collection.

This outstanding anthology will have you glued to the pages!! Seriously!! All the stories are well written with good story lines. I started reading it then could not stop!
Christmas in London - Joanne Dannon: Connecting with a stuntman/actor on social media by accident brought about a friendship that Amber could never have anticipated. She and Darcy came from two different worlds and yet they connected on a level that very few people reach, despite being half a world away from each other. Introvert Amber is insecure in many ways and like most shy people, she buried herself in her work trying to please everyone. Darcy was the complete opposite, but when they finally meet, they find they have more in common with each other at a deep soul level than most people who have known each other a lifetime. The story also takes one on a trip around London and parts of England, bringing back many memories as I recalled traveling a similar path some years ago.
Beneath the Christmas Stars - Tracey Alverez: Sometimes funny and sometimes poignant, this story is romantic and invokes the Spirit of Christmas. When Karen and Moira find themselves stranded with Moira's sibling over Christmas, Karen discovered Art thrown into the mix. The connection between Karen and Art is instantaneous and in surviving an unexpected Christmas together, the romance between them blooms and takes on a life of its own.
Kiwi Summer Christmas - Kate Pearson: Shepherd Brigitte has had enough cold weather to last her a lifetime and she decides to sell her sheepdogs and move to a warm climate in order to rediscover herself. When Steve answers the advert, the two lonely people find a connection, resulting in Steve offering her a temporary position at his family farm. Brigitte is unaware of the family history and when she borrows a dress for a dinner invitation, she inadvertently opens a can of worms. This story brings out the importance of receiving counseling after a family tragedy in order to avoid long-term stress and dysfunctional behaviour. Sad but with a hopeful ending.
Under the Mistletoe - Khardine Gray: Eilesh comes down to earth with a bang when everything she has worked for is swept away from her. In her devastation, she never expects to find a Prince Charming, aka Cody, who wants to sweep her off her feet with the help of a guidebook on romance! He does that and more, but it is his humour and caring ways that reach her and enable her to find herself again. Cody is dealing with his own set of problems and knowing that Eilesh is waiting for him, gives him the courage to beard the dragon in its den. I loved Cody and Eilesh's ability to laugh, even when she's been crying, is a delight.
Tinsel Time! - Tracey Pedersen: Leaving her old life behind her, Skye is struggling to make a life for her three children that is safe and secure. That includes never allowing another man into their lives that could potentially harm them. Teaching her children to enjoy the small miracles of life, like Christmas, Skye doesn't expect the removal man to become a beacon of hope to her children. Nathan on the other hand, has no love for Christmas whatsoever, but when challenged by three youngsters, he begins to see the season through their eyes and wants to make a difference. The story is well-written and touches all the right spots.
The Christmas House Swap - Susan Downham: After being ditched at the altar, Kate takes up her boss' challenge and swaps houses with a widow from Tasmania for three months, starting with the Christmas week. Unfortunately, the widow hadn't let her children know that she wouldn't be at home for Christmas and Kate wakes up from a pity party to face a room full of strangers. Just when Kate thinks life can't get any gloomier, she discovers that the sun does indeed shine again. It's the first time I have read a book by this author, and I did enjoy it.
Made Up for Love - Julie Archer: Make-up artist Lydia is stranded in Scotland after a gig ran late, and finds herself snowed in without sufficient funds to pay for accommodation. Joel steps up to the plate to rescue her, mainly because he also cannot go anywhere until the storm has passed. Both Lydia and Joel are romance-shy but in each other, they rediscover possibilities of love. However, work issues derail their budding romance and one has to wonder whether they will ever find each other again.
Trust in Love - Grace Roberts: Dr Zach loves his job and the children he does his best to comfort as they go through their difficult days. He has given up on love and most women are unwilling to accommodate his long hours and dedication to work. When Nurse Leilani comes on the scene after having fled the most mortifying experience of her life, he begins to hope for the future. No matter where one goes, there is always someone who would like to throw a spanner in the works, and hospitals are a hotbed of gossip and even spite. Leilani has to look deep within herself to determine whether she is indeed ready to love again.
The Garland Effect - Zena Oliver: In the midst of investigating a crime, Bradley experiences a mounting attraction for fellow police officer Dee. Department romances are frowned upon and as they plot and plan to be together without arousing suspicions, they find themselves willing to defy logic to be together. Romance and detective work do go hand in hand!
Fake Billionaire Fiancé at Christmas - Joslyn Westbrook: A light-hearted billionaire romance where Chase needs a fake bride in a hurry in order to appease his family. Down-and-out actress Ivy thinks the gig as a fake fiancé is just a means to paying the rent. BB's role is to protect her mistress, especially against Mr Stuffy. A sweet story where fate plays the upper hand.
All of the stories in this box set are clean and can be read by most age groups. They are generally well written, are standalones and all have happy conclusions. I received a copy of this box set as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Actress Evelyn and Billionaire Chase's fake fiancé' story is a heartwarming one of coincidence and love at second sight. Wonderful characters and a cute dog round out this complex short story.
Romancing the Holidays 3 - Ten authors with their sweet novellas celebrating the magic of Christmas. There were overviews for each story, which I appreciated knowing before I read. Unfortunately, a few of the stories I read were not properly edited and some were enough to be distracting - had to figure out exactly what the author meant. Most share the lack and improper use of commas, wrong word usage and lower case proper nouns. I wasn't able to finish reading the rest of the stories and my apologies to those authors. Of these authors I had read Alvarez and Pedersen previously. Pedersen is one of my favorite Down Under authors. I have to add Grace Roberts to my short list of DU favs. I contacted Ms. Pedersen to review her books. 4*
Joanne Dannon, Christmas Kiss in London Tracey Alvarez, Beneath the Christmas Stars
Kris Pearson, Kiwi Summer Christmas - This is my first read by this author and I didn't care for it. It was basically their sexual thoughts about each other. After I thought it was going to pick up and get interesting it turned into their sex filled conversations. By now, I was thoroughly bored with the lack of plot and the repetitious sex banter and I stopped reading. The small parts about the dogs and the location were interesting. 3*
Khardine Gray, Under the Mistletoe - I've been wanting to read this author and this is my first read by her. Unfortunately, Ms. Gray doesn't understand the use of a comma, since many were missing and some of the commas used were incorrectly placed; very distracting because the meaning of the sentences are changed. It's also funny to hear an American speak Aussie, but that was hilarious, not annoying. This is a delightful story even though there are some dark spots for both characters. I enjoyed their story since both are interesting and likeable characters. The supporting characters are good and work perfectly in their roles. Lack of major editing lost one star. 4*
Tracey Pedersen, Tinsel Time - Ms. Pedersen is one of my favorite Aussie authors. This story is cute, heartwarming and entertaining, complete with a twist to the abused family stereotype. The characters are likeable and realistic, complete with their dialog. The children are better behaved than most, even when they're mischievous. The best friend/employee is a great supporting character. The magic of Christmas touches everyone in this delightful and funny story. Must share the same editor as Ms. Gray. 4*
Susan Downham, The Christmas House Swap - This is a new author and I liked this book. I enjoyed all the characters and I cheered for the mom and her reasons to swap her house with a stranger. Interesting storylines that kept me immersed until the end. There's a touch of Christmas magic. 4*
Julie Archer, Made Up For Love
Grace Roberts, Trust in Love - This is my first read by this author and I loved it. My favorite of the stories I've read in this collection. It is well written, interesting with likable characters. The storylines are heartwarming and heart wrenching, but such a lovely novella perfect for Christmas or any time. Well edited, thank you so much for that, Ms. Roberts! 5*
Zena Oliver, The Garland Effect - This is my first read by this author and it struck me as out of place with the stories I've read so far. It has detectives working on a crime and an officer helps solve the case. From there it's a budding romance in an environment that could end their careers. The characters are likable, but since the story was of the mystery/crime genre, it didn't fit my mood and I stopped when the romantic thoughts were just too much. Well edited. 4*
Joslyn Westbrook, Fake Billionaire Fiancé at Christmas
Overall, I give this anthology 4.4 Stars. I definitely recommend reading the book.
**Christmas Kiss in London by Joanne Dannon--5 Stars
I loved Amber and Darcy's story from their meet-cute to their HEA. They formed a solid friendship that turned to love. Even though they were actually physically together for only a few days, they already had a strong bond to anchor their HEA.
**Beneath the Christmas Stars by Tracey Alvarez--5 Stars
Who says opposites don't attract? Astrophysicist Art and Llama Mama Karen prove that not only do they attract, they combust. I loved how these two worked their way past first impressions, misconceptions, and awkwardness to find the magic of the Christmas season and attain their HEA.
**Kiwi Summer Christmas by Kris Pearson--4 Stars
Brigitte and Steve had a lot in common besides their instant attraction. I enjoyed their banter. I like how Steve offered her a no-strings involved opportunity and then threw in all these temptations to get her to accept. I thought the climactic scene was resolved a little too easily. It never was really explained why Jess was in Ann's room and being beaten with a brush.
**Under the Mistletoe by Khardine Gray--2 Stars
This was an okay story and I would have given it 3 Stars except it was unedited. "Cost" was "costed" and mistakes like that were rampant throughout the story. Sentences started with lowercase letters, periods in place of commas, etc. It was a mess. The dialogue didn't always sound like real people. Several times I thought about not reading the whole thing but I plowed through. The story itself was mediocre. There were too many sub-plots for a short story so nothing was really explored.
**Tinsel Time! Men About Town Series by Tracey Pedersen--5 Stars
When the Grinch meets 3 Christmas loving kids and their mom, he gets a lesson in the magic of Christmas and what love truly means. I loved how Nathan fell for the kids as quickly as he did their mom. I also enjoyed how he encouraged Skye to believe in herself and gently helped her overcome her fears.
**The Christmas House Swap by Susan Downham--4 Stars
Sometimes what seems like the worst thing to happen can lead to the best thing in a person's life. Such was the case with Kate. If she hadn't been jilted at the altar she never would have met Steven and fallen in love. It sounds like a common trope but this one has a fresh angle.
**Made Up For Love by Julie Archer--5 Stars
I enjoyed the story from the meet-cute to the HEA. I'd love tall, dark, and handsome to rescue me in my time of need. Or to make a grand gesture when he screwed up.
**Trust in Love by Grace Roberts--5 Stars
Zach and Leilani have been burned by workplace romances in the past and are wary of giving in to their feelings. Love conquers all. This is the only story that made me cry.
**The Garland Effect by Zena Oliver--4 Stars
This story wasn't a Christmas story like the rest of the anthology. An office romance could cost Brad and Dee their jobs but their attraction is too great to ignore. Brad fell in love with Tyler as much as he did Dee even though he never expected to marry and have a family.
**Fake Billionaire Fiancé at Christmas by Joslyn Westbrook--5 Stars
Ivy takes an acting job as Chase's fake fiancé over the Christmas holiday. Sparks fly from the minute they meet thanks to BB. An enjoyable story from their meet-cute to their HEA.
What a delightful gift to a friend or oneself this book will be – I highly recommend it after reading two of my favorite authors’ novellas just last night AND I can’t wait to read more each evening until I have finished all of them!
KIWI SUMMER CHRISTMAS by Kris Pearson: Steve Sorenson’s smiles and kind loving ways melted my heart perhaps even more than they did Brigitte Foster’s – what a charming wonderful book boyfriend he is and his relationship with shepherdess Brigitte put a smile on my face to go to sleep with. Brigitte was the type of woman I think many of us would love to be: strong, caring, open and a delight in so many ways. This couple was one I loved and will smile about when I think about them through the day.
BENEATH THE CHRISTMAS STARS by Tracey Alvarez: Being stranded during winter holidays usually means being snowbound alone in a cabin but not when you live in New Zealand. Karen Wallace finds herself falling for Art Donnelly when they find themselves under the same roof with her friend and friend’s brother. Instead of skiing they head out to a lake and paddleboard, no gingerbread men cookies to decorate but a pavlova to bake and stargazing with an astrophysicist who knows his stuff has never been more fun.
I enjoyed the two novellas I read and look forward to meeting new authors through the novellas in this anthology. I highly recommend this collection of books and hope you will, too!
Thank you to Kris Pearson for the ARC – This is my honest review.
🎄Christmas spirit and sweet ❤romance spanning the 🌐 globe in a terrific collection!😍 October 30, 2018 Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase 👍👍This is a great and varied collection of sweet, holiday romances! I was originally drawn to the collection by familiar Australian and New Zealand authors like Tracey Alvarez, Kris Pearson and Joanne Dannon. I love to read stories set Downunder and in the British Isles and the collection delivered in that regard. From Melbourne, Sydney and Tasmania to New Zealand's Lake Tekapo and sheep country in the North Island, and to London and Scotland, whether it's a warm weather or a frigid Christmas you are searching for, it's all here. There are also some stories set in the U.S. to round things out, but I must admit, I read those set abroad first.
Some of my favorites: Susan Downham's Christmas House Swap - really touching tale of a woman who's reached bottom after being jilted at the altar and finds kindness, hope and a love interest with strangers during a house swap in Tasmania
Joanne Dannon's Christmas Kiss in London - fate and Facebook bring together two strangers across the globe
Tracey Alvarez's Beneath the Christmas Stars - A woman with a unique career working with alpacas and llamas finds romance under the stars near New Zealand's Lake Tekapo. and
Julie Archer's Made Up for Love - a pre-holiday blizzard traps two London travelers together in Scotland
Treat yourself to this set of well-written stories. Each story is novella length and brimming with romance and the Christmas spirit.:-)
A great copulation of Christmas love stories to read over the holidays. If you’re looking for a few sweet innocent ready this book is for you. Found a few authors that I will be watching out for. There are many wonderful stories in this book but here are my favorites
Christmas Kiss in London Really interesting beautiful story. What amounts to an accidental social media following turns in to a wonderful friendship and romance.
Beneath the Christmas Stars A car breakdown leads them to spend Christmas holidays together. He is not a fan of the season and she totally into the spirit of the season.
Under the Mistletoe This one was so sweet. Who won’t want a man that tries that hard to get the one!
Made Up for Love What a wonderful story this was. Really enjoyed this one, what a great way to spend time while stranded by a storm.
The Garland Effect This was a great story that has a few life events in it to make you feel.
Fake Billionaire Fiancé at Christmas Really loved reading this story. Great short story that had me finishing it in one sitting. He is a billionaire who needs someone to play his fiancé. He wasn’t expecting a spitfire who wasn’t effected by his wealth. They worked so hard to follow the rules!
I've only read two of the stories so far as but enjoyed both of them and look forward to reading the rest.
Christmas Kiss in London by Joanne Dannon was a lovely story about two people meeting by sheer accident. To appease a boring guy who won't take no for an answer she friends him, but actually friends someone with a similar name, intending to delete it later. Of course she forgets and the rest is a sweet story about two people getting to know each other online before actually meeting in person.
Tinsel Time by Tracey Pedersen is about a family who the victims of domestic violence. Their story would be totally unbelievable if I didn't read the blog by chumplady and see what real life victims go through. They meet Nathan when he moves them to their new home - something he and his buddy do for free for families trying to make a new start. Nathan is a grinch who doesn't really like Christmas, but after spending time with the family he is converted. I really like this one. Skye has been badly burnt and doesn't come around too quickly.
I was gifted with an ARC copy and I am voluntarily providing this honest review.
This Christmas romance assortment is a great way to try new authors. That is my plan. I received a free copy of this book from one of the authors. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. I enjoyed reading 'Christmas Kiss in London. by Joanne Dannon. To get rid of a persistent bore who insists that they become Facebook friends, Amber randomly selects a similar man's name, Darcy. Amber ends up good friends with Darcy, a stuntman on the other side of the world. At Christmastime, they connect. I started Tracey Alverez's 'Beneath the Christmas Stars' but it didn't interest me at this time. I skipped ahead to Tracey Pedersen's 'Tinsel Time' since I enjoy reading her stories. Nathan volunteers to help abused women move with their families to a new place. Nathan isn't into the Christmas spirit until he meets Skye and her three children. Nathan keeps being drawn to help them. Skye is not ready to trust any man again, but maybe Nathan can change her mind. I liked this story too. I plan to continue reading the other stories over the holidays. Many of the authors I have not read before.
