Langston Lopez grew up in Elsa, Texas, the only place he knew for most of his life. Half Mexican and half White, he didn’t let racism or poverty stop him from living the life he wanted. After facing many hardships, he found his passion: bodybuilding. Working part time as a UPS driver, he travels from city to city in his spare time, winning trophies and making a name for himself. Blessed with a great physique he worked diligently to obtain, a good dose of charm, and good looks, women flock to him like moths to a flame. Getting female attention is easy for Langston — until he meets Yasmine English, that is.
Yasmine has moved to Elsa from Dallas, Texas to start a new life. A young, divorced mother of a hearing-impaired fourteen-year-old son, she works at a grocery store that she soon hopes to own. The last thing on her mind is getting to know the six-foot-three hunk of muscle with jet black hair, tattoos, and honey-colored eyes that drops off boxes of perishables and flirts like there is no tomorrow. One day though, fate brings them together in the most terrifying of ways...
Yasmine stuffs bags with soft bread and canned goods, but she also has her own crosses to bear. Langston doesn’t only carry weight in barbells; he has his share of baggage and it is far heavier than the packages he delivers from house to house.
Faced with a new reality, both must deal with a new set of problems and perhaps blessings, too. Can these two lay down their burdens, lighten the load, hold tight to one another, and find their way to the light within?

taking a chance on life
Both divorced single mother Yasmine English and Langston Lopez wanted more out of life. Yasmine started her life over by divorcing her over bearing husband Sebastian Martinez and left Dallas and took her hearing impaired son and moved to small town Elsa, Texas where she managed her uncle's grocery story. Langston had not planned on staying a UPS driver all of his life. He wanted more and just had to find his niche. When the couple met at the grocery store during one of Langston's deliveries, Yas was really mean to him. After he saved her life during a robbery, she had to apologize and made up by going out on a date. They hit it off well. Even her son Noah fell in love with Langston, so much so that his father was livid and caused a ruckus. Yasmine was not having it though. She'd put up with his controlling angst during their marriage and she was not giving him that power ever again. Noah, being the mature teenager he was put his father in check with a promise he was determined to keep if his father went through with his plans. Langston wanted to tear Sebastian a new one when he found out what his plans were.
Langston is a hard working and determined man who loves his family dearly and wants the best for them. He'd give the shirt off of his back if need be to help his parents. He dreamed of being able to do so. Yasmine was right there with his back with his ideas of his own business., and he was there with hers. Just don't get on his bad side or he'll give you a mouthful about yourself.
Tiana wrote a story about a couple trying their best to survive their life and trying to do better for themselves, each other, their family and community. It was nice to read about a man who was romantic. He saw what her wanted and knew instantly that Yas was the woman he'd been waiting on for his HEA. He was able to make his dreams come through with Yas and their family by his side. With the success of their businesses, he was able to do for his family like he always wanted to plus make sure the community was served.

Mr. Libra what a man
I am a fan of TL. I read most of her work and I'm never disappointed. I have been reading the zodiac series; taking my time and reading them as I have time. I have enjoyed every single book I have read in this series and this book delivered like I expected it to. I am not going to spoil this by going into a lengthy review. However, what I will say is that you will fall in love with both characters and their families and relate to their real life issues, wants, hopes, and dreams. This book was so relatable; an actual slice of life. I encourage anyone reading this review to check out this book. You won't be disappointed.

I love it!
Langston is one strong man. It shows how he fought for the life he deserves. He made a promise to himself and succeeded. Yasmine a single mother trying to make ends meet and take care of her son, proves you have to trust your heart again to find the love you deserve. Wonderful story. It had me laughing and that speech Noah gave will have you in tears. Two thumbs way up!

Good As Expected
Ms. Laveen's novels are always enjoyable, well written, with fully developed characters and a good story. This one was no exception. I like how the characters didn't come from wealth but worked and persevered to make it financially and to make the relationship work. I have really enjoyed the series and the concept.

I love this series!
Mr Libra is one of my favorites. His humble background was a welcome change of pace for a romance book. He had big dreams and saw them to fruition. Everyone needs a man like him in their life.

This is so my Boyfriend
I was waiting for this story because I'm dating a Libra. I wanted to see if the traits of the character were the same as his and they are. I enjoyed the story and the family drama. Looking forward to the final two books.

Good
Nice story. Little drama. Chemistry cool. Langston was such a sweet and thoughtful guy. Yasmine was strong, vulnerable, sweet, and loving. I liked that they supported one another in their times of need. Sebastian was a dirt bag and Noah was a nice kid.

Wonderful male "Cinderella" story
I really loved how he overcame most of his adversity 's. Wasn't crazy about the "down home" way they talkef, but I understand that this where they were from and the way it was. I do however noticed that they didn't quite have that " hillbilly " vocabulary in the end

Loving Libra
I loved Langdon and how sweet and funny he was. His protective nature and the love he automatically gave Noah w as so sweet. Loved the Lopez family as a whole. There were some good laughs as well. Well done a great addition to the series.
