Kya is seventeen years old, and besides dealing with the normal pre-adult hormones that every teenager goes through, she is about to find her whole existence turned completely around. Raised by her aunt because her parents wanted her to be safe, now that she is almost eighteen, Kya will learn the truth. However, before anyone can tell her, strange things start to happen, and Kya can feel herself and her environment changing right before her eyes. Then, it happens. One night, she is attacked on her way home...by something that wasn't human. When a woman named Taria saves her and informs her of what attacked her, Kya's world is changing. With no idea on who and what to trust anymore, she quickly must come into her own while adjusting to everything going on around her. But the question is... is she strong enough to survive?
THIS STORY PICKS UP ALMOST RIGHT WHERE DEADLY CONSEQUENCES LEFT OFF . DANG I CAN'T WAIT FOR ITHER A PART 2 TO THIS OR ANOTHER TARIA BOOK, BECAUSE THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING. A FEW GRAMMATICAL ERRORS BUT I CAN OVERLOOK IT SINCE THE FROM PAGE TO PAGE THE STORY FLOWS.
I love the fact that everyone fought a good fight. It's has more family then she thought. With the right training she will be a force to be reckoned with along with Taria and the rest of the gang. Can't wait for the next book.
Such a crazy and emotional ride. Glad I have already read the first 4 books in Deadly Secrets so I have a good back ground for what is happening. Can't wait to see what else is in store
I read this book out of order.....I read The Brothers That Bite all 5 books first.... I would highly suggest reading The Brothers That Bite series 1-4 first and then read this book. I absolutely love the heroism of Kya. Her confidence, love of people, appreciation for her aunt who raised her, and her passion for helping others. Her world is thrown into chaos as she finds out what she really is by meeting her cousin that she didn’t know exists, Taria. I loved how this ties in with all of the characters from the Brothers That Bite series and it fills in the blanks from Toya and Quinn’s journey. I absolutely love Khalil and how he wanted safety for Kya before anything else. E. Bowser you’re always amazing in storytelling, taking us on an adventure, passionate love scenes, and detailed fight scenes that makes the readers feel apart of the story.
I enjoyed the story line but there was so many typos I had to figure out the way it was supposed to have been wired or read other than that I really enjoyed the story I would like to know what happened to Her parents I would love to see what happens next
Omg I lived this book from beginning to end. I can't wait for part two. This book had so much going on I could not put this down. I can't wait to see what happens next and what all powers everyone has and who wins the war
Man this book was everything. Had awesome sex drama love betrayal and justice. You was on a real rollercoaster ride going thru every emotion looking forward to the next book.
Kya is developing powers she didn’t know she had and is being sucked into a world she didn’t know existed. I love how this latest installment of this series. Taria is still developing powers and I love how her and Nya connect!
There was so much premise to this being a great book, but there was no flow to the story, no back story for the characters. What little there was made no sense. There was barely any emotions when the baby had to be given away as soon as the mother had it. Just a bunch of sentences in a paragraph, sometimes without the necessary punctuation to complete a thought before jumping to another one or an action that just sprung up out of nowhere. I couldn't understand what the heck was going on or why, basically. I'm sorry, I tried. Couldn't read it and I'm an easy reader.
