Everyone Ends Up Poor!: Why Retirement Planning Is All Backwards And How To Fix It

What is financial freedom and how do you achieve it? That is a question I asked myself in 2014. My name is Curtis Ray, from Gilbert, Arizona and the author of this book Everyone Ends Up Poor™. I want to tell you my story of financial discovery through family, entrepreneurism, product development, and an array of experiences. This is not a traditional story of an investment strategy secret or 401(k) success, but a story of true pursuit of knowledge, breaking down the whole system of financial planning, and discovering the inefficiencies and underwhelming results of the 401(k), IRA, Roth IRA and other traditional financial plans. Throughout the book I look back on my life of running numerous businesses, what I learned through rapid success, partnerships, my rise and fall of financial wealth, and what ultimately led me to a career in educating the public on the Rules of Money and how to achieve financial security. This book is like no book every written. Explaining clearly why a 401(k), IRA, Roth IRA, and other traditional retirement vehicles are not your friend, were never designed to produce you a good retirement income, and why Everyone Ends Up Poor™. Once someone understands the pitfalls of the current financial system, I explain the steps that can be taken to improve your retirement success by up to 400%. Through the experience and knowledge found in my journey, anyone can start the path of financial freedom today. In this book I explain the 7 Rules of Money prosperity, the 9 pillars of financial planning, pitfalls to avoid as an entrepreneur, and the one-of-a-kind financial strategy called Maximum Premium Indexing or MPI™. Everyone Ends Up Poor™ will challenge every belief you have regarding the current financial planning system.

Learning about MPI was intriguing and in some cases confusing. I am very excited to learn how to actually apply this concept. The biggest issue is that I would be starting this financial plan late in life ( I am 65). However, it is good for a younger( 20 - 30) person to read this book and then immediately apply it to their portfolio. The effects of compounding interest will be lost to the ones who begin late. Start now to build your retirement income.
Curtis Ray has a link to his website, but it lead to a sight focused on his book. That is not a bad thing. But it is more important for the readers to become disciplined early on.;

A quick read with hints of basic financial concepts found in 100’s of other books and articles, yet wrapped in an advertisement for a financial product. A 108 page sales pitch that is purposely vague until the final 20 pages. Page 82 ends with the sentence “Any financial plan without a 0% Floor can never produce good income for you.” Without being a financial expert, I find this hard to believe. The author may very well be a trustworthy, knowledgeable and ethical human but the writing style and word choices are more persuasive than informative and leave a strong undertone that it’s all too good to be true.

Don't end up poor!

Even with decades of experience in the world of finance, this book really opened my eyes on the realities of financial planning and retirement planning. You don't have to save millions for a comfortable retirement.. you just need the money to COMPOUND safely and securely. This book really opened my eyes to how this can be done - simply and easily. You just need a little dedication and an open mind.

Great book to highlight the fundamentals of your financial life 👌!

The key takeaway if you don't learn anything from this book is to pay yourself first. Exciting to have this type of esoteric knowledge out there for all to learn from.
