I feel profoundly grateful to have come across Franz Ruppert's work. His concept of symbiotic trauma has enriched my understanding of myself, my patients, of history and of the world around me. Every great thinker who inspires us to find the courage to face and be fully present (emotionally, somatically and cognitively) to trauma and fear is giving something to the world that deeply matters - the ability to care and love ourselves and others.
This book, following in the footsteps of his previous one (Symbiosis and Autonomy), holds out the possibility of a brighter future, one where there is more support for mothers, fathers and their infant children, and less likelihood of the transmission of inter-generational wounds and perpetrator/victim splits.
After immersion in his work, the reader will likely want to create their own constellations, with the goal of letting go of what does not belong to them and of achieving the intentions which were previously thwarted by attempts to avoid inner pain.
